I rushed to the scene, but it was already too late.
Emma was emaciated, her face and body skeletal.
All that remained was her swollen belly and vacant stare.

Using my celestial sight, I could see that the child was fully developed.
There is no way to destroy it in the womb now—it had gained human rights.
With a blood - curdling scream, the monster was born.
It didn't resemble a mule or any of the ten beasts whose embryos had gone into its creation. Instead, it was a grotesque mishmash of different life forms.
At its first moment,it nestled into Emma’s arms, whimpering,“Mommy,I’m scared!”
Emma,a bony shell, clutched it tightly, fearing it would be taken.

Her venomous gaze swept over us.“No one will harm my child—not one of you!”
The police and I were at a loss. Now that the child was born, there was nothing we could legally do to get rid of it.
It had the same rights as any human being and couldn't be touched until it committed a crime.
I stepped forward, soothing,“No one wants to hurt your child.Come with us.Your body can’t take more stress. If you collapse, who’ll take care of your child?”

My words seemed to work.Emma’s guard fropped.
She stared at me,then fainted.
I caught her, shocked by how frail she felt in my arms.
Her child, cradled in her arms, was rosy and plump.
I knew then—all her nutrients had been siphoned by this monster.
Emma was on death’s door.
How she’d survived, sacrificing everything for this child, was beyond my comprehension.
A cold sense of dread settled over me. I was more worried about the child than ever.
What was this thing that had reduced Emma to this state?
The mule clan swore with their lives that Victor—Emma’s child, named with grand hopes—wouldn’t harm anyone.
I warned them, I pleaded with them, but no one listened.
The mule clan genuinely believed Victor was their savior.
The police and I were tense, unsure what Victor would do.
But six months passed, and he seemed perfectly sweet, making skeptics, even me,question my stance.
Was genetics truly destiny?
Did all hyper-masculine chimeras always become criminals, threatening society?
I began to doubt the importance of genetics and considered urging beast clans to release their hyper-masculine embryos.
After all, they seemed harmless so far.
In fact, without my prompting, some clans were eager to try.
Just as they were about to move forward,Victor struck.
He raped and murdered a young girl, leaving her mutilated body cover with his fur.
Perhaps due to absorbing nine other embryos,Victor matured faster than others.
In just six months,he was fully grown, towering and muscular.
He looked nothing like Emma, his face was coarse and brutal.
The police called me to the station, and as soon as I arrived, I knew something was terribly wrong.
They glared at Victor, furious, but he sat calmly, smug.
I asked about the progress of the investigation.
To my surprise, despite his fur on the body, there was no other evidence.
