Kael said he needed to return to Edinburgh and asked if I'd come with him.
"Me? To your home?" I was surprised. "Is that... appropriate?"
"Why wouldn't it be?" Kael squeezed my hand. "You're my Claimed Omega. Completely legitimate."
"But..."
"No buts." Kael tugged me along. "Let's go."
We arrived in Edinburgh. Kael took me straight to the Nightshade Pack's estate.
Old Victorian architecture, iron gates cast with wolf insignias.
I grew increasingly nervous the deeper we ventured into the property.
"Don't be scared." Kael sensed my anxiety and wrapped a protective arm around my waist. "I'm right here."
We entered the main hall and came face-to-face with Kael's mother—an elegant, intimidating female Alpha.
She saw me and raised a perfectly arched eyebrow:
"Kael. This is...?"
"My Claimed Omega. Elara Grey." Kael introduced me proudly.
"Grey Pack?" Her gaze sharpened. "That minor Pack?"
"Is that a problem?" Kael's aura flared defensively.
"Not at all." She smiled thinly. "Merely surprised."
"Miss Grey, please follow me. We need to have a private conversation."
