Chapter 246 SECOND TASK 2
1004words
Anna wasn't the beauty without brains type. Even if she decided not to work for her grandfather in the company, that didn't make her less smart. In her days of college, she graduated as one of the best results but she couldn't follow her career because that's not what she wanted.
"Maybe questions like why you want to be the next diamond." Yvonne said adjusting the glasses on her face. She walked to the book rack and brought out a book out of the rest.
"While we're after that, you need to learn a few things about Crownsville and it's culture. That'll help too." Lola yawned as she watched both ladies learn whatever it was they were learning.
She was bored and didn't see herself staying in here for long, especially since she knows Anna and Yvonne will be here for a while. She excused herself out of the library and went ahead to buy snacks and gain some fresh air.
During the time of evening, Anna and Lola arrived back at the resort to prepare for their second task. She couldn't tell if she was fully ready but she was ready for whatever it was they were bringing in tonight. This task was so important for her, especially since she lost the last one.
She couldn't afford to lose this tonight, especially with something she knows so much. Beauty and modelling is her brand, she wasn't new to all of this so it is time she stops playing around.
"Anna started getting dressed for the occasion. As always, every night counts. She needed to look her best because every night is special.
She sat before her dressing mirror as Lola helped her with whatever she needed. Lola is more than a manager to her. She's a friend, an assistant and a manager. She's practically everything to her. She couldn't ask for a better manager.
"Are you nervous?" Lola asked as she watched her do her make-up.
"No." Came Anna's reply. She had been so nervous yesterday and that's probably why she lost, but today's different. She's more confident than ever and is so sure she would answer all of the questions asked.
"You know you have to win this Anna. Don't go too hard on yourself but you need that crown for yourself. Take it as a gift. You've been through so much and this crown would be like a reward for your hard work." Lola stated. She knew Anna didn't have to go so hard, with or without the crown her career is already stamped.
But being the next diamond will open more opportunities for her. Bigger oppurtunities she never thought she could have. That is all Lola wanted for Anna. She was tired of her still being a local model, it is time to secure international deals again.
"I'll do my best." Anna assured.
Once she was done preparing, she stepped out of the room in a beautiful blue dress that flowed with the wind.

"Be careful of your relationship with that girl. I don't know why you're even close to her, Nari is a better option." Chan said to her daughter as she watched both she and Nari arrange her hair.
"Anna used to be my friend before too remember, it's quite unfortunate she doesn't remember who I am anymore." Ava said passing the red lipstick on her lips.
"Why didn't you bother telling her, I thought she's your friend?" Nari laughed as her maids did her make-up. The maids are the maids Kate had instructed to go with her and take care of her needs.
Both she, Ava and Anna used to be good friends when they were little. Her parents weren't as rich as Anna's, but they were better than Nari's family. She was separated from her friends when her father got a new job outside Summerlane, they left to another city to continue their lives.
Ava went to new schools and made knew friend, but didn't forget her two friends, infact she had tried reaching out to them once, but she couldn't.
Her father died after a few years, but Kate still kept in touch with Chan. She had helped them when they had nothing and created a career for Chan. That is why Channel did everything Kate asks, she felt like she owned Kate a whole lot for the help she rendered.
"Why would I remind her after everything you said she did. I never knew Anna would grown to be such a menace." Ava said. She had Intended to speak to Anna only to realize her once good friend didn't recognize who she was anymore. To her, Anna is looking down on them because she's richer.
"Where have you been all this while Ava. How come she didn't even bother to reach out to us aunt Chan?" Noaru asked both people, her eyes lingering on them.
"I tried to reach out to you guys, but I couldn't." Ava stated. A lot had happened since they left Summerlane, things she didn't want to think about.
"Why are you trying to get back to that girl?" Channel asked her daughter as she arranged her dress. After everything Kate has told her she didn't like that Anna girl one bit anymore and didn't want her daughter seen with her. But Ava has a mind of her own and would do whatever she wanted.
"She's a model on Eclipse, I want to get in there." Ava stated without beating around the bush. Eclipse was raising beautiful talented models and she wanted to be a part of it anyway she could.
"Let's hope it works for you, Anna's new sugar daddy owns the place." Nari said nonchalantly.
