Chapter 288 ROYAL BALL 2

1032words
A huge black truck arrived in front of a corporate building. Two huge men stepped out of it and walked all the way to the back of the truck to open the door. Inside the truck was a man.

The same man they have both dragged from the hall the night of the grand finale of the diamond competition. "Who's there?" Mack was blindfolded so he could barely see anything happening. This people, they had tied him like an animal and taken him out of the city, u der Noah Declan's order.

The worst of all was that they didn't speak English, so there's no way he could make any deal with them. He had been scared Noah had asked them to kill him, but he realized Noah only asked them to give him a rough travel back.

One of the men took out his blindfold and Mack closed his eyes tighter when the brightness of the day got into his eyes. He could tell he was in Summerlane because he could feel the burn of the heavy sun on his skin.

The past few hours have been hell, and it was not funny at all. He shouldn't be treated this way. He doesn't deserve any of these harsh treatment.

The men who had carried him here, quickly uncuffed his hands and feet and threw him out of the car harshly, causing him to crash against the concrete floor hard. "Ah." Mack cried out, squeezing his back as he watched them step back into the car and they drove away. It took him a long while to stand back up.

Mack looked around, his eyes scanning his environment as he dragged his feet through the floor. Mack started walking, hoping to see a car around, but he found none. All he could see ahead were tall trees and thick forest, there was no building around, or anyone walking around. At some point he got so scared that he thought he would be eaten by any wild animal, but none came.

The harsh sun shown on his skin, burning his skin and turning it red. Mack walked for hours and hours, but still couldn't find shelter or anything.

After a while, he heard his phone ring. He brought it out from his back pocket to realize the screen broken from the hard fall. Mack picked his call and a females voice rang through the other end. "Where are you Mack, are you alright?" Came Nari's words. She has been trying to get to him since they arrived but his line has been unreachable. She decided to try it again for the 1000th time today and it surprisingly went through.

"Those men in van. They dropped me somewhere and I've been walking for hours, trying to find my way back, but I can't." Mack said looking around.

"Where are you Mack?" Nari standing from where she sat. Kate who was talking to Bean, turned to look at her.

"I don't know. All I see is large trees and a forest. I don't think I'm in Summerlane Nari, I think I've been dropped in a jungle." Mack said. Where the hell has Noah shipped him to, with such harsh whether. His throat was dried as he hadn't had any food or water to drink since last night.

"What do you mean you don't know? Summerlane is a huge place, it's possible we have forest." Nari said. She hated being disturbed like this.

"I have seen Summerlane forest and it's nothing compared to this." Mack said looking around.

"Alright, take a picture of where you are, I'll ask my guards to come pick you up." Nari hung up.

"What is it?" Kate asked staring at her daughter.

"Mack is missing. It turns out Noah Declan has shipped him to another part of the world." Kate frowned at this.

"That crazy boy. How dare he treat my son in law that way?" She clicked her tongue. That man gives her reasons to hate him everyday, and nothing can ever make her like him or his family. Kate knew from the begining that Noah's family were not at fault since Gabriel was the person to kill Vincent's wide, but she purposely supported her father out of spite.

She didn't like that Anna was married to a man like Noah. Anna shouldn't be as lucky as her mother, Anna shouldn't look like her mother, it reminded her so much of the reason she hated the woman even if she was married to her brother. Kate was happy when she heard of her death, everyday she wished that woman was the only person that died and not her brother.

Her brother would have survived and probably married someone else. The empire they started today was formed by her brother, it was all of his idea. He started the business and she knew if he was alive, it would be bigger than it is today. She knows that's the reason her father willed everything to Anna, because everything they own belongs to her father, but her selfishness and greediness would never allow that.

Even if her brother had started it, they made it a household name. They worked so hard to grow their family after his death. She will never suffer for years to not inherit everything she's worked so hard for.

As Nari sat, there her phone beeped and she checked the message. It's a message from Mack, he had sent the pictures of the place he was. Nari forwarded the message to their security, ordering them to find him immediately.

After a few minutes, they sent a message to her, stating that they had no idea where Mack was as that place does not exist, neither is it in any map. Nari frowned. She should have known, Noah will never make it easy for them. She should have known Noah will punish Mack to the last.

She's the only one free from him yet, Mack is still his slave until Anna does something about this.

Nari couldn't see herself begging Anna again, she would be mocked forever by it. Anna is her sworn enemy, she would never beg her.
