"Home." Her reply came too quickly. "Family emergency. I had to leave."
"Emily...You didn't slip up with the police,did you?"
Daniel's voice returned to its usual gentleness,and he disguised himself well.
"No.They couldn't find any evidence,so they had to let me go."
"Can I come to find you?"
"I've thought over what you said before."
"I admit I like you.It wasn't until you left that I realized how worried I was about you."
"Emily,give me a chance."
After a moment of hesitation,Emily agreed on the other end of the phone.
"I'll come get you. Where?"
"My home is in a rather remote place."
Having achieved his goal,Daniel hung up the phone.On Emily's side,the crime boss couldn't help but be suspicious.
"Did this guy really fall for it?"
"You certain he's not playing you?"
Emily smiled confidently.
"Don't worry.His hands are already stained with blood.The police won't believe a word he says."
"He'll be spurned by everyone and then come to me."
According to the plan,Daniel drove alone to the town outside the city.Emily was waiting for him at the gate of the factory early.She threw herself into his arms,hugged his waist,and looked up at him.
"Daniel...I knew you had feelings for me."
Daniel hugged her as he usually did,and his voice was as gentle as ever,but there was no emotion in his eyes at all.
"I'm sorry for realizing my feelings so late.It's my fault."
"You can punish me however you want this time."
After all,Emily was just a young girl.Facing the person she liked,she blushed,took Daniel's hand,and happily led him inside.
"Father's been dying to meet you."
"I'll take you to see him."
As soon as Daniel entered,he was stopped by someone.The security guard at the door looked fierce."Stop!Inspection!"
Daniel looked confused.Emily explained to him,"My family runs an oil-fuel factory.You understand, don't you? "
Daniel opened his suitcase.Besides clothes,the rest were materials for sculpting.Emily didn't suspect anything.After all,in her eyes,Daniel was a talented sculptor.
Daniel managed to sneak in.Until half a month later,he finally got a chance.While most of the people in the factory were out,he knocked Emily unconscious and took her away.
When Emily woke up,she found herself in an unfamiliar place.She was tied to a cross.Finally, she made out the figure standing before her.,and trembled with anger."Daniel Thompson,you've been lying to me all along!"
Daniel smiled slightly.
"You're awake."
He took out the plaster and applied it bit by bit to Emily's feet,then to her legs.Emily was scared,trembling and biting her lip.
"What do you want!"
"I'm telling you,what you're doing is illegal!"
"Daniel Thompson,you'd better come to your senses.Are you really going to ruin yourself for a woman?"
At the mention of me, Daniel's expression darkened. He lunged forward, wrapping his hands tightly around Emily's neck. "Wasn't this exactly what you were aiming for?"
"If that's the case, I've got nothing left to lose."
There was a hint of madness in Daniel's eyes.Hatred had clouded his judgment.
Suddenly,Emily let out a maniacal laugh..
