Chapter 338 MENTAL ASYLUM 1

1017words
Back At The Sui's Mansion,

Grace's sobs filled the dimly lit hallway, her frail body trembling as the men dragged her toward the waiting car. The blood from yesterday's assault still clung to her skin, a gruesome reminder of how far things had spiraled. Her face, once so full of life, was now a mask of despair and terror, the realization of her fate sinking in with every step.

Kate watched from the doorway, her eyes cold and devoid of emotion. Next to her, Nari stood, a smirk playing on her lips as they both reveled in the helplessness of Grace and the general, who sat slumped and defeated. He had barely spoken since the last round of beatings, his mind clouded with the aftereffects of Nari's cruelty. His once proud stature was now reduced to nothing, a mere shadow of the powerful man he had once been.

Kate's voice cut through the room, sharp and unforgiving. "Did you chain her properly?" she asked the man who was now struggling to keep a grip on Grace as she weakly resisted, tears streaming down her face.

The man gave a curt nod, not meeting her gaze as he grunted in response. Grace's hands were bound tightly, her wrists red and raw from the iron cuffs. She had stopped trying to fight long ago, her spirit broken.

Kate and Nari had been busy orchestrating this moment for days, planning every detail with cold precision. They had bundled up both Grace and the general, ensuring their fates were sealed before anyone could interfere. They knew Noah was onto them. He had been getting closer, especially after Anna had mentioned not being able to reach her aunt for days. Noah, always several steps ahead, had anticipated this move, but even he didn't know just how far they were willing to go.

Grace's mind was a whirlwind of regret and realization. She had heard Noah's warnings, but she had been too blind, too trusting of her own family to see the danger. And now it was too late. The fear gripped her throat as her voice, weak and raspy, barely made a sound. She wanted to call out for her father, to plead with him to save her. But the general, he's too useless to help her. He can barely even save himself.

Kate stepped forward, her heels clicking ominously on the marble floor as she approached Grace. She motioned for the men to stop just before they shoved Grace into the back seat. "Wait," she said, her voice laced with cruelty. "Let's not rush this. I want her to hear everything."

Grace's heart pounded in her chest as Kate crouched down to her level, her face inches from Grace's, her eyes dark with malice.

"You've always been our naive, little Grace," Kate whispered, her words like poison. "If only you stayed that way, things would never be the way they are now." Kate added. She had wanted to deal with Grace so badly but she didn't know how to. Now is her chance.

"I'm going to tell you a few secret because I know you won't be coming back and even if you do, I would just accuse you of a mad woman and no one would believe you." Kate laughed as her sister cried.

"Why are you doing this Kate. We're sisters. I'm your younger sister." Grace cried but her tears only fueled Kate and Nari's laughter.

Kate grinned, loving every second of Grace's agony. "Your father—" Kate gestured to the general, whose body slumped in the corner like a discarded rag doll. "I did that to him." Her words were like whispers, each whisper making Grace's eyes go wide.

This is exactly what Noah had told her. He had told her Kate is the reason behind her father's condition but Grace didn't believe him.

Grace shook her head, the tears falling harder now as the full weight of Kate's words hit her. What angered her more is the fact that Kate tried to blame Anna for everything.

Kate leaned closer, her voice dripping with venom. "You should have listened to Noah. You should have seen what I am capable of. But now, it's too late. You're being sent away to rot, and no one will save you this time."

Grace's body shook with silent sobs, her last bit of hope extinguished. She had believed in Kate once, trusted her as family, but now she saw Kate for what she truly was—a monster.

"You can take good care of father when you meet your fellow mad people." Kate rose to stand normal as she walked away.

The men holding Grace pulled her into the car without another word. The other threw the general into the car too.

The door slammed shut with a finality that echoed through the quiet night. Nari, who had remained silent through Kate's twisted speech, smiled darkly as she watched the car pull away.

Kate turned to her with a satisfied look. "Now, let's make sure Noah and Anna can't interfere before it's too late."

Grace's sobs faded into the distance as the car disappeared down the road, heading for a destination that might as well be her grave.

Kate and Nari walked back into their home again. They had just successfully killed two birds with one stone, now they'll have to take out Anna and everything else will be theirs.

They would have killed Anna long ago, but they couldn't do that without Mack being free. If they eventually touch Noah Declan's wife, he would never let Mack go free again.ack would rot wherever he is.

The last picture given to them had shown Mack looking like an animal. He looked so slender and dirty. Nari couldn't imagine the torture he could be going through now. All she wanted was for him to be free, but the only way he can be free is only if Anna decides it.

She hated that her fate and that of Mack was in the hands of Anna Sui. She would have to change that fate once and for all.
