Chapter 5

“And don’t get jealous now, but Dona and I hit the jackpot on our first try. It’s a boy. One shot, and we’re having a son! Do you know how lucky that is?”
I was speechless.
To have a child with Jeffery, I begged him to go to the clinic and freeze his sperm so we could try IVF. I went through countless hormone injections alone, my abdomen covered in needle marks. The side effects left me twenty pounds lighter in just a month, and when Jeffery saw me, he called me disgusting.

I controlled my diet, religiously took the prescribed medications, and even choked down all the bizarre supplements his mother forced on me—all in an effort to have a baby with him.
While I was doing everything I could to conceive, Jeffery was out having the time of his life.
What he didn’t know was that the reason we hadn’t had children all these years wasn’t because of me—it was because of him. Jeffery had been diagnosed with low sperm count.
But his ego was too fragile and his pride too big, so I hid the test results and lied, telling him he was fine and that the problem was with me.
The doctor had told me that, with Jeffery’s sperm quality, natural conception was nearly impossible.
And with all these years of late nights, drinking, smoking, and partying, his sperm quality must have plummeted even further.

There’s no way the baby Dona’s carrying is Jeffery’s.
But now isn’t the time to tell him the truth.
I couldn’t help but laugh.
Who would have guessed that Jeff, the self-proclaimed playboy, would end up unknowingly raising another man's child?

“Missy, are you home? It’s Stan, the car mechanic.”
I opened the door.
I didn’t expect Stanley to step in and immediately lock it behind him, pinning me against the door.
“If I hadn’t come to see you, would you have forgotten about me and the car altogether?”
Ever since I caught Jeffery cheating, I’d been consumed with thoughts of divorce and hadn’t paid attention to anything else.
“I—I’m sorry, Stan. I really forgot about the car. How much do I owe you? I’ll pay you right now.”
But Stanley pressed me even closer.
“You know that’s not what I meant.”
Before I could react, he pinned my hands above my head, his tongue slipping past my lips, teasing and eager.
In that moment, I felt the sudden urge to let go, just this once.
So, I stood on my tiptoes, meeting Stanley’s deep kiss with my own.
His hands, like serpents, slid around my waist, roaming across my back, igniting flames wherever they touched.
A wave of intense excitement washed over me, and I moved my hips in response.
Encouraged by my eagerness, Stanley’s other hand didn’t stay idle.
“Don’t... don’t touch me there…”
I squirmed, trying to push his fingers away from between my legs, but his hand was relentless. My resistance only seemed to spur him on.
“You’re so sensitive there; just a light touch and you’re already trembling…”
His words, full of desire, made me bite down on my lip, trying to control the overwhelming sensations within me, but he saw right through me.
“You’re so beautiful, Missy. Let it out. I love hearing you.”
Stanley gently nibbled on my earlobe while his hand removed the last, damp barrier between us.
Unable to hold back any longer, I let out a whimper and bit into his strong shoulder.
“Stanley, you know I’m ten years older than you. This won’t end well.”
“How do you know if you don’t try?”
“My husband cheated on me. Are you willing to be with a divorced woman?”
“I can handle that.”

It seemed that none of my concerns mattered to Stanley.
