Chapter 43 SHE'S BACK

Today, not only was she claiming her position as a partner of Linco entertainment, she was also going to be announced as a top model for Linco at their dinner party. And also tonight, was the night she returned as Anna Sui and not just Anna anymore.
She needed all of the luck she could get.
A knock was heard on her bedroom door and she went ahead to open it. It was her Aunties. Though annoying at times, they were all she had.
"Won't you let us in Anna?" Grace asked and Anna made way for them to step in. "Good morning aunt Kathy."
"Good morning aunt Grace." She greeted.
"It's indeed a pleasant morning Anna." Grace stated seating on her niece's bed as she rubbed her hands on the surface. She could remember the night she usually come here but the room and bed was always empty and cold. Those are the cold times she knew her niece was a grown woman, and right now she's a married woman.
Though she was yet to tell them why she just got married. But she was sure Anna would explain things to them when she has time.
"Your h... husband told us about your day today." Kathy couldn't believe she was referring to that monster as Anna's husband. The man that threatened to kill her and her grandfather if she said a thing to Anna about his family.
She hated that devil more than anything.
"He told us about your return to the Media today."
Anna smiled at her aunt Kathy's attitude but she nodded. She couldn't understand why her aunties hated Noah. He isn't a bad man, he's the sweetest person she's ever met. There was nothing to hate about Noah, maybe a little, since he's cold to everyone else except her.
"Yes, I have a press conference this morning." Anna let out a nervous sigh.
"You can do it Anna. Just like you've always done to this moment sweetheart. Trust yourself first, and believe you'll make us proud today." Anna nodded at Gracie's words. Motivation is all she needs for her day to be better.
"Are you sure you're ready Anna. The last time..." Kathy trailed. They have seen Anna break before them. She cried every morning and night, barely ate a thing.
It wasn't only Anna that was affected, but their family too. Their business had a little issue, all the company that had partnered with them left.
"I'm ready." Anna said.
"Then if you are, you have my blessings this time. I know you can do this Anna. You've done it countless times before."
"Anytime you're feeling sad, always remember you're Anna Sui. The Sui's are not losers." She nodded.
"Come give us a hug child." Anna hugged her aunt's.
Another knock was immediately heard on her door and all women let each other go. Anna went ahead to open the door. A young girl holding a black dress in her hands, along with other boxes was standing before her room door.
"Lola when did you arrive?" Anna asked stepping away so that she could step in.
"Everything you'll need for the press conference is ready miss Anna. Your MUA is waiting in your green room." Lola informed her. As she dropped the boxes and dress, she saw the elderly woman in the room.
"Good day ma'am." Lola greeted.
"Thank you dear. Anna we'll leave you to prepare, make sure you come for breakfast." Anna nodded at her aunt Kathy's words and watched both women leave her.
"And the team?" She turned to Lola.
"Everyone is ready, we have everything set and the reporters to ask you questions. Memorize these script and everything will go as planned." She handed a paper over to Anna.
"Do you still know how to apply make up or do you want your MUA to come over?" Lola asked.
"No, I can do that myself." Anna stated.
"Okay." Lola responded.
"Thank you Lola." Anna said.
"It's my pleasure miss Anna. Your press conference is in two hours, hurry up with the preparations." At her words Lola hurried out of her room to check other things that needed attention.
Anna let out a deep sigh, she has never been this nervous in her life. After two years, she was to return to the limelight again.
Maybe this is not a good idea, Maybe she shouldn't do this. She can call Noah and tell him she's not ready. But what good will such decision bring to her?
She can't stop now. She was a step closer to making Mack and Nari pay, and will not rest until they do.
Anna was still in her thoughts when her phone beeped. She smiled, it was a message from Noah.
'Im sending a gift now,

Immediately a knock was heard on her door, when Anna went to the door she could see the old butler standing before it with a pink flower in his hands and a tiny gift box.
"A gift for our lovely miss." He announced.
"Good morning Bean, please place it on the table over there." Anna said and saw the butler step in and placed it where she had asked him to. Bean bowed to her before stepping out of the room.
Anna hurried to the flower and inhaled it's sweet scents. She loved flowers, and it was in pink, her favorite colour.
She picked the little box on the table and quickly opened it.
"Wow." Anna exclaimed staring at the shadow matching diamond jewel in it. She loved it. When she picked her phone she saw another message from Noah.
"Did you love it?"
"I love it. Thank you."
"I love you too."
Anna could feel her heart skip at his messge. Did Noah just confess his love for her?
She placed her hands on her warm cheek, bitting her lower lips, wondering if she should reply to his message or not.
What can she say back? She didn't love Noah, did she?
"I would have been there with you but I can't. We'll talk later."
"Okay.'
Anna placed her phone on the table and went ahead to prepare for her press conference.
The message Noah had sent still lingered in her mind, but she brushed it off. She had all day to think about Noah, right now she had to prepare for the conference.
