"Do I get a reward, sis?"
Without hesitation, I kissed him right in front of Joel.
Joel howled with rage, cursing and thrashing like a wild animal.
No one paid him any attention.
Jack, satisfied, shot a smug look at the raging man.
"Tsk, tsk."
He didn't need words—his meaning was clear.
Joel's face turned ashen with fury as he charged toward us.
This time, I stepped in front of Jack and slapped Joel hard across the face.
"Get lost! Don't show your face again. I'm done with your 'real versus fake love' games. It's pathetic."
I turned away, tugging at Jack's sleeve.
"What about that seafood dinner you promised? I'm starving.
And shouldn't we invite your parents too?"
Jack grinned and called out cheerfully.
"Mom, Dad, let's go! I've already made reservations!"
My parents beamed, quickly gathering their things.
"Coming, coming!"
