We were in a meeting anyways.
I also came to know that we had a team assistant and I had a right hand person who would distribute the work with me and she looked like a very courageous person despite the fact that she was an intern.
She really worked better than some of the people I saw yesterday.
I zoomed out of my thoughts when Josiah started talking and this man made sure that he was making eye contact with whoever was in this room as he talked.
He looked intense.
But something was missing.
I chuckled.
Never mind.
Checking the time on my wrist I noticed that two hours had gone by and we weren't even in the middle of the whole thing.
I had not started to distribute the files and I knew after distributing them we would have to go through each and every page.
Assimilate the process and the outcomes then re do it again until we get the results of what we wanted.
We would change the process then guess the outcomes according to talks.
Let me not even get started on the arguments that would break out.
The misunderstandings and then the time to give opinions and come to a conclusion that would include solutions and where we stand.
All that would take approximately the whole fucking day.
Lunch was brought in and we were given a short break for eating and I took that moment to finally stand.
Go to the lady's room then walk a little just to stretch my muscles.
When I finished eating my food I did just that and by the time I came back in after reapplying my lipstick and fixing my eyebrows and teeth I was met with the boss himself at the door talking to an employee.
The room was practically empty since there was still approximately ten minutes for the break to end and since I was the only one who knew whoever each file would go to I decided to come back early and distribute them according to the position tags that were left on the meeting table.
Whoever he was talking to left also which meant that it was now me and him inside the room and well did I enjoy the awkward silence.
"I haven't see you in so long" he said barely audible.
"Well isn't that great.
You look like you are doing fine" I said my back to him as I distributed the files.
I tried to really busy myself.
"Stop bending over with that slit behind.
It shows your red thong" he said clearing his throat.
Still got no filter for me I see.
I knew he was lying but the fact that he guessed that my underwear was red and he got it right agitated me and also amused me.
I chuckled then bent over even more as I kept the file on the other side.
"You cant command me Josiah.
We left that on the top floor.
I dont work there anymore remember" I said turning to look at him since I was done with the files.
"I'm still your boss" he said as if he was assuring himself that he was still above me.
That he still had a position in my life.
"You are right" I said turning back again and bent over on purpose then picked up a file was wa supposed to go to him.
"Would you like me to place this on the table or would you like to go through it right now?" I asked casually looking at him.
He stared at me back blankly.
I hurt his ego again.
He didnt answer
I chuckled.
"Well I'll place it on the table then" I said turning to walk where he would be seating.
He immediately got hold of my hand making me turn to look at him.
"Its not the file I want.
I had a copy of it since the meeting started. I went through it yesterday night since I couldn't sleep" he said looking at me.
Yup.
Something was missing and it was definetly his sleep.
Snatching my hand from his hold I looked at him then crossed my hands over my chest.
"Then what exactly do you want?" I asked looking at him.
I knew what he wanted.
I just wanted him to be man enought to accept and admit it.
"I want us.
I want you to belong to me like you used to.
Litsen Nayra I'm sure by know you know I like you a little bit too much I dont even know how you want me to prove it to you" he said looking at me.
I laughed outloud.
I know I was a bitch for laughing but he actually took me by surprise when he confessed.
"I never belonged to you to start with.
Second of all arent you the one who was disrespecting me probably a month ago and treating me like trash?" I asked looking at him.
His face paled.
Good.
"So tell me Josiah who and what changed your mind?" I asked looking at him.
He didnt answer.
"Are you scared that someone is going to be hitting it right because as far as I know the only thing that happened between me and you was fucking and more fucking" I angrily stated.
Thanks to these walls for being sound proof.
"So please save your lies and give both me and you peace" I said and I walked to place his file at the table.
People started entering and I blinked back the tears that threatened to fall.
Why did I just poke a fresh wound like that.
Holding my chin high I got ready to start litsening again after taking in a much needed breath.
I just wanted to go back home but well look at these files.
