Chapter 25

Three months passed in the blink of an eye. My siblings' school break was coming to an end.
During their time in Clason City, James had asked them about their future plans and hired the relevant tutors. Their lessons were jam-packed. It was tiring, but they learned a lot.
Before they left, they thanked James in person, giving him a gift each.

After I sent my siblings off at the airport, I pushed James to the parking lot and saw Brad there.
Brad stood behind a pillar and was wearing a hat. He was a little thinner than the last time I saw him, and he was no longer as spirited as he used to be.
As he had stolen a project from James' company, James took revenge on him as soon as he could.
The Coleman family's company suffered a terrible loss, and Brad was dismissed.
The discord between him and his parents gradually grew more expansive, and they started focusing on their youngest son.
However, Brad had brought it onto himself.

I did not pity him at all.
Brad tried to come closer after he saw me, but he was stopped by my bodyguard once again.
I helped James into the car and ordered the driver to start the engine.
However, less than an hour after we arrived home, Brad appeared at the door.

I still refused to meet him. I contacted his parents to come and pick him up.
His parents kept apologizing over the phone and promised never to let Brad appear in front of me again.
My best friend told me the latest news about Brad and Zoe a month later.
The middle-aged man Zoe got involved with was extremely smart. He stopped meeting Zoe after his wife found out about their affair, and he let his wife deal with Zoe.
Zoe was beaten up by the man's wife at the entrance of a mall a few days ago. The news trended on local news, and she became a disgrace.
A few days later, she received a summon from the court. The middle-aged man's wife wanted her to return all the money her husband had given her.
Zoe was at her wit's end, so she pulled the same old trick again and got together with an old man who had divorced for years.
According to the rumors, the old man was a womanizer and had many diseases. Everybody in the social circle knew about it, but nobody told Zoe. It was clear that Zoe's future would only end in tragedy.
As for Brad, his company suffered a loss, and he was dismissed. All that was a massive blow to him, so he became devastated and developed a drinking problem.
I listened to all that news, and I forgot all about them immediately after that.
On the other hand, Walter had been contacting me frequently lately. He had been beating around the bush, trying to get some benefits from me, but I rejected him.
Walter knew that James' men were by my siblings' side, so he could do nothing to them anymore. He then changed his target to my mother's grave.
He said he would have someone ruin my mother's resting place if I did not agree to his terms.
I was so angry that my body trembled. I sat in silence for a long time and made a decision.
I wanted to move my mother's grave to Clason City. I wanted to cut all ties with Walter and the entire Young family.
I told James about it that night.
He patted my hand and told me calmly, as if we were chatting casually, saying, "Don't worry. Leave it to me."
"How are you planning to do it?"
He did not answer me. He just pulled me in and made me sit on his lap. "Leah, would you think I'm heartless if I went at it a little aggressively?"
I quickly replied, "No. I desperately wished he would live in hell for the rest of his life."
"Alright. I'll do as you wish." James kissed me before he continued, "But, Leah, I don't do any business that won't get me any gains."
His kiss got deeper. "You know what I want."
Of course, I knew what he wanted.
We had been married for so long. Unless I had my monthly period, he never kept his hands off of me. However, I enjoyed it too.
"James, let's get on the bed…"
"I want you right here right now." James grabbed my waist with both hands and said, "Leah, you know my legs can't move, so you'll have to do the work."
I wrapped my arms around his neck and hummed softly in agreement before I kissed him back.
