After Mark and Jack got the money,they started staying out all night.
I didn't know where they went to find women for entertainment.
This was just what I wanted.Anyway,just the sight of Jack made me want to vomit.
On the contrary,Lily started to get anxious and quarreled with Mark frequently.
Mark became more and more arrogant with the money.He would beat and kick Lily at the slightest provocation.
Jack pointed at Lily triumphantly and said,"See that?That's what will happen to you if you're not obedient."

I acted like a timid little bird,which made Jack feel a great sense of accomplishment.

Half a month later,Mark brought a young woman,Emily Johnson,home.
I heard that she was a widow in the village.She had been abducted here not long ago and her husband had died.
Mark thought she was quite pretty,so he bought her with money.
