Where is he?
The knocking continued, bringing her back to reality. "Come in," she called out.
Amanda walked in and greeted her with a happy smile. "Good morning, Luna. How's your sleep?"
She took a deep breath as she tried to remember it. "I just had.. a weird dream."
"A dream?"
"Yeah, I was sleeping on the clouds."
"You know, dreams are sometimes fate's secret way of telling us something."
Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Fate?"
"Yes, Luna. Do you believe in destiny?"
"I haven't really thought much about it," she answered as she leaned her head against the pillows. "But I do believe some things are meant to be."
"I believe that, too." She opened the black curtains from across the room and the morning sunlight came shining in. "Come, Luna. I already prepared your breakfast."
"Alright." Amanda didn't forget to bow down in front of her as she walked out of the room.
Anastasia started to put on the clothes Amanda prepared for her. This one was a blue dress that looked so simple. She looked at herself in the mirror and fixed her hair. As days passed by, she could see her body becoming more and more healthy.
Before, she remembered she used to be thin. But now she was starting to get a bit fat. Wasn't that a good thing? As soon as she was done preparing, she headed out of the room and towards the kitchen. The smell of ham reached her nose. Mouth watering, she saw Amanda cooking in the kitchen.
Amanda placed a tray with a lot of food and omelette on the counter and Anastasia happily dug in. She could hear Amanda chuckling in the background. The old woman seemed to be glad that she was enjoying her food. Even after she was done, Anastasia helped her out in cleaning the plates.
"You don't have to help me, Luna."
"No, I insist." Anastasia carried the washed plates on her hand. When she turned around, however, a large wolf entered the kitchen. The plates fell from her hands in an instant, meeting the floor with a loud crack.
"Jordan!" Amanda yelled. The wolf looked taken aback that Anastasia was in the room. Amanda quickly scolded the wolf and it whimpered. Hands on her hips, she commanded, "Get out. Now."
Anastasia's hands were on her chest, her breathing heavy, her heart beating fast. Once the wolf walked out of the kitchen, she let out a sigh, her hands falling on the sink behind her. "You didn't tell me you have a wolf living inside the mansion."
Amanda looked guilty. "I'm sorry if it scared you, Luna."
She waved her hands. "No, it's alright. I've seen one before."
With a smile, Amanda sang, "You might be surprised. You'll see a lot more wolves around here."
"A lot?" she repeat, horrified.
"Don't worry. You'll get used to it, Luna." Amanda walked towards the cabinet and started taking out ingredients. "The Alpha wants you to bake for dessert again."
Her breath hitched. "Really?"
She nodded. "Here are the ingredients. Would you like me to help you with anything?"
Anastasia shook her head. She didn't want to bother her. Besides, Amanda had something else to do. Baking cake was as easy as eating a piece of it. For her, at least.
"Alright. I'll be here when you need me."
"Thank you."
Once she left, Anastasia began moving around the kitchen. She prepared the ingredients on the counter and started mixing chocolate. Then she moved to put the cake in the oven and she could smell the good aroma.
Oh, how she missed baking at home. She even missed giving free cupcakes to children in her neighborhood. With a sigh, she turned around and jumped in shock as I saw Draco standing in front of her.
"D-Draco," she stuttered, backing up.
Why was he appearing out of nowhere?
He was really going to scare the shit out of her if he kept doing that.
Putting his hands on the counter on either side of her, he caged her in. He lowered his face and kissed my hair, taking in her scent. "Mmm.. I can smell chocolate all over you," he teased in a rough voice.
Seeing the craving look on his face, Anastasia moved away from him quickly. He looked ready to pounce, but then he saw the mixture of chocolate icing on the counter. Looking at her, he smirked evilly. Her eyes widened and she quickly took the fork on the kitchen counter. Pointing it at him threateningly, she warned him with a glare, "G-Get away from me."
Still smirking, he dipped his finger in the chocolate mixture and put it in his mouth. A hungry look came up on his face as he looked at her. Anastasia gripped her fork, waving it at him. "D-Don't you dare touch me."
When he took a step forward, she ran. He caught her before she could reach the door out of the kitchen. Strong arms wrapped around my waist, holding her tight, her back against his chest. "Baby doll," his rough voice murmured in her ear.
He turned her around and pressed her against the counter. There was nowhere else to look at but him. His dark eyes drowned her in. When his head slowly descended, she closed her eyes. But instead, she felt something wet on her cheek. When she opened her eyes, she could see him laughing, a mischievous look on his face.
She wiped her wet cheek with her hand and saw chocolate all over. Oh, no, he did not just do that. With a glare shooting daggers at his forehead. she gritted her teeth. While he was busy laughing, she quickly wiped her chocolate covered hand on his face. He stopped laughing.
Anastasia smirked, glad to know that he's going to get pissed. He narrowed his eyes at her and her smirk faded once I saw it. He had a "you better run" look in his eyes. She gulped down the lump in her throat. Once he began to take a step forward, she ran off without second thoughts.
She didn't even know where she was headed to.
Behind her, she heard his loud ferocious growl, "I'll catch you, baby doll!"
