"Take them out of there and keep them with the other patients. Until we hear a word from Kate, we will not be touching them." He ordered while he removed his gloves and the nurses went ahead to do what they were asked to do. No one argued.
It's been a few days since after the news of the Sui's going bankrupt circulated around the city, yet no one has called the hospital. Not even Kate or her daughter. They have ghosted everyone like they usually do. That's one thing with this wealthy people, they drop their family in here and leave just like that.
He was fed up with having the same problem over and over again. They have called Kate multiple times and even sent her threat messages, but the woman has stubbornly refused to respond to anyone.
"Throwing them into the ward filled with real mad people, don't you think it's a little harsh?" A nurse asked another with concern. Grace and the general are not mad people, they're just two unfortunate souls that happen to have the worst family member that doesn't have their best interest at heart.
"It would, but there's nothing we can do. The hospital is not providing enough money to fend for anyone here. It's the only free place available, maybe till someone decides to do something about them." Another nurse explained, but the later didn't agree either. She was worried about what would happen to both people. The drugs administered to them may have been harmful, but that doesn't mean they are mad.
"Don't you think it's best they get thrown into the streets?" She suggested.
"And then what? Jeopardize our hospital. Do you ever consider what people would think about us?" The first nurse asked.
"And do you know what would happen when they find all of these people in here? You said we are losing money and have no more space for patients. Why don't we let them go?" The nurse asked.
"And release those mad people into the streets? You should think before you speak Lynda. These people are not normal no matter how much we think they are." The nurse scolded the younger one. "I don't want to talk about these anymore, we have no right to speak about these matters before someone else hears us."
While both women walked out of the hall, a familiar figure walked into the room where both people were being held captive. Meredith has worked in this place for years now, yet have never been more intrigued about the patients here as she was with Grace and the General.
Though she has been warned countless times to stay away from the patients as the cleaners have nothing to do with them. Meredith was letting her curiosity get the better of her.
Now standing before the door to the forbidden ward, she looked around and stumbled in. She was greeted by beeping sounds from the machines and the woman who claimed to be a close relative of Anna Sui, seating next to an old man.
She stared at the now quiet Grace. She has been quiet like this for a few days now. No one has heard the agonizing screams or cries from Grace as always. At some point Meredith felt like it was too quiet but then she realized they must have stopped Grace's treatment that's why she has been quiet.
"Good morning Grace." Meredith greeted enthusiastically as she placed her cleaning agent by the door. She hasn't been able to speak to the woman since the first day she had met her. If that maid hadn't been quick to arrive, she was sure she would have spoken with Grace so well and find out a lot about her.
Grace on the other hand just stared at her father without any response to the girl who just greeted her. She didn't want to say a word so that they don't give her the punishment they usually give her or her father when she makes a sound.
These people beat her father mercilessly for every mistake she makes, that's why she was being very careful.
The nurses in here have been very mean to her and she was now scared of them. Having stayed here for a week and a few days, she had learned that the hard way. Her cries and pleas are all futile in this place. All she knows is that Kate must have paid a huge amount of money to lock her in here.
She wished anyone would listen to her, but even she knew it was impossible. One week here felt like an enternity has passed. She wanted to go back home, this time she promise to be good. She promise to obey everything her sister says. She would never challenge or mock her words anymore.
"You seem a lot better today than the other days." Grace still did not respond to the girl. She couldn't even look at her face or the faces of anyone. She was scared of getting beat up again. She was not mad, she's normal, but the nurses will never listen to her no matter how hard she tried to explain.
"Grace Sui, is it?" Meredith asked walking cautiously next to the woman. She was being very careful herself because she didn't want to get hurt or caught trying to help anyone. This people, they might lock her up in here or she'd be forced to lose her job.
"I'm not mad, please don't hurt me." Grace muttered as she shook nervously. She was scared of everything and everyone.
"You said you were Anna Sui's aunt. I might know where she is..."
"Anna." Grace's eyes snapped open.
"Anna." She turned to look at Meredith.
"Where's my Anna?" She rose from where she sat. The white garment she was in was now drenched with particles of blood. It was the effect of the beating and mass labour given to her everyday.
"You're not Anna, I want my Anna back to me. Bring my neice to me." Grace cried moving around the room.
"Is she okay? She'll never let any of you bad people go free when she finds me."
