What has she done to his boss?
What happened to the beast that almost killed him moments ago. What happened to the fierce monster that threatened his life?
"Sugar." Her soft voice rang and that was enough to pull Noah off his mighty seat as he rushed to go carry her in his arms. He has missed this little woman, the one that has his heart at the palm of her hands to do whatever she wanted with it.
Paul couldn't stand the sight of them so he quietly excused himself out of the office. He wouldn't want to see more than he was seeing. He has been at the hospital yesterday, he could see pure fear and anger in Noah's eyes when she threatened to divorce him.
He just felt like it isn't necessary punishing everyone around them everytime they fight, because both people have chosen to be so stubborn.
"What's going on Paul, who's the woman?" One of the girls who couldn't hide her curiosity asked him. She has been Noah's PA for years now and never has she seen a woman visit, especially a woman with a pink lunch box. Though they couldn't see her face because of how dramatic she had hidden it, they still wondered who that was.
"Boss's woman who else? Now mind your business and get back to work." Paul scolded and walked away.
"I prepared your favorite meal sugar, you must be starving." Anna started opening the box of food. She has imagined this time and time again but didn't have the time to do it. Serving Noah a meal in his office like her big baby is something she's always wanted to do.
Noah stared at his wife wondering if a miracle had happened. He had spent his day being angry and wondering when she would send the divorce papers for good since it had been him that messed things up this time. But she didn't. She rather arrived herself with food to feed him.
Did God really touch her heart? He shook his head.
"I'm sorry for reacting the way I did last night sugar. I should have understood you..."
"You reacted the way every normal person would react. I'm sorry for not keeping my promise and telling you about my plans. Everything happened so quickly that I had to act and think fast." He explained.
"How did you get to find aunt Grace, are they really alive?" Anna asked trying to get rid of the doubt once and for all. Noah's words felt like a dream, how then did the news online come about if her aunt and grandpa were alive?
There were images, she had seen the evidence from Kate, those dead people really looked like her aunt Grace and grandpa. She wanted to know everything about what had happened. How did Noah hide them, how are they still alive?
"You led me to them." Came Noah's response and Anna paused to stare at him. "How so?"
"That day you ghosted me with grandpa. I found them at the same mental asylum you went for your fake campaign." Anna's mouth was left hanging open at his words. Her aunt was there at the asylum and she had no idea?
She had been so close to her aunt Grace but she was too focused on discovering Nari's secret. What mental Asylum carries people loved ones and make them mad? Anna was pissed, but she was pissed more at her aunt Kate for even having such thoughts of sending her family there.
The hypocrisy of crying and mourning before everyone yesterday.
"I had to kidnap them from there when I found them." Noah continued. Grace was in a terrible condition, he threatened the asylum afterwards, that is why they had to come up with a look alike corpse to at least decieve Kate.
"I can't believe it. How can that woman be so heartless?"
"I thought she was your Aunt?"
"Over my dead body."
"Well, for starters, she wants the money and all of your inheritance. But she went after the wrong people because she feels they would stop her from inheriting what belongs to you." Noah said the obvious. Kate is like a spoilt kid, they do anything to get money on their hands, that is why his first punishment for her had been the no money thing.
"Don't rush or do anything rash my sweet girl, let them celebrate their little victory, at least until your grandfather and aunt recovers." He has been getting update from the hospital and so far, both people have been responsive to treatment. Though, the whole process was slow, he hope to give them the best treatment.
"How are they doing?"
"Better. The antipsychotics given to them affected them a lot, your aunt's aim was to make them mad. Especially Grace, she might never fully recover from it, but she's getting better." Anna nodded. She couldn't believe it.
She felt so stupid for being mad at Noah yesterday, he did good to hide such truth from her because she would never be able to pretend before those people. Nari has ruined her family, this is what she wanted all along.
Anna suddenly picked up her cell phone, if Nari wants to play with her family, it was time she played with hers. "Lola, release the first photos of Nari's real family members to the press, I want the world to question her a little." Noah smiled. He just love when his soft wife gets to fierce.
"So that's what you did that day my little demon queen."
"I'll deal with them both sugar, they'll pay for what they did to aunt Grace and Grandpa." She finally opened the bowl of the sumptuousness she had crafted for her hubby. Anna was about to seat next to him when Noah pulled her to seat on his legs. She blushed. He always finds the smallest chance to be naughty every time.
"I told you not to cook anymore."
"It was only for a little while, plus I didn't hurt myself." She smiled.
Anna picked the fork and dug into the plate, "Ahh." She demonstrated for him to open up his mouth, but rather than that, her naughty huaband pulled her in for a kiss. Their kiss was brief as Anna was the first to pull out, out for shock, "That's not what I meant." The pink woman complained.
"What did you mean? Your lips looked inviting." He ran his thumb on her lips gloss as he licked it.
"No, I meant to open your mouth, not kiss me."
"But your lips taste better than the food." She blushed even more. This husband of hers, her heart couldn't take his words.
"You can't eat my lips Noah."
"Watch me do it my sweet girl." Noah didn't wait for her to realize what he was about to do before claiming her lips with his. He has missed being this close to his precious because of so much work to do. Noah was happy she didn't go through with the divorce, it's not like he would let her but he was glad.
He deepened the kiss, placing the food on the table first as he tastes her lips again when the door suddenly opened.
"So you two lied to the family again?"
