The printers were shut off and everything was in place when my phone suddenly rang. I pulled it out and put it on speaker.
"Is they money ready?" he asked
"Yes." I hissed through gritted teeth
"Easy what you do Arivonese." Cardinal warned sounding quite amused with this "I've got the girl and I want hesitate to use her as I please if you make one bad move."
"Where is she Cardinal?" I asked as Geovanni put his hand on my shoulder to calm me
"Xavier." I heard her call my name
"Royalty." I felt a little relieved that she was alive
"Meet me at the old warehouse at the port." Cardinal was back on the line "You get your girl and I get the money. Don't pull any stupid pranks."
The phone cut off and I slammed my hand down on the table hard.
"Be careful." Rocco warned me "If he knows that you've contacted Damanico and I he'll kill her."
"I know." I looked up at Damanico sitting on a chair with his arms folded
"I can't believe they took her from right under my nose." he was pretty pissed of "When I get my hands on that uncle of mine I wouldn't hesitate to break his blasting neck!"
"Easy Nico." Neveah wrapped her arms around his neck from behind to calm him down "She'll be fine."
"As if you're handing over five million." he got up "Rocco let's end this."
"Damanico no." Chrissy stopped him "Royalty will get killed."
"And so would you." he shot fiercely "Don't you get it? The whole reason he's doing this is to get Xavier to fall at his feet because of his weakness, Royalty."
"I had a feeling that was the whole plan." Geovanni was busy connecting strings in a briefcase "I came prepared."
"Why-" I started suddenly seeing that I was rushing headlong into trouble
I slammed my hand down hard on the table again.
"That's it!" I had enough of being played "No more hiding from anyone. I love her and I want her back and I'll fight for her again. No one plays around with me and get away with it!"
"That's more like it." Jianan grinned "It's about time you came back to your senses. Since when does the prince of the mafia world bow before any commoner?"
"Not now and not ever." I pushed the briefcases off the table "Let's give this wannabe boss a taste of what a real mafia is like. Do what you must to take him down but I want the girl back and safe."
"I'll get my men to work under your bosses and we'll help." Damanico smiled "If you don't mind joining our mafias."
"Not at all." I held out my hand to him and he walked over to me
"Let's be the alias our families once were."
I nodded.
"Welcome back to the family Gionovese."
"I'm glad to be back Arivonese." we shook hands "Now let's find our girl."
"As you wish."
"Wait hold on." Neveah stopped us
"What?" Alex asked her
"What's the date?" she asked
"The 16th of August." Geovanni answered confused
"Shit." she got up and flew over my table and into my drawer and I suddenly guessed
"Time of month?" I turned around and asked her while she searched
"What do you think?" she asked in a 'duh' tone then she stopped dead "August 16th? Isn't that Royalty's birthday?"
"Shit it is." I realized "She's seventeen today."
"Holy crap." Damanico shook his head "Not the best birthday being kidnapped by a psycho. Let's go. Let's not make this day any worst for her."
In about twenty minutes men were surrounding the warehouse were Cardinal was. Men were stacking boxes of stuff into a truck. I wasn't going to take part in the shooting just yet. I felt my phone vibrate and pulled it out my back pocket as I leaned against the cold wall in the shadows. I had a clear view of the warehouse.
"Caio?" I answered
"We're ready when you are boss."
"Where's Damanico?"
"Here." he answered
"Are the others one too?"
"Yes sir." they answered
"Good. Shoot."
There erupted the sound of gunshots and men began to fall down like flies. Some came out and started shooting. I put my phone down on the ground next to me and picked up the sniper before ducking behind a large crate. I looked through the glass and aimed for one of the men about to run back inside. I fired and shoot him in the back of his neck and he fell down.
"Any sight of her?" I asked Geovanni who was closer to the warehouse door
"None." Geo answered "He's got her inside."
"Cover me then." I told him and got up from the shadows. I went over to the gate a realized it had a keypad.
"There's a keypad." I picked said through the phone "He's got the place under tight security."
"I'll have Rocco hack it." Damanico answered "Stay down for a while."
"I'll try the back while you work." I went off around the back.
It was big place and pretty old. I suddenly heard a mini explosion and knew that was Chrissy's doing. My mind went back to when Reign was taken by Luca and what happened. I shut off the memory and kept walking until I passed a window and heard Cardinal's voice.
"He's running through the back." I took off around the back "I'm onto him. Leave Chrissy and Damanico's men to handle the men at front and the rest of you block the back entrance."
"Roger." Geo said
I ended the call and put my phone into my pocket. I reached the back and the back door opened. Cardinal stood there with Royalty. She gasped when she saw me. Cardinal held a gun up to head while her hands were tied in ropes.
"I gave you a choice to bring the money and get the girl without war but you can't stand peace can you Arivonese?" he snarled
"I won't let the mafia fall to the standard of an asshole." I took out my hand gun and aimed for the middle of his head "I told Royalty I don't kill people and I don't unless they threaten me and you've got my girl. I want her back. Now!"
"Never." Cardinal's gun clicked.
"Fine then." I clicked the hammer on my gun ready to kill him if he did anything to her.
"Don't please." Royalty was crying "Stop it!"
