She didn't know whether to thank Anna specially for these changes, or not.
"Thank you mother." Anna smiled at her.
"Well, since you're here, I would love to introduce you to a few people. I'm sure they would love to meet you." Evelyn immediately stole Anna from her son and dragged her away from them, leaving Beth who has been attending this events all this while with her to stay with Noah.
The siblings had a lot of catch up to do. The last time they both had reasonable conversation was when they were little. After Noah left the mansion, he became distant from everyone. Though Beth tried to keep their relationship, her brother kept pushing her away.
"I guess we're stuck together." She tried once more, but her brother didn't look like he was in the mood for it. The royal party is always a confidential one, but Noah still saw the need to wear mask, especially now people were eager to know who he is.
"We're not." Came his curt reply as he dipped his hands into his pocket.
"I know you do. You could learn a lot from me Noah." She shrugged.
"Go get acquainted with others, isn't that the reason you're here? To get married quickly?" She frowned at his words. Her own elder brother was mocking her.
"I'm not here for that." Beth said.
"Or, you somehow scared all of the guys in here so that they don't come near you." Noah said calmly, watching how his words irritated his little sister and he loves every bit of her reaction. There's a joy that comes with annoying that stubborn sister of yours.
"And here I thought you were changed and I could at least tell you about the people involved in drugging your clumsy wife that night." Noah frowned at her words, his expression barely showing because of his mask. Beth started walking away and smiled when her brother followed suit.
The palace is a big place, there is always a quiet place they could talk. Beth didn't want to say anything, but she did it to at least get her brother's attention. Noah was right. She wasn't ready for marriage and she wanted to use Noah to scare the men coming her way.
Beth is beautiful, that is no doubt. It's no wonder, after each gathering, their mansion gets visitors from different country and background, ass asking for her hand in marriage. But she declines without a second thought.

"Evelyn." A woman in a beautiful black dress greeted from behind and both Evelyn and Anna turned to look at her. The woman's eyes went wide when she saw Anna, but she quickly composed herself, replacing her shocked expression with a frown.
Everyone knows about Anna Sui. Some may know her as the diamond, others the best model, some a beautiful and kind person who has gone through so much but to Roseline, Anna is nothing but a slut looking for who to leach on. Evelyn needs to be careful of such a girl, she wishes to tell her, but the girl seems to already have a hold on her.
She eyed the young girl disdainfully, removing her attention completely from her as if she isn't worth her attention.
If this is the reason the Declan's have rejected her daughters marriage proposal to their son, then they are fools. A mere model is nothing compared to her beautiful daughter.
"I never knew you were now into... models Evelyn." Roseline began.
"Why do you say that?" Evelyn still maintained a calm demeanor as she listened to the woman. But it's only to an extent she can endure before she bites back at whoever insults her family member. It seems this people don't know Anna's family background.
They don't know that besides her being a model, she's the only heir to the Sui's enterprise. Even if the Sui's were nothing compared to them, they are a household name too and her daughter in-law is far from the slums people try to make her from.
"Oh come on Evelyn, you know what I'm talking about.." Roseline started and laughed.
"What are you talking about?" Evelyn asked her smile falling flat.
"You are not the one asking me that Evelyn. You do not need me to remind you about everything they did to your family." She said to see Evelyn frown and then she smiled.
"Whatever happened in the past should be left in the past shouldn't it?" Evelyn asked and Roseline forced a smile.
"You do not need me to remind you not only models or celebrities can snatch your man. Wasn't your husband arrested for being a pedophile too?" The smile on Roseline's face fell, replaced by a glare.
"All I'm saying my dear Roseline is that everyone's marriage is not perfect, but we let things go be cause we have to. I don't need rumor mongers like you telling me what to like and what not to. The next time you come for my Anna, your apology will be publicly." Evelyn held Anna's hands and they started walking away.
Anna knew now that Noah didn't take his personality from his father at all. He took everything from his mother. The public apology thing sounds all too familiar, it's the same thing he did with Mack and Nari. She smiled.
"What really happened between you and the model she talked about?" Anna didn't know if this was a good time to ask but she did anyway.
"She drugged my husband and raped him. Then she used the photos taken between the both of them to blackmail him for years. When I found out, I told Lionel not to send any more money to her and she released the photos."
