Anna stared at Damien calmly, she had been quick to judge him and call him a good person because of his calm demeanor but she was wrong. Here she thought she could prove Noah a point, that a man and a woman as beautiful as herself can be friends without actually having feelings for each other. But she was wrong again. She regretted not listening to her hubby.
Damien apologized to her because he knew it was the right thing to do, not because Noah commanded it. He felt humiliated but it was worth it. He's a prince and should lead by example.
"I'm truly sorry for just assuming things without full confirmation. It was foolish of me." No one needed to know his apology was sincere. He really liked Anna, but since she's taken, there's nothing he can do about it.
"Are you okay with his apology sweetheart?" Noah asked his dear wife and she met his gaze. She was hurt, but Damien's apology seemed genuine and she didn't want to drag the whole situation more than it already is. She could see the malicious look on Noah's face, his gaze was telling her to say no so that he could punish Damien the way he wanted. But Anna didn't want that.
They were far from home, Crownsville isn't Noah's turf, it belongs to Damien. Plus she didn't want Noah falling out with the royal family. She would rather have them as alliances than enemies.
"I forgive you Damien." Anna said and Evelyn sighed. She was glad her daughter in law is not as heartless as her son. While Vincent wondered where Noah took his rebellious nature from and pointed at himself, he had forgotten how evil Evelyn Declan used to be before marriage. Even after marriage to his soft son Lionel. She was a beast.
He even remembered so many times he threatened to collect her dowry from her parents. But each time he threatened, she challenged him to do it and he never did. Vincent and Evelyn were sworn enemies, they could never live together, even to this day, he still hated her for her stupid rules and controlling attitude. If he was still young, he would never have let her control him this much.

"We're not done." Noah suddenly and Damien frowned, so did the king and queen. What did this man want this time? Raven thought to himself. His patience was running off, but he knew he caught all of these. Noah will never expose him. This boy would never. He will only taunt him till he cannot take it anymore and expose himself. But Raven was stubborn too. He would never give in.
Did Noah forget he had the same blood as Evelyn. They are stubborn to the core.
"What is it?" Evelyn stared at her son.
"Surely Damien must have apologized to my wife and because my sweet girl has a kind heart, she forgave immediately." Noah adjusted her butt stylishly on his legs and Anna blushed. There were more than enough chair in the room for her to seat, but he had insisted before his family that she sits on his legs. She didn't oppose and did as asked.
If there's one thing he knows about his wife, is that she liked being pampered so much. She acts like a spoiled baby. His spoiled baby. He would give her the world if that's what she asks and if it is not enough, he would do whatever she wants. That's how much he loves the woman in his arms.
Most times Noah wonders if she has any idea about it.
"That doesn't mean I have forgiven you Damien." Noah said coldly.
"I would hold unto the seal for a while, at least till I'm done with Beth and her stupid friend." He said ignoring the frown from his mother. She had been asking about her daughter before the king and queen arrived and Noah refused to say a word to her.
"You know where she is?" Queen Elizabeth asked to see the man nod. Just how much more surprise do this family have for her? She has been the one wanting to surprise everyone, but they ended up surprising her. The Declan family are trouble, she had taken note never invite them ever again for any function. She sighed, already feeling dizzy.
"How could you harm your sister Noah?" She asked puzzled too.
"Since you know Anna is my wife, I hope you will keep the promise you made?" Noah turned ignored her question. In truth he had no other punishment for Damien. He's the first person that has apologized genuinely in a long time, and he respected him for that. At least he still had some dignity.
"I'm not a coward Mr Declan. I am a woman of principle." Elizabeth said. "Since we're done here, I should head back to my room." She said and started walking away.
Trying to apologize to the Declan's was already embarrassing enough, she couldn't stand the sight of them anymore. Elizabeth knew that if she stayed longer, she would surely faint from everything going on. The thought of Noah having the seal angered her but she waved it off. There's nothing she could do about it now. He should be willing to give them himself, or they're doomed for life.
For one, she was willing to believe Noah's words. He had promised to return the seal once he's done punishing his sister.
"You still didn't tell us why you punished your sister Noah. You know family members are off limit." Noah smacked his lips and ignored his mother's words. Her regular temper tantrums didn't move him anymore. The only person that can make him change his mind is Anna and she knows better than anyone not to involve herself in this.
"Anna talk to your husband since he doesn't want to say anything to me." Evelyn Declan was pissed. But she knows she couldn't pester Noah more than she has. Anna turned to Noah who didn't look at her. Now she understood why he had been so angry when he returned. He wasn't angry at her at all. He was mad because of Bath and her friend.
Anna bit her lips. She didn't want to involve herself, but Evelyn had involved her anyway.
"Noah." She mouthed softly melting his ice heart before he even met her gaze. This woman, so soft and delicate, yet so strong was calling him again, with that voice that sounded so angelic in his ears. He had thought she was shy of expressing her love in front others, but look at her now.
"Hmm." He hummed giving all of his attention to her. The love and affection between both of them could make anyone feel so jealous. They didn't need to do much for anyone to know they were deeply in love.
Damien still wondered why Noah was hiding the fact that Anna is his wife. He didn't want to see more of their nonsense and excused himself out of the room.
The heartless and cold billionaire, Noah Declan's heart, has been melted by his dear wife. Only she can turn this beast into a soft monster. King Raven took note.
