Meredith and faith had just stepped out of the asylum and where both heading back home when they noticed the fleet of cars stop at the place they usually have their roasted street potatoes and fried fish. Rich people never visit the slums like this place so she wondered who it was.
Both ladies watches two people step out of the car. A man in a black suit and a woman in a black coat. She was wearing a hat and glasses and since it was night, people could barely make out who it was.
"Oh, these rich people and their shameless lives." Faith said in disgust as she stared at them.
"So you know them?" Meredith asked staring at them. She has been grateful at another chance of life after the whole issue with Grace the previous day.
"Might be one of all these whoring celebrities that go after rich men. Don't you know they Don't visit refined places for fear of being caught by the media." Faith explained like an expert. She would never rate these people, to her, all of these female stars are opportunist and advanced harlots. There is no difference between them and the street sluts. The only difference is that they wear expensive makeups and they look beautiful.
Meredith smiled at her friends words. She knew faith always saw the bed in everything, but she Meredith still believe there is good in this world. She saw these female stars as hee role models and wanted to be like them. Working for the mental asylum is something she didn't want bu choice, she worked here because she has no choice.
"Let's just get the potatoes and leave faith. It's not always good to point accusing fingers on people especially when you don't know what they've been through." Meredith said. She knows someday she might be a celebrity too, she couldn't imagine people like faith attributing her success to a man. It was the fair on these women.
Though most of them were real harlot, is wasn't right to point accusing fingers on people.
"Nonsense Meredith. This is why I say you're still a child. Anna Sui just won a case laat month because of cases like that. That old man took advantage of her but he met the wrong person." Faith said. "Do you know they say if Anna wasn't from a privilege family she would have fallen like the rest too?" Meredith turned to faith.
"Even after coming from such reputable family, I heard she's dating a business tycoon. You see Meredith, you don't go around trusting these women, they're not who you think they are." Speaking of Anna Sui made Meredith recall Grace's statement and it made her wonder if the woman was really related to the Sui's.
Faith has said she was mad. Plus Anna is a public figure, she would have made an announcement of there ever was anything of such. Meredith wondered if the woman named Grace was lying. There's no way she's related to Anna Sui.
"It's not everyday we get to see a celebrity visit a place like this, let's get a glimpse of them before they leave." Meredith suggested as she rushed forward to see who it was that has arrived. But before she could get close, she was stopped by a security guard. The man and woman looked refined and Wealthy, they weren't just looking like anyone.
She watched the man just sit and watch the woman eat so gracefully. A life like this is what she has always imagined from afar, but Shea never this close to being so perfect.
"Eat slowly so that you don't mess yourself up again." Noah said to his wife who has so much potatoes stuffed in her mouth. The street potatoes were just too good for Anna. Ever since Crownsville, she hasn't stopped eating some street food when she goes out.
Now she's found a good place, she would have to come here very often to eat too.
"Ehh, madam, sir is that okay? If you want we could get you more, we have freshly cooked beef, it goes so well with our potatoes." The owner of the small shop said. It would be the first time he was receiving such distinguished guest in his small restaurant and he didn't want to lose them. Customers like this are rare to come.
"You don't have to worry." Noah cut him off. He wasn't one that ate in places like this, it's unfortunate that cousin of his had initiated his wife in with his simple and classless lifestyle.
"Are you sure Noah, you haven't had anything to eat." Anna said stuffing more potatoes in her small mouth.
"I'm fine." Noah waved her words. By now a few people have gathered around the place to know the celebrity that had arrived and Noah' s security were doing the best job controlling the crowd. At least until his wife was done eating.
"Mr Barnes, your restaurant looks so different today." Meredith came with her usual greetings. She wasn't new to this place so since the guards didn't let her take the front door both she and Faith had used the back door into the place. They had let them in as old customers and also helping hands of Barnes and his wife.
"Meredith tonight's not the night. We have special guest in the restaurant. No one's allowed to step in." Barnes responded as he arranged the food in his hands. Noah has ordered the immediate close down of the restaurant for the hours he'll be here and Barnes did just that.
"It wasn't easy stepping in Barnes. At least give us something to eat." Faith said staring at the mouthwatering dishes.
"Do you happen to know the couple in the restaurant tonight?" Meredith asked out of curiosity as she stared at the fine slender looking woman in a black hat, talking to a fine looking man.
"That is not our concern. We're only here to serve them, not know who they are." Barnes responded
"I think they're public figure, that's why they came here in the first place." Mary, Barne's wife said to the you girl. They have no idea who the public figure was, but they could see her taking pictures with the man beside her.
If only Anna knew that just across the streets was her aunt and Grandfather. The very same people she's been looking for for so long.
"Hubby.' Anna called . "How can we afford so much tonight? I think my sugat is acting suspiciously rich again." She smiled.
