Unexpectedly,my mother-in-law was really that heartless.
Early the next morning,my husband received a call from the hospital,informing us that my mother-in-law had stopped all the payments and also removed my father-in-law's ventilator.
Looking at the dark circles under my husband's eyes, I felt a pang of heartache in my heart.
"Honey,how about I ask my parents if they can lend us some money?"
My husband interrupted me,"No need.I have a way."
"What way?Please don't do anything dangerous."A sense of unease welled up in my heart.
My husband looked at my anxious expression and actually smiled.
He stroked my head and gently comforted me,"Don't worry.I won't do anything illegal.Even if I don't have a mother anymore,I still have you guys!"
Hearing my husband say this,I felt a little more at ease.
Because I knew that he wouldn't lie to me.
However,I was still worried about him.
After he went out,I rummaged through the house,carefully calculating how much savings we had left in our small family.
