When I woke up from the void,it was pitch black.
Panicked,I waved my hand before my eyes—nothing.
"System!System!What's wrong with me?Where's Julian?Is he awake?"

I desperately needed to know if I had succeeded.
But the news crushed me.
"Host, you didn't complete the task in time.Therefor it failed. As punishment, you'll remain in this world forever."
I collapsed at this,despaired.
"No!I don't want to stay!I was supposed to die!Why didn't I?"
"Though your task failed, your efforts triggered the system's healing function. The side effect is three months of blindness for you."

I screamed, agony consuming me.I'd never been so broken before.
"I don't want this!I just want Julian to wake up!Why save me?"
The system said its priority was my survival.
My tears fell, splattering the cold marble floor.

Covering my face,I wailed.
Everything was ruined.I'd lost it all.
I had failed,Julian wouldn't wake up,while I was trapped here.
Later,I learned Ethan's tear wasn't a drop of moving on,but of endless regret.
It didn't matter.I failed, and Ethan meant nothing to me.
When Ethan heard I'd woken up,he rushed to the ward.
But he saw me slicing my wrist with a fruit knife.
Blood was dripping down from my arm to the floor.
The sight was like a bullet, shooting through him.
He grabbed the knife, lifting me onto the bed.
"Sarah,what are you doing?"
His voice was trembling.I smiled,my hollow gaze turning toward his voice.
"I want to die,Ethan.Didn't you want that? Why stop me?"
I didn’t want to live anymore.
Without Julian,I was alone in this malicious world.
Seeing my clear wish to die,Ethan clenched his fists, lips tight.
The room fell silent until he spoke again.
"You're not the real Sarah, are you?"
I froze.
He knew the truth.
I wasn't surprised—I'd left him the clues.
The original Sarah kept a diary,a habit I shared.
I stored her old notebook away, using a new one to record my days here.
After my death, both would reach Ethan.
"What do you want to know?"
My icy tone made him tense.
"Where...is the real Sarah?"
I laughed, grabbing his hand by sound.
"The Sarah who loved you died at 19,crushed by your rumors and bullying."
His disbelief gave me a twisted satisfaction, like a resonance from the deep of my soul.
