As she spoke,Emily reached out to unbutton Daniel's shirt,but he stopped her hand.His voice was gentle and coaxing.
"Emily,you're drunk.You need to rest."
Rejected,Emily shed tears.She looked at him reluctantly.
"I'm not drunk!"
"Daniel,you clearly like me.Why don't you admit it!"
"Is it because of Annie?"
"Didn't you say you hated her the most?Can't you let her go?"
At the mention of Annie's name, Daniel's expression hardened.
"She's not worthy of being compared to you."
