She bit her lips, beads of sweat already forming on her head. She has made Evelyn like her a little, she couldn't afford to look bad before them. And just then she realized something that changed everything for her, she hadn't been alone. A maid had agreed to take her to the CCTV room last night, plus she made sure not to look at the cameras.
Nari turned confident that no one would see her. Even if they do, they'll never know she's the one. Messing with the Declan's a little was fun. They think they're secured, but they aren't. It was so easy to alter everything that happened last night. She had been so smart about it.
"Who is it, whoever it was needs to pay for this." Nari spoke so confidently. "I don't know why anyone would be so heartless to do this to my sister. Anna has been through so much already." Nari placed her hands on her chest.
Kate who was seated beside her daughter frowned at her confidence. She had no idea Nari was responsible, but judging by her attitude and sudden interest, she knew Nari had done it. Her silly daughter. It was one thing to be evil, but another thing to get caught and face the embarrassment that followed.
They've been through so much embarrassment this week, one more and Kate can't tell if she can make it anymore. She thought Nari was the smart one not to embarrass them, but it turns out she's as foolish as she looks. How could she make such drastic decisions without involving her?
She wanted to scold the girl so badly, but she couldn't before these people.
This is not the time to fight Anna, at least not before the Declan's. The bond they all share with Anna was so great it would take the whole nation to rise up against them before they could turn on her neice. One thing Kate has noticed about the Declan's is their family value. It's already enough that they were dining with their enemies.
"It's about time." Vincent said staring at the girl that had blabbed earlier. Judging from how eager she was now, he could already tell something was up. She's the same girl that had locked her family in that mental asylum. Even he could not believe a girl who looked as innocent as Nari, can be that heartless.
He had met the most heartless people in the world, but Anna's family are out of this world. Everyday, he wonders how much a wonderful daughter In law comes from that family.
"Who is it?" Evelyn asked turning impatient. She really wanted to know who had the boldness to go against them. In all her years in this mansion, no one has dated betrayed them like this morning. She wanted to see whoever it is that is a threat to her family. They would be dealt with accordingly.
Kate adjusted her butt on her seat, readying her mind for the outcome. Thanks to Nari, their reputation will be ruined before the Declan's once again. If the Declan's finds out it is really Nari who is responsible, she couldn't imagine what they would do.
The camera man played the video before the big screen. It started with the dark image of a two girls moving through the halls. One in a maid uniform and the other in what seemed like a dress, their steps were quite and eager. Nari had not stayed for three hours and she was still able to play with the mind of the maids around. She had been so smart about it, and even promised to deal with the vulnerable girl if she spilled anything.
There was nothing in the video, just two harmless girls walking by and then the video of the security men being wasted on the floor after their drink. The drink was a good idea on her part. She has done this before, doing it again meant nothing to her.
No one has an idea who it was and why the camera was suddenly so blurry at that point in time.
"That's it?" Vincent asked staring at the footage.
"This does nothing. Just two girls walking down the hall?" Lionel stared at the screen again. He had been so happy and proud they would find the culprit, now they're the ones looking like fools. Whoever did it had been so smart.
"And when did the Cameras get so bad? You were both supposed to stay at your station all night protecting us." Lionel yelled at them. He couldn't believe he has made his people these careless about their safety. They pay these people to protect them, yet they couldn't even do anything about it.
Nari smiled stylishly as she stared at the man taking all of the heat. If they cannot find out who it was that has done it, it means her blackmail on Anna and the Declan's have only just began. She smiled.
"We're so sorry sir. Miss Beth gave us free time last night to party. She had even ordered gifts for us."
"I can't believe this is happening miss Evelyn. I don't feel safe in here anymore. Why would the workers and staff try to turn against you?" Nari said politely.
"This is bad. And to think I had spent the night here. This is why we must never mingle with your workers. You have given these peasants freedom long enough, it's time they're all punished." Kate added her two scents to whatever it was. She was just happy Nari was so smart to outsmart everyone. Maybe her daughter isn't as foolish as Anna after all.
Both kate and Nari exchanged looks...
"Now Anna has to pay for whatever it is the blackmailer wants. I know these games so well, they'll never stop until they run you dry." Nari kept speaking.
Almost immediately, a group of guards walked into the dining room where the family were having breakfast. They walked to where Nari was and dragged her out of the dining room...
