Chapter 82 EVELYN'S PARTY 3

When Evelyn Declan opened the gift Cara had given her, she hadn't expected it to be the jewel she had always wanted for a long time. It was a pearl necklace, but a very rare one. One they say can only be found in the deepest part of the ocean and because of how dangerous it was to get, people rarely asked for it.

The only pearl that glowed in the dark. Everyone stared at the pearl in awe, while most people can have it, others can only stare at it from afar. A priceless jewel has been gifted to Evelyn Declan.

The envious eyes of the women in the room glared at the jewel, especially Hannah. Even if she smiled, deep down she was dying of envy. How could her daughter buy something this priceless for a woman who is not guaranteed to be her mother-in-law, yet complains about not having any money?

She hoped the Declan's would accept her daughter after this. This fortune spent cannot go to waste.

"You must have paid a fortune to get this," Evelyn said and Cara nodded.

Seeing the gift Cara had given Anna felt embarrassed at the flowers she brought. She had asked for gifts and Noah told her to bring flowers, her flowers were nothing compared to the gifts worth millions of dollars.

"Let's go dance my dear." Elder Vincent said to his daughter-in-law and she followed him to the center of the room. Maybe she could give her a gift when there isn't much attention on her anymore.

Since Vincent was old, he was way shorter than she was. Anna could see the top of his bald hair. He held her hands and they started dancing together. This is the first time in a long time Vincent is genuinely happy, Anna is the best gift Noah has given the family.

"Who is that?" Evelyn who had noticed the only person in a white mini dress asked her husband seated next to her and Lionel shrugged. He had also been too excited to see the girl and now he did, he was more than proud of his son.

He knew Noah had found the right woman, especially since he hadn't stopped staring at her since they got in. He has even completely forgotten to give his mother his gift.

"She's Noah's model, I think he invited her." Evelyn nodded and took her gaze off the girl. She had lost interest in her the moment she found out the girl was a model. She hated them, models, and other people who call themselves celebrities. It was because to her they lived double lives.

On the internet, they're some saint, and in real life, they're murderers, prostitutes, and opportunists. She hated them and didn't want them close to her family. The last thing Evelyn wanted was to bring the media to their family.

"She's a beauty. He should be careful with that one." She said to her husband as her eyes returned to the girl her father-in-law was dancing with. Lionel nodded without uttering a thing. His son was already in love with the girl. For now, he couldn't tell if she was using Noah for his money, or if she really loved him. He hoped Anna Sui was a good girl as his findings say.

Besides they had killed her parents in the past, and they owe her a lot now.

"Father seems to be having fun." Lionel smiled.

"At least he's not been on your d*ck all night long, he could use a few distractions." As Evelyn's eyes moved across the room, she finally saw her son standing in a corner, talking with a few people in the room. Her head was raised high. She was so proud of her son and what he had become.

Noah is a prominent business man and above that, he's a handsome bachelor more than ready for marriage. Most women have already started submitting their daughters, but out of them all, Cara has been the one to successfully win her heart. Especially after her gift tonight.

"Evelyn my dear." A woman walked up to her again with two young girls beside her. All of them smiled as they saw her. They would be the fifth family that has come to introduce their daughter to her.

"Gina." Evelyn greeted.

"Happy birthday my dear." The woman named Gina said.

"Happy birthday lady Evelyn." The two girls with Gina sang together and Evelyn smiled.

"Thank you."

"This is Emily and Luna, my beautiful daughters." The woman called Gina introduced her girls and Evelyn nodded with a small smile again.

"This is our gift for you." Luna stretched her hands towards the woman. Her mother had asked her to make a good impression so that she could be in line with the girls Evelyn had chosen for her son.

"Please drop it among the other gifts, I'll be sure to open it later." Both girls dropped the gift and left.

Noah who has been talking to a few people finally stopped talking and walked up to his mother. Since not many people knew what he truly looked like, especially now he's grown, he didn't have many people flocking around him. Somehow he was glad to have reserved his identity from public eyes.

Usually, he rarely attends events to the end, but tonight, he's staying because of his wife. He looked over at her, her dance with his grandfather was over, and the old man looked exhausted but still pumped up. He had been begging to see Anna for weeks and now he did, he didn't want to waste more minutes with her.

Anna herself seems to be enjoying the old man's company. She moved her gaze around and when it fell on Noah she smiled and Noah returned it. This is the best place she has been to since a celebrity.

In here, people didn't care about her status in the world, everyone treated her normally. She had a moment to be herself, a moment when she wouldn't be afraid of being seen in the media for something she had no idea about.

"Mother," Noah called when he reached his mother and pegged her lips. Evelyn hugged her son closely.

"My son. Where is your gift for your mother." Noah turned to his wife again and then back to his mother. That silly woman is still having fun, forgetting they had to gift his mother together.

"It'll be ready by morning." He said and Evelyn nodded. Among all the gifts here, Noah's gift is the one she anticipated the most. She loved the little things he gave her.

"Father." Noah greeted the old man and he nodded. He wasn't so close to his son, but he was glad the boy still recognized him as his father.

While Noah spoke to his parents, in a corner of the room, two girls who were conversing and laying heavy curses on Anna stared at him.

"Cara, now's your chance," Beth said to her friend.
