Noah was yet to believe what his sister and her friend had tried to do to him today. He will never let it slide. Beth has threatened to harm his wife and from what he knows of that silly sister of his, she always keeps her words. Thinking about everything she said made him angrier that he clenched his teeth together.
The hall he walked through was dark and quiet, a few maids walked past him, each staring at him as they walked. Not just anyone walked through this hall because it led to the kings chambers. Noah hadn't informed anyone, else they would never let him go through. It isn't always easy to see the king, but he knew his way around so he knows how to avoid the guards and get his deeds done.
He kept walking till he was standing before a door. There were two guards by the door who used their spear to stop him. "State your mission here." One of them ordered.
"To see the king." He made his reply short and convincing.
"The king is not in the mood to see anyone, go back." One of the guard said staring at the intimidating man before them.
"Tell the king his nephew Noah Declan is here to see him." Noah said with a straight face. Tonight's a party night, the king is meant to be available all night, unless they are hiding something. The guards looked at each other and then asked.
"Why are the guards not with you?"
"They asked me to come here since they wanted to attend to some nosey people around. You don't have to worry I'm not here to harm his highness, you can search me." Noah raised his hands and the guards did as asked. When they were sure he was unarmed, they looked at each other again and let him in.
The king had given them strict instructions not to let anyone in, but the man before them seemed harmless and he said he was a Declan. The Declan's were close friends of the king.
As Noah walked into the king chambers, he could hear silly noises coming from in there. It sounded like moans of both a man and a woman. Noah stood by the door of the bedroom as he watched a young girl ride the old man while he moaned. Her clothes and a tray of spilled drink were scattered around the floor that's how he knew she's one of the maids.
No wonder he didn't find the king at the ball. He's busy having fun with a girl who's young enough to be his daughter. "Uncle Raven." Noah greeted interrupting the people who looked so lost in whatever they were doing. Raven shot a glare at the boy and the young maid quickly jumped out of bed. She picked her clothes and dashed out of the room.
Raven was so angry that someone had interrupted them. A stranger he doesn't know either. How did he get in here? Where are the guards he had asked to guide the place? Those foolish boys, they cannot even do their jobs properly. "Who the fuck are you?" The king got out of bed.
He wore his trouser quickly and his shirt, Noah couldn't stand there to watch him, the room still reeked of sex. He walked into the lounge to get a breath of fresh air.
When Raven appeared in the lounge and saw the familiar face, he frowned even more. What is this rascal doing in his bedroom? Why does it have to be Noah who has seen him tonight? A man he can never silence no matter how much he threatened him.
"I want to believe your parents didn't teach you to never interrupt your elders boy." Raven found his seat all dressed up and ready. He had been at the party when his father came to thank everyone for attending his birthday party but he never saw this man arrive. If he knew Noah would be here, he would have doubled his security.
"I didn't mean to interrupt, I need an urgent favour from you." Noah went straight to the point. The earlier he's out of here, the better it would be for everyone. He was still mad pissed at his sister and her silly friend. He had let their stupid behaviour go on for so long and now they think it's normal to plot against him and his wife.
He should remind them a little. Teach them a little lesson. He loved when people forget about him, because then, he would be more than happy to remind them.
"Before we go into whatever you are here for. Let us be clear that everything you saw dies with us." Raven said with a seriousness, but the man before him chuckled.
"What part does, that you couldn't control your dick or that you didn't even do it with a worthy woman, but a girl could enough to be your child?" Raven slammed the table hard. This is what he feared, this big mouth man knowing anything about him.
"Don't you dare think that you can destroy my family Noah." He barked.
"I won't if you give me what I want." Noah said. "I don't have time to exchange words with you uncle, only boys do that. Men talk and negotiate business. You give and you take." Noah said with a smile. Initially, he wasn't here to catch the king or even mind what he was doing. But he hate it when people act like they're smart around him.
He had refused to address the issue for a reason, until the foolish king brought it up. One thing they all fail to understand is that, he's not the same Noah they all knew from ten or fifteen years ago. He's different now. So different and almost unrecognizable.
"Don't play this game Noah."
"You know I'm the least person you'd want to threaten uncle Rave." Noah smiled and relaxed on the couch.
"What do you want?" Raven finally asked to see his nephew's smile broadening.
