Chapter 227 NOT WORTHY ENOUGH 1

1027words
In a slightly dark room sat a man with power. He scrolled through each chapters of the magazine before him when his phone beeped. Noah picked up his phone from the table and turned it on. It was a message sent by Paul.

"Fools." Noah clicked his tongue as he read through the article raising up questions and speculations online. Everyone wondered why the Mongrel's were apologizing to Anna Sui.

Their apology was published by one of the biggest media in the country. They were apologizing for sending Anna out of the hospital the way they did because they claimed they had a special guest at the time and did need so many people in there. If they knew she was Anna Sui, they would never have thrown her out.

Noah frowned as he read through the article. "Fools." He cussed louder, drawing the attention of the serving boy who mopped the floor to himself. Mack wondered who had offended the man this time.

Noah had asked them to apologize to his wife, not humiliate her the more. Whoever had written this article may think they're so clever to word it this way. Only fools will see this stupid article as normal. Noah gritted his teeth in anger.

He picked his telephone and dialed a number. "It seems what I did the last time was not enough, burn down their first sea port so that they know I'm not joking." He hung up before the man even got a chance of responding.

Noah was so furious. He has gotten too soft with this people that they decide to play in his face like this. No one dares mess with his woman. He asked for an apology and all they could come up with was this?

MORE INSULTS?

Just like every prominent families, the Mongrel's were known for the their large seaport around the city. Infact, 70% of their income and wealth came from their vast seaports around the world. The largest seaport is the one Noah had asked his people to destroy.

As he sat on his seat, a knock was heard on his door. Noah stared at it without a word and when the knock continued. "Open it." He commanded Mack and the serving boy went ahead to open the door.

Mack's eyes turned wide at who he saw by the door. The same could be said about the person standing before him. When Anna had told her about him, she never believed untill now. Mack has really been reduced to nothing but a serving boy.

Janjan glared at him. He deserves everything he's getting for hurting her best friend. She hadn't been with Anna for too long, but she had stayed enough to know Anna really loved Mack very much and was ready to sacrifice her life for him. To think he was cheating on her with the stupid Nari girl.

"Who is it?" Noah's deep voice distracted the two of them and Mack gave way for her to step in. Janjan bit her lower lips as she stared at the intimidating man.

She had contemplated whether to come here or not, but since her family had cut off ever means of her talking to Anna, Noah is the best and only option she had left.

Janjan couldn't forgive herself if she doesn't say what she knows. Her family were suffering for something she knew they didn't do. It wasn't her parents who had hurt Anna. They had done nothing. She couldn't let them keep suffering this way.

She had wanted to say it earlier but she didn't have the courage to. Noah has destroyed everything they owned. He has stolen everything away from them.

"What do you want?" Noah asked from where he sat relaxing on his seat as he stared down at her. He didn't have the time for visitors, he was dealing with alof at the moment and couldn't waste a second of his previous time.

"I... I came to talk to you Mr Declan." Janjan said.

"Speak I can hear you." He commanded. Janjan's grip on her bag tightened as she stared at Mack who was cleaning a corner of the room. What she wanted to say to Noah wasn't something she would want others to hear, especially Mack. She didn't want her family to know she has tattle tail on them.

"You can leave." Noah said without looking at Mack and he picked his bucket and towel before stepping out of the office.

"What are you here for?" Noah asked turning impatient.

"I... I think I know who has the tape of our CCTV camera." Janjan said and saw the man raise his brow.

The next morning, Martha and Douglas arrived at the Sui's residence. Both people shaking like they were being chase by a hungry beast. They had gotten a call from Douglas's father about their seaport burning down to ashes overnight. No one knew how the fire started but it destroyed everything they had there, including the little boats and ships.

Maryh and Douglas knew who was responsible for it because his assistant had arrived early this morning stating that their apology was not worthy enough for his wife.

Kate had been right, this was only the begining. Noah is truly going to destroy them the same way he had destroyed the Yong's and he isn't just doing it to them alone. He's destroying them gradually from the root. From their family.

For every failed apology, they would lose something very dear.

The proud Martha has been reduced into nothing as she seeked for help from her neice. She regretted the very day she yelled at her grandneice and sent her out of the hospital. If she knew Anna was in anyway related to the Declan's, she would never have hurt her or talked to her the way she did.

Her father in-law and the entire Mongrel's family were already blaming her for everything. It's enough her husband isn't the favorite child, but causing problem for them is unacceptable.

Everyone knows Noah Declan is not a man to be played with. He's more evil than his parents.
