Chapter 416 MACK YONG'S RETURN 1

1017words
Before noon, the news about Anna being hurt and the videos online were all gone like it never happened. Anna has once again cleared the issue caused by her adopted cousin by appearing before her fans and everyone to prove she was okay and whatever they had seen had just been a blackmailer. Now Evelyn had exposed one of her biggest secret, she knew she had to be extra careful about everything she does.

Back at the comfort of her home, Anna laid beside the man on the couch with her. She was meant to do her photoshoot today, but due to the matter that arose earlier, it had been canceled. For the rest of the day, Anna had nothing else to do except play around with her hubby who has decided not to leave the mansion himself.

Noah wanted to spend the day with his family since he had nothing much to do. The week had been one big trouble, but it isn't something he couldn't handle as always.

"Mother mentioned the babies to aunt Kate this morning when she spoke." Anna brought up the conversation as she felt the need to.

"I know." Came his reply. Evelyn had told him herself and apologized about it. He already knew it was only a matter of time before the news about his babies were out. Besides, if Anna's family wasn't so weird, hiding news about his children was absurd. It is something to be celebrated. He just wouldn't let anyone try to harm his wife and children again.

Anna felt a sense of relief when Evelyn had showed up. It was like a mother hen protecting her chicks from evil, that how she felt. No one has ever stood up for her that way except Grace, but now her aunt Grace was no longer available, Evelyn have managed to feel that void in her heart.

It's amusing she felt more protected by an outsider than her own family member. But she's used to it by now, Kate hates her and nothing will ever make her change her mind about her. The only thing Anna wished for, was to know why her aunt hates her and her mother so much.

"Your work seems pretty productive this week." Noah chimed pulling her closer as he wrapped his arms around her. Anna smiled at his action, her hubby just didn't know how to keep his hands to himself.

"It has been the best week so far." Anna confessed. Everything she wanted has fallen right into place like she wanted. She has finally been able to shut Nari and her aunt up. She had seen their shocked faces when Evelyn revealed she was finally having a child.

"Sugar, there's one little favour I would love from you." Anna said not she recalled her last plan for the week.

"What is it?" Noah asked.

"I want you to let Mack go now." There was no point keeping the fool when he's useless to her anyway. If his return would make Nari a little busy while she carries out her plan, what's the point of not releasing him?

"Done." Noah said casually as he sent a text to Paul.

Both people spent the rest of the day together, talking about the future and what plans they had for the coming children.

During the early hours of the afternoon, while Nari and Kate sat outside watching the gardener they had hired water and shape the plants, a black van suddenly arrived at the center of their small yard. Both ladies have gotten accustomed to the yard by now and we're ready to make good use our of it.

"What's that?" Nari asked staring at the car. They didn't recall ordering anything today. They didn't even have the money to buy anything yet so what was that?

"I wish I knew." Both Kate and Nari watched the car with keen eyes at how brisk the car moved and dropped someone or something off before leaving. They didn't get the chance to see or know who they were or what they were that had driven in.

When they looked closely, they could both see a lean figure in an all black attire lying almost lifelessly at the center of the yard.

The Gardner who had been gardening till this moment paused to know whatvwas happening. The same could be said about both women who almost bolted but composed themselves when they saw the dark figure.

Nari picked a stick by the side as she moved close to whatever it was. Was the Declan's playing tricks on them again. She thought they had settled whatever it was they had?

If this is their way of punishing her for whatever she did, then it was stupid. Kate who was walking behind her daughter picked another stick as they approached the lean figure on the floor too.

"What is that?" She whispered.

"I think, it's a human." Nari said moving cautiously as she approached whatever it was. She hoped it would be a lifeless mannequin or something that isn't serious, but all hopes failed when the figure moved which had both women running for their lives.

"IT'S A MONSTER!!" Nari shrieked as she ran away.

Mack who had just been dropped on the floor almost ran too when he saw both woman run. His face and body was covered in dirt and beared. He looked different. So lean and different. Haven't not seen a single soul in months now, he almost cried when he saw them.

"No, don't run, it's me, don't you remember me? It's me Mack, your husband." He lifted his hands in surrender as she stared at both women. Nari paused on hearing his voice, she couldn't believe it.

Mack?

Mack was back?

Anna had released him like she promised? Anna has let Mack go without demanding for anything in return?

She moved a step closer, making sure she maintained a safe distance between them as she stared at the dirty looking malnourished man.

It really is Mack, Anna has really let him go...
