"I know." he nodded "If we break it then all the drama is over so let's get to it."
He stood up with the box and a thought flashed my mind.
"Wait!" I stopped him and he turned around "Let's break it in front of Cardinal. That way we'd end the drama. Once he knows the box is gone he'd stop."
Felix was quiet for a while then a wicked grin crossed him face.
That's not good.....
"What?" I looked at him as a smile formed on my lips
"Are you still into getting into trouble with the cops?" he asked
"What on earth are you thinking Felix?" I asked
"I've got files about the bond forgery we did in America." he started
"And?" I asked not knowing where this was going
"What if we turn the evidence to Cardinal, break the box and hand him to the state?" Felix asked "We're leaving end of month so I doubt we'll be on the radar."
I thought for a while.
"I'm in." I was up for a chase. "Let's get digging with those files. I should have some in the club. I'll have to go back to the others and get the whole mafia on board."
"First you have to weed out the traitors or the plans will to haywire." Felix suggested "We've got enough hot water in the pot. Who else is leaving the mafia?"
"Just Alex." I said "The rest of us are alright."
"Let's go." Felix but the box into my backpack and opened the door.
I got up and followed him out with his girls following us.
"Where are we going?" I asked as he handed me two hand guns
"To make trouble." he answered "Damanico might have Royalty and the only way for the two of you to talk is if you lure her out. Cardinal will also show up to get the box if you throw that into the mix."
"And we'll get Royalty, go back to the mafia and get Cardinal on our trail then blackmail him." I finished Felix's sentence.
"Yep." he turned and grinned "Never trust a mob boss and his assistant."
I found myself laughing at that one and then walking down the back stairs with him. His girls came into the SUV with us.
Royalty....I want to see you. Make things right with you again.
Felix handed me an untraceable cell phone and handed me a number belonging to Cardinal. I smirked then dialed the number.
Damanico's POV
I looked at the two girls grinning at me as I sat on Cardinal's desk with Rocco on the floor texting like mad.
"What are the two of you doing here?" I asked knowing pretty well how they got here.
Rocco looked up with an amused glance.
"We threatened one of the men to chop his balls off if he didn't take us to meet you." Neveah answered "You could have at least called me babe."
I looked at Royalty and she shrugged. She had accepted the relationship I had with Neveah. At first I was worried if she'd mind me dating her best friend. She gave Neveah a slight push in my direction.
"Sorry." I took hold of Neveah and pulled her between my legs "Forgive me baby?"
"Buy me a latté and I'll forgive you." she kissed my cheek
"Deal." I nodded "A latte and I'll throw in cupcakes because I love you."
She laughed and I leaned down and kissed her on the lips. Rocco coughed and interrupted the minute we started and Royalty laughed. I was about to answer when the phone suddenly rang. I looked at Rocco. He nodded and I picked up Cardinal's cell phone.
"Caio?" I answered
The voice on the other end shocked me.
"Hello Damanico." he said and I knew he was smiling
"Xavier?" I asked in shock and Neveah and Royalty froze
"Xavier?" she asked me "He's there?"
I nodded and put the phone on speaker.
"Is that really you Xavier?" Neveah asked
"The one and only twin." he answered
Neveah started to cry.
"Where are you?"
"I can't tell you but I'll say that I'm fine. Are the others with you?"
"No. Chrissy sent me away when trouble broke out with Jennifer."
"Why are you with Damanico?"
"I-I we're s-sort of....."
"Are you dating Damanico?"
She froze and so did I. Royalty mouthed for Neveah to tell him the truth.
"Yes." she answered him "I slept with him."
Xavier went quiet for a while.
"Does Chrissy know?"
"Don't tell him!" Neveah begged "He'll throw a fit."
"You have to sooner or later. Damanico?"
"Yes?"
"We need to talk."
"About what exactly?"
"Is Royalty with you? Did you take her from me? Is she alright?"
I could hear the pain and longing in his voice. I looked up at Royalty who had a few tears running down her face. I could also see she was in pain just hearing his voice.
"I'm right here Xavier." she choked out through her tears.
"Baby!" Xavier gasped "Are you alright?"
"Yes." she answered "I miss you."
"I miss you too baby."
"Tell me where you are. I want to come back to you. Please Xavier, tell me."
He was quiet for a while.
"Baby....there's something I've got to tell you."
"What's wrong?"
There was another silence.
"Royalty....I've been lying to you. I lied about almost everything. We need to talk. I need to tell you everything. I lied Royalty. I'm sorry but I had to lie. I had to protect you."
"What?" she asked in disbelief "Y-You lied?"
"Damanico?"
"Yes."
"Meet me at the club. Find a way to contact the others and meet me there. We're planning a way to hand Cardinal over to the state."
"He's already in my hands."
"What? You have him?"
"He's my uncle. Alex's too. Luca and your girl Sasha are here too. We captured him after he killed Jennifer."
"Fine. All of you meet me at the club at midnight. We've got some catching up to do. We're weeding out the traitors in the mafia and handing them over to the cops."
