Zach yelled, "Let's head to Citizen's Hospital! Tina works there!"
My mom slapped him across the face right then, snapping, "What are you talking about?! You want your slut to deliver my daughter's twins?! Heaven knows what treachery she's ready for! No, take us to the nearest hospital!"
Zach was left fuming, but he didn't dare argue and sneakily texted Tina.
I smiled as I looked on.

We soon arrived at the hospital, and the doctor ordered a C-section for me after a quick examination.
Zach didn't expect that and grabbed the doctor's arm. "Wait! She's just seven months in. She can't give birth now!"
The doctor shook his head. "The mother is in critical condition, and it's three deaths if we wait. It's regrettable that it's a premature birth, but we at pediatrics will do our best to save the twins."
"Then save my son first! My son!" Zach bellowed, clearly not caring that others were listening.
The doctor didn't have time to argue and replied, "We will do our best."
Soon after he vanished in the delivery room, Tina arrived. "What happened, Zach?"
Zach somehow didn't tell her that they were caught having an affair, and she therefore didn't notice the strange looks everyone gave her as soon as she arrived.
Mrs. Spencer leapt up right then, grabbing Tina by the hair and bellowing, "You skank! Tempting my son?! I'll kill you if anything bad happens to my grandson!"
Turning to my parents, she then said, "Don't worry. We will always owe Liv for this, and we won't let trash like her marry into our family!"
"Uh-huh," my parents grunted noncommittally.
Though they were furious too, they were more worried about me, their eyes glued to the doors of the delivery room.
"Zach! Help! Help!!!" Tina screamed as Mrs. Spencer continued to hit her.
However, Zach could only watch as he couldn't intervene with so many eyes watching.
Nonetheless, the doors opened again before long, and a nurse stepped out with a swaddle.
Everyone including Tina flocked around the nurse right then.
"Oh, my baby boy! Give him to me!" she blurted, seeing the fair, pudgy infant in the swaddle, forgetting her pain as she reached out.
However, Mrs. Spencer shoved her out of the way and snapped, "Get out! My daughter-in-law and my son don't want you here! Who do you think you are, reaching for my grandson like he's your son?!"
As for Mr. Spencer, he brushed past them and was reaching for the baby too. "Oh, give him to me! With those chubby cheeks, he's clearly going far in life!"
The nurse nodded. "The baby's very healthy, weighing six pounds despite being born premature. That's probably better than most full-term babies."
As my mom took the baby, she smiled at the baby for a while before asking, "What about my daughter and the other twin?"
The nurse's expression became solemn right then. "The other twin is very frail and weighs just two pounds. We're also currently trying to stabilize the mother."
