She hasn't done anything wrong, so what's going on?
"Why, what happened?" Anna asked Lola.
"I think your account has been frozen miss Anna, as well as your family and the Declan's." Lola said exactly what Noah had asked her to say. It's almost like she was reading a script.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Anna checked the time and she had like three minutes left to support her family. She was confused. How can Noah's money as well as his families money disappear completely?
What was happening?
Damien and his family were really after them.
They know her family will always lean on the Declan's so they had to lock all of their accounts so that they could deal with her family. She didn't know what to do or who to meet. Noah will never lend her aunt any help, he hated her. He would never let her help them.
As if he knew what was happening, she watched her hubby walk into the room almost immediately. The sweet smile on his face made her wonder if he knew he was broke and had nothing to his name anymore. Anna could already feel her head spin at the thought of it.
They just cannot be broke, not like this, not in this way.
"Is everything okay?" Noah pretended like he didn't notice the slight change in her appearance. This would be a good test on their marriage too. He knows his women loves him for being rich, even if no woman loves a broke man, he also wanted to know if she would love him for being broke too.
It's not like whatever decision she makes would change anything. That's the reason he would never be poor, his sweet wife doesn't deserve that life. She deserves all the money in the world.
Before Anna could respond to him, she felt him grab her waist and pulled her close. "You look so beautiful tonight. My mother will be more than pleased to see you." Noah said and Anna just played a long with it. To her, she felt like he had no idea about what was happening, and she hated to be the bad news bringer. She would do anything to avoid spoiling this fine evening, maybe they could settle everything else by tomorrow.
Without warning her hubby sized her lips but only for a little moment. In his defence, he didn't want to ruin her make up. But at the same time, his distracted wife recieved another text from her Aunt.
"You're evil and heartless Anna. I cannot believe you would do this to us when we need you the most. You have showed who you truly are today, and I will never forgive you. I hope you can sleep with yourself knowing you're the cause if anything happens to me." Anna could feel her head spin already.
She didn't know how to pretend to be happy before Noah, while she reads the text from her Aunt. All of these was draining all of her strength. She couldn't respond to her aunt right now or apologize for not being able to help. It's not like she had put her in the mess. Her greed and hate for her is the reason she's in this mess. Trying to put the blame on her as always was just so absurd.
"Are you alright, did I miss you too much?" Noah asked and his little wife shook her head. He could see how hard she was trying to hide everything from him, when he infact knew what was going on. This is the favour he had asked from king Raven.
To punish the Sui's, while also pretend like he was punishing the Declan's too. If all finds are cut from the Sui's, Kate will have no power to do the things she does anymore and it would be easy to find Grace and the general.
He had thought about it through and through and he knew he couldn't do anything if his wife was still able to help her family. Anna never listens, she might try to act all tough and strong,but she's the softest woman he knows. She gets strong when she needs to be, but is so foolish when it comes to her family.
She follow them blindly. A woman who is ready to let her inheritance go for the sake of peace, should not be trusted. He could never trust her family with Anna. He could only imagine what her life would have been like if he hadn't met her.
'Jist hold on a little my sweet girl, it's only for a while', Noah thought inwardly.
"I... I'm fine. I just don't know why my aunt suddenly wants to meet me." Anna lied.
"You can meet her tomorrow. Let's go or we'll be late for dinner." Noah said and carried her in his arms. She was too precious to him to even use her feet. He values everything about her. Left for him, Anna will never use those perfect legs unless while walking on the runway, but his silly wife was just too shy.
Just like right now, she had her face buried in his chest. She didn't mind if she would ruin her make up. No matter how many times he's showed his affection for her in public, his silly wife will never get used to it. She turns so shy and embarrassed easily.
Noah placed her in his car and only then did she raise her face to look at him. She watched him step in too with a smile on her lips. His little action has made her forget her aunt and cousin for a few moments till her phone beeped.
"Why aren't you answering anymore Anna. You're having fun with your husband while we die. I hope you die Anna. I hope you do."
