Evelyn is an impossible woman and love when things go her way.
"What's the surprise about?" Anna couldn't tame her curiosity anymore as she stared at him.
"That's why it's a surprise sweet." He brought her hands up to his lips and pressed his lips gently on it.
"About the engagement party..." Anna trailed off. She was done hiding her life from everyone, she's married to Noah and now more than ever she wanted their relationship out there. She wanted to world to know about them.
She's had her revenge on Mack and Nari, it's time to focus on her life.
What about it?" Noah met her gaze.
"I know my auntie's hate you, but we can work things out. We'll make them understand there's nothing they can do than just accept you and us." She bit her lower lips.
Of course they'll have to accept him. Noah didn't care if they accepted or not, all he cares about is how to tell Anna the truth. He was scared for the first time in his life and it is because of these woman here. His wife.
"It's beyong your family Anna. But we'll always find a way to make things right wouldn't we." He smiled at her and she returned it.
Anna let out a silent sigh. Last night to this morning has been so hectic. First she had been scared about his family's rejection only to realize they actually do love her.
"I almost thought your mother would hate me especially after the stunt Cara and her mother tried to pull." Anna rested on his shoulder.
"It still wouldn't have changed a thing if she rejected you. You're my wife and that's all that matters." He pulled her closer Into his warm embrace.
Both people stepped out of the car once they arrived before a familiar building. Only that this time the building looked new compared to the last one she had seen.
This building, this three story building apartment, looked alot like Mack Yong's company. Anna could tell cause while she was dating Mack, she would always come here with food for him.
Since her life was destroyed she was bored staying at home all the time. She decided to cook for Mack and make sure he has the best meal ever, but each time she came here, Mack would send her away without even tasting or glancing at the food.
Back then she had thought that was the right way to live. You endure a man's bullshit cause you're nothing and can't even do anything for yourself. But right now, she finally realized how stupid she had been all this while. How dumb it sounded.
She had been a fool, but not anymore. Her hatred and anger for Mack doubled as she stepped in.
Noah's bodyguards stood at every corner of the building. There was a red ribbon at the entrance of the building with a flower at the center. Paul, Lola and a few other people stood at a corner waiting and smiling as she got closer.
"Noah." Anna called a little bit confused.
"My sweet, this is the surprise I have for you. This is a gift for being my wife." Anna stared at the large building in awe. Noah, he just started a beauty company for her just for being his wife. Not only did she own half of everything he owned, she also owned her company.
She turned to look at him with so much admiration in her eyes. Her heart was about to explode for excitement, no one has ever treated her this way. This love, Noah's love, is the best gift nature has given her.
"Thank you." Anna hugged him.
"It's nothing." He pegged her lips but not too much.
"I'll step aside a little so that they can capture you and publicize this." He said and quickly went ahead to stand at a corner. Anna didn't want that, she didn't want the camera anymore, she wanted to be in reality but she knew more than anyone this was her job.
Noah is only here to help, but she's the public figure here. She'll always be popular so there was no point trying to run away from who she is.
Lola who has been standing with Paul till now walked to her side. "It's nice to see you again madam." She said handing a white kerchief to Anna and it was only then she knew she was crying.
Noah's sweetness towards her is Infectious, poisoning ever ounce of her. "Thank you Lola."
"Compose yourself your shoot starts now." Anna dabber her face quickly with the kerchief. She sniffed and in the next moment, her face had returned to the normal smiling face everyone knew about. There was not an ounce of tears or sorrow in those eyes.
If they hadn't been there at the moment, they would have never believed she was crying just now.
"Alright, start shooting in 3, 2, 1..." Flashes from the camera flew from one angle to another.
"It's time to cut the rope." He announced enthusiastically, "G-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s." Everyone sang together.
"Glamorous!!" At the sound of glamorous Anna joined the large scissors together and cut through the ribbon. They all laughed and clapped and the new building. The photographers stopped filming and everyone stepped in.
Lora and her team met with the photographers as they discussed with photo or video to release to the press immediately. Anna went ahead to hug Noah again, this time she was the one to kiss him herself.
"This is growth." Noah mused to see her cheeks turn red. This is all he wanted, to see his wife smile again. He didn't care about anything else.
"I won't do it anymore." Anna said bashfully.
"No no you don't have to be shy my sweet girl. You can do whatever you want." He pulled her closely stealing her away from the photographers filming the entire place for publicity. Since Anna was already a public figure, it wouldn't be hard to make this place known.
"Sir someo..."
"Good morning Mr Declan." Mack who had squeezed his way through the security guards rushed spoke to the man facing them with his back, before Paul could. He has been waiting patiently for days, waiting for the right moment to finally meet Noah Declan.
He felt like since the man had bought his company, he would help him bounce back up. But when Mack got here, he discovered this place, the place he once called his cooperation was now turned into a beauty salon.
Noah Declan has turned a multimillion dollar company into a beauty brand. He wanted to go crazy, but he couldn't.
His shares, his 2% shares was all gone. He had nothing left. After everything he's been through, this place was the only hope he had.
"Who are you?" Noah turned to look at him and Mack's eyes turned wide at the woman standing next to Noah.
"Y... Y... You?" He uttered speechlessly. He couldn't believe his eyes. He had suspected Anna was behind all of these but he had his doubt because he thought she was in love with him.
This man, the man that had saved her Anna from him the night he had set up the paparazzi. He was the same man that was there the night he had visited their mansion. The man he thought to be her bodyguard. Noah Declan. He's the one backing her up.
Mack couldn't digest everything he had just only realized. He stared at Anna in disbelief.
"What are you doing here?" Anna asked, the anger she once calmed threatened to break free. She never thought in her lifetime she could hate a man she once loved so darely.
"I... I." Mack tried to catch his breath. He couldn't believe his eyes. "I... I... I'm here to see Mr Declan." He managed to say closing his eyes to catch his breath. A lot has happened already, Nari was already in his next threatening to abort their baby if he doesn't find a means of survival for them.
He understood her, they couldn't possibly bring a child in this condition. Right now they barely had a place to stay and even his father's people have rejected them cause his mother had issues with everyone and they cut ties with them.
"What do you want?" Noah asked this time coldly. All the warmth on his face before was now all gone. The man standing before him had been the person to hurt his sweet girl. He can't forgive Mack, he'll never forgive Mack. He'll make him pay. Him and the pregnant girl that thinks she can still find her way to the top.
He'll make sure they beg to be killed. He's Noah Declan, he's known to afflict pain on people.
