I gasp as I open my eyes and realize that I was dreaming. I tilt my head to see my wife sleeping comatose beside me. I smile in relief and then touch her pulse to calm my frightened heart.
Two days and I have been having the same dream in which Tessa's stomach is cut open and she is bleeding profusely. That sight was horrible, more horrible than seeing my parent's lifeless bodies when our car crashed.
Shaking away all the negative and distressing thoughts, I get up from the bed and after freshening up, I change into my running gear. I run for like an hour but my mind still keeps going on Tessa.

"I missed an important file in the study, I need to pick that." I lie flawlessly and when Ann wasn't watching me I gesture for Tessa to follow as this seduction game is going to level up, now.
