Anna got off the bed, surprised not to see Noah beside her. Where could he have gone? She looked around the room, searching for him.
Lately, she had become so attached to her husbby which was a little strange for her. She shouldn't get so attached to him. Just then, the door to the bedroom opened, and Noah stepped in.
He was in a shirt this time, his hair disheveled, and, as usual, his trousers barely hanging on his waist. Anna's heart skipped a beat when she saw him, especially as his eyes met hers, and then his perfect lips curved into a dangerous grin. She knew that smile all to well, it isn't a good sign.
He had smiled the same way last the night before and even if she was drugged, she was under his mercy. Noah is a monster in their normal lives, and a dangerous beast in bed.
"Good morning." He took large steps closer to her and she whispered taking a large portion of the sheets into her hands as she squeezed it. She watched him slowly climb the bed as he crawled to her, making her move back until her back touched the soft mattress.
"N... Noah." She whispered but Noah didn't respond to her plea, he tilted his head down to hers until his nose pressed against hers.
"That's not how to respond to your husband's greeting, my sweet girl." His smile broadened.
"I... I'm going to be late for the contract signing event if we do..." Anna paused, blinking rapidly as she tried to understand her words. The thought of what Noah wanted to do with her made her blush instantly and even if she tried to hide it, the man above her has already seen her.
Noah placed both his hands by the sides of her ear trapping her breath him as both his knees held her legs closed. Anna placed her hands on his chest, trying to create a little space between them. She didn't want to do this this morning.
She had an important event to attend but this husband of hers was hellbent on seducing her this morning.
"Do what?" Noah teased, pressing his forehead against hers.
"N... Noah," Anna whispered, feeling his fingers creep beneath her nightdress. Suddenly, another knock came at the door, and Noah paused. He lifted himself slightly to look at the door, and the cunning woman beneath him seized the opportunity to escape.
Anna was all embarrassed and red, feeling so hot that she was unable to breathe properly. She had woken up this morning in search of this monster, but right now, she didn't think she wanted to see him at the moment.
She quickly ran to the shower to pour cold water on her body, trying to cool down and regain her composure. She couldn't feel this way, not now.
When she stepped out of the bathroom in her pink robe, Noah was still in the room, seating on the bed. But this time, he was working with his laptop. "You're not going to work today?" She asked as she damped her wet hair with a towel.
The man on the bed turned to look at her, his eyes moving through ever inch of her before settling on her beautiful face. Noah but his lips and let it go to have her feel strange all over again. "I'm working from home today." He responded casually like he didn't just try to seduce a few seconds ago.
This is what she's been talking about. He always try to seduce her, either with his dominant side or his play boy side. Anna wasn't used to this kind of attention from any man so Noah's attitude felt so strange for her. But she couldn't doubt she has started to see him more than just her scary husband.
"Lola is here with your clothes. She's waiting in one of the rooms, Lurch will take you to her." He said to see her nod. It's a good thing Lola wasn't like her who never keeps to time.
"Will you return today?" Noah asked.
"I don't know, Lola didn't say anything like that." She shrugged.
"Then let's have breakfast together before you leave." Anna nodded and found her way out of the room.
The maids standing in the halls took her over to the room where Lola was waiting in.
She hadn't been online after everything that happened yesterday, she could already tell what people were saying about her already. They would call her types of mean name, and she could already tell that her stupid fake cousin has found a way of putting herself in it.
"Good morning miss Anna." Lola greeted the moment Anna stepped in. Being Anna's manager has made her a frequent visitor to Noah Declan's mansion which was a great privilege for someone like her. Even his family didn't have this opportunity.
"I hope I didn't keep you waiting?" Anna asked to see her manager shake her head. "I just arrived." Lola said with a bright smile.
"Let's get you dressed." Anna nodded as she walked into the closet.
Even if Anna has trained herself not to care about the public's opinion, she's human and as human, their words hurt her too.
It's been so long she had gone for contract signing event and has forgotten what it felt like, but once she wore the twilight fug off shoulder mini dress Lola had brought last night. She felt like Anna Sui again. She felt like the face of the fashion world again.
She tied her hair into a long ponytail that got to her back after applying her make up. Lola who has been staring at her until now smiled.
"A video about the hospital incident has gone viral."
