"What is it, Edward?" Nari asked, hoping for good news. She had worked hard to stay in the spotlight as instructed for days, even going as far as spreading negative news about Anna to undermine her chances of landing a lead role.
Nari hoped to finally get everything she desired, particularly the lead role in the year's biggest movie. "You've been nominated for Best Model at the Diamond Awards this year," Edward announced. "You know that's the most prestigious award, held only once every five years."
A triumphant smile spread across Nari's face. To be named the diamond of the city wasn't child's play. Different opportunities would come knocking at your door, oppurtunities beyond you. "Then we'll have to ensure I win. Do everything you can to make it happen," she instructed.
The Diamond Award wasn't just any accolade; it was the pinnacle every model aspired to achieve. Nari has wanted that award since she became a model. It's her biggest dream. You'll automatically become the face of the city for five years till someone else gets the crown.
It is the reason she had been so jealous the year Anna was to be crowned the next diamond of the country. Nari had been so jealous because she wasn't yet a professional model to steal it from Anna. The week to the award show was the day she had hacked into Anna's account and posted the pictures.
"I'm sorry miss Nari, but being diamond of the city does not require cheating. You would have to earn it fair and square. There is no cheat code for it." Edward said politely. It is a show where different models around the world come together to walk their walk and be the best.
Somehow, this interest in the models this year have skyrocketed higher than usual as everyone was now interested in the girls. If no time have been better, now is the best time to be a model.
Nari frowned at his words. There's no way there wouldn't be cheating. There's nothing in this world that's not bought with money, it just depends on the amount available.
"What else do you have for me?" She asked. She would just have to tell her mother about it and everything will be settled.
"Anna Sui was also nominated for the same award, so when you're there, please make sure you do your best to beat her. It would not only help you, but I'll entertainment company will be better than Eclipse." Edward said.
Eclipse was rising so fast, challenging to be the best entertainment company ever because they had Anna Sui by their side. Their entertainment had Nari, and even if she was on e the best, she isn't as good as Anna.
"Thank you Edward." Nari said sweetly. She was even more interested in the award now that she heard her rival would be a part of it. Nari wanted it more than ever now, and she would do anything to have it.
"Did you find out about the movie, have they decided the lead role?" The movie was all that got her attention at the moment. Nari wanted to be the lead so badly. This movie would do more wonders for her career than the award show.
She could be the diamond of the country and the lead actress of the most anticipated movie of the year. It would be a double win for her. Nari hated that her connections at the moment aren't enough to get her to where she really wants to be. Anna had Noah and he would do everything for her. She could get whatever she wanted.
She felt so jealous as she thought of it. Being a Sui wasn't all she needed to be at the top. She needed someone powerful by her side. Someone that would do whatever she wanted. She needed a Noah Declan.
"The lead has already been chosen miss Nari." Edward said. He only heard the information today and wasn't pleased by the result, but there's nothing they could do. Anna wasn't just qualified, she was the head sponsors woman according to the rumor and he would do anything for her.
How she caught such big fish was quite impressive. They would want the same strong relationship for Nari, that could boost them too.
"So who is it?" Nari asked impatiently. She wanted to know who has stolen her position so badly. A position she has worked so hard for. She knew the sacrifices she paid for it.
"It is Anna Sui madam, it'll be announced today." He said.

She had humiliated Anna herself earlier, so how did she get the role? That cannot be possible, the industry does not work with people who have negative news attached to them. It has always been that way so why will they try to change for Anna Sui?
Why does Anna Sui get so lucky everytime.
All of her hard work for weeks couldn't just be thrown away to be given to someone who didn't even need to audition for the role. Nari hung up without knowing as she screamed her lungs out, her voice turning high pitched. She never imagined today to go this bad for her.
She had been so happy with how everything turned out today. Her grandfather has no chance of surviving through the week, Anna and Grace were kicked out and brutally humiliated today.
And now, Anna has the the lead role for the movie and will be signing the contract tomorrow.
Upon her thoughts, Nari dropped her phone on the floor and started smashing things inside the room, breaking and scattering everything her hands touched while and screamed in anger.
