She hadn't forgotten they are the reason for her brothers death. If only he had listened to her back then too. The same way his stupid daughter is stubborn to her now.
"You have a beautiful daughter yourself." Evelyn turned to Nari who smiled bashfully. This was her time to shine, unlike last night when the attention has been on Anna. Nari, dressed in an elegant looking blue dress from the numerous dresses given to her this morning, she had prepared herself to wow Noah.
After experiencing the luxurious life of the Declan's once more, she wanted Anna's position. Right now, everything was working in her favour. Her half sister cannot even have a child for the Declan's. It won't be very long before they get tired of Anna and start looking for a solution for Noah. She would make sure she's that solution.
"Thank you miss Evelyn. You're also very beautiful yourself." Evelyn smiled. "It's quite unfortunate I have nothing to give you after welcoming I and my family into your humble home." Nari said like the good daughter she is.
"Oh it's nothing. There will always be a next time. We're family remember and you're always welcome here." Evelyn smiled at the polite girl. If she hadn't heard or seen things about this girl, she would have never believed her to be so heartless to do those vile things to Anna. Her Anna doesn't have to pretend to be a good girl unlike most people.
Lionel's assistant whispered something in his ears again and he frowned.
"I haven't seen my niece around." Kate looked around the room as if she cared Anna was here. Anna is the last person she wanted to see this morning, but she needed to pretend like she cares. It wouldn't cost much to just act.
"She went out with Noah this morning over the news circulating around." Evelyn said chewing her bread.
"News?" Nari feigned ignorance as always.
"It turns out someone in this mansion had betrayed us by posting the CCTV footage of the event of last night."
"Who would do such a thing?" Kate asked surprised herself. She had thought everything was boring since no one except them knew about it and now this? She turned to Nari, who scratched the back of her head and that was all Kate needed to know it was her doing. She clicked her tongue.
Their family didn't need another nagative press at the moment. It is times like this they needed to stay low-key yet her stupid daughter just cannot hold herself.
"That is all we're trying to find out. Whoever did it had done it when the lights were off." Evelyn said.
"I've asked Dave for the footage of after the party, it wouldn't be long before we find the culprit." Lionel said. They were only waiting for the man in charge to arrive. Whoever was trying to blackmail them will pay dearly for it.
Nari could feel sweat forming on her forehead at his words. She could be exposed. How did she not think about clearing the footage of herself walking into the CCTV room. She has been too excited that she had forgotten that important part of the night.
No one has to know she's the one involved. It would be so embarrassing for her.
"Whoever has done that needs to be punished dearly for it. Anna had just gone through a ruthless assault last night and now this? Who's really after my sister." Vincent stared at the girl before him with narrowed eyes.
"You're right, justice must be served. Whoever it is will be dealt with immediately. They could even be arrested." He added.
"We're so sorry for the inconveniences elder Vincent. We know troubles like this are not what your family wants at the moment. But I and my family have brought nothing but that since we got involved with you all." Nari said.
What Nari meant was, the Declan's are known to be private people, if she can prove Anna is the cause of their calamity and recent problems, then they can kick her out quickly. After All, she's useless anyways.
"We're fine by it. As long as it's not affecting the family." Vincent said.
"But last night Mr Vincent, your daughter almost lost her life to the exposure my family cost to you all."
"We know of Hannah before you became a part of the family. Hannah acting that way is our carelessness. It isn't because of Anna or your family, and we're truly sorry for the damage we would have cost to Anna." Evelyn said.
"Please eat your food, enough with blaming yourselves for everything." Evelyn smiled. She could see through the games and was already tired of playing along.
At the same time, Noah and Anna walked into Eclipse together. It would be the first time in months both people have visited together again. They have both seen the news and videos circulating online about Anna again and again. Anna's fans were already making a fuzz out of the whole situation. Everyone was worried at the same time scared for her again.
Because of her fans traffic at the entrance of Eclipse, they had to use the back door. Anna knew she still needed to address the news quickly. She was fine and wasn't dying at all.
Just last week her family was involved in a huge scandal that almost tarnished her reputation. They were yet to clear their names from the embarrassment and here comes another scandal. According to the report Lola had given her, the video looked like a CCTV footage, which means only someone within the mansion could do that.
In all of the years the Declan's have had CCTV footage, no one has been able to leak a footage from the mansion. But last night, someone did. Someone had betrayed them.
Anna didn't want all of these attention now. Especially after last night. She wanted a day off, but that's something even she knows she'll never have. What she didn't understand was why someone in their mansion would betray them this way.
"We have seen the culprit behind the CCTV footage leak." One of the camera men rushed into the dining room immediately and Nari froze.
