He would have easily helped her, but she had demanded to handle everything herself.
Anna made a grave mistake admitting everything in public, but he was curious to see how she comes out of it.
"Sir don't you think we should do something about madam?" Paul asked his boss. It was so unlike his boss to avoid the humiliation his wife was facing online. People mocked her and other loath her harder than before.
"No, she'll handle everything herself." Was all Noah said to the man.
Paul stared at his boss in astonishment. He had no idea what this man was thinking. One moment Anna Sui was his sweet wife and he would protect her, and the next moment he wanted her to suffer in humiliation when something can be done?
"And how about the Yong Company?" Paul asked shifting the conversation from his boss's wife, he didn't want to offend the man with his questions.
"I want it back and running and I want Mack Yong to work for me." Noah stated coldly and Paul only nodded at his boss words without contributing a thing.
He had made Mack a multi billionaire overnight and now want him to work for him? He doubt that proud man will work for his boss.
Paul didn't know Mack Yong well enough, but from the little he's learnt, that man was cocky. He looks down on everyone beneath him like they are nothing.
Paul followed Noah into the elevator, when they stepped in. He watched his boss adjust his tie. He looked exhausted and angry at the same time.
"Do the grand opening will it still happen. The event center is being decorated and everything is in place." They had sent out invitations to prominent people in the city. But from the way things are going, Paul fears his boss will cancel the opening ceremony.
"That depends on my wife." Noah stated.
The elevator ascended smoothly, gliding toward the pinnacle of the towering structure.
As the doors opened on the last floor, a breathtaking panorama unfolded—the entire expanse of the bustling city sprawled beneath, its skyscrapers piercing the sky like majestic sentinels.
The president's office, a sanctuary of luxury and power, awaited beyond the gleaming entrance. A reddish-brown timber of hardwood panels adorned the walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows offered an uninterrupted view of the city.
A sprawling desk dominated the room, adorned with polished artifacts from around the world.
Paul who was standing beside his boss walkrd towards the majestic office. He could recall working and building this office for months just to fit his boss's taste and he was glad he did. They had used the entire floor for Noah's office just like he wanted.
An expansive bookshelf housed volumes of wisdom, stood tall at a corner.
As both people stepped inside the office, they noticed a slender figure in a black dress standing beside one of the curtains, staring at the vast city silently.
Anna has been waiting in here for an hour now for the president to arrive. Lora had told her he was in the conference meeting and she understood things like that took long.
As her fingers funbled on the curtains she wondered if they were discussing about what happened. She wondered if they wanted to drop her like every other entertainment companies. She was scared.
Even if Noah has promised to bring her back on the line light, there's only much he could do. He couldn't possibly have control over everything in this city could he?
She bit her lower lips lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice the person standing behind her.
"Are you alright?" Anna flinched and quickly turned to see Noah standing before her. She furrowed her eyes wondering if he had meeting with the president too.
Was he here because he had brought her and now he was introuble because of her?
"Noah I'm sorry for causing trouble?" Anna bit her lips. Their plans went accordingly, it's just that it wasn't finished yet.
Paul who has entered the office with his boss, excused himself. Leaving the couple alone in the office. He also informed the security not to let anyone see the president for the rest of the day.
To think the grand opening of Linco was going to be tonight and now it all depends on the mood of his boss's wife. Anything she says is what his boss would do.
Love was indeed a strange thing. Who knew one day Noah Declan would fall in love with a random troublesome woman. A woman he has given e eeything he owns without care.
Paul could only hope their relationship last forever.
"Trouble? I asked if you're okay not if you caused trouble, and what trouble did you cause?" Noah walked towards his bar and brought a bottle of his favorite drink. He poured the liquid into two glasses handing one over to her and Anna walked over to where he stood.
She was confused at his action. Was Noah close to the president of the company? How can he just walk in here to get a drink from the bar?
"You'd get us into more trouble Noah." Anna stated and in the next minute she clashed against his hard chest. He tilted his head and bit down on her lower lips. "Ah." Anna yelped holding her lips, staring at Noah with wide eyes.
"Why did you do that?" She frowned.
"Call me by my name one more time and I'll disfigure those lips." Anna turned agape. She was only trying to warn him of the trouble he would cause them if he kept invading the president's office. She had already caused enough trouble, and if Noah put them into more trouble, she was scared the president wouldn't waste any time sending them out. She might even lose her contract and that was more than important to her.
She bit her now sour lips, "Here, tell me about your day darling." Noah handed the glass to her as he sat on the king size seat meant for the president.
"We are meant to meet the president in here..." She pursed her lips, finding it hard to mouth any of the names he wanted her to call him.
Anna wasn't used to so much affection or notice from a man except her grandfather. Mack wasn't at all romantic to her so everything Noah did seemed new to her. It was hard for her to adjust but she was trying.
"What if he comes in and see us invading his privacy?"
"What president?" Noah asked a little confused too and then he smiled.
This little wife of his, she has no idea who she has married does she?
"Come here my love." Anna blinked at his words. Everything Noah did was making her dizzy.
Right now he was acting like he loved her so much, but earlier, he had ignored completely like she didn't exist.
