Chapter 154 THE GRAND RETURN OF NARI SUI

1007words
Elsewhere, in a sleek, modern office, George Borne leaned back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips as he watched the news coverage of the Sui family's latest scandal. He picked up his phone and sent out a cryptic message on his page and then went offline.

The internet turned into turmoil as different headlines were being created. Anna is meant to be on the movie, if they were removing her because of her new state of health, who are they replacing her with?

Everyone wondered as they started to question everything happening.

After breakfast Nari and her mother were just headed out when she saw the news George Borne made.

**"Exciting new changes in the casting world. Stay tuned for an important role replacement announcement!"**

Everyone immediately started speculating, and the industry buzzed with anticipation. George loved stirring the pot, and this was the perfect opportunity to make things more interesting.

Nari leaped for joy. Her phone started buzzing with messages and phone calls again as everyone suddenly wanted to work with her again. She's back, she's back to the spotlight. She couldn't believe it. Her life was slowly coming back to her, this time even better than before.

Kate is such a blessing to her. Meeting Kate that night after everything that happened was the best thing that happened to her. "Mother I have to take this it's really important." Nari said and walked to the back of the mansion while Kate sat in the lounge waiting for her daughter to get back.

Nari had suggested they take pictures together in public places being all nice and sweet with each other so that the news could be believable. It's only a matter of time before people start loving her again.

"What is the meaning of this, Kate?" Grace barged in, throwing the newspaper onto the table. The headline screamed the falsehood she knew Kate had orchestrated.

"If it isn't the long lost Grace," Kate smiled, standing to greet her sister. "Drop the act, Kate. It's understandable that you no longer like Anna, but trying to destroy her while she's fighting for her life is too much."

Kate's smile faded, replaced by a cold, calculating look. "What difference will it make? That girl wouldn't make it to next week, and Nari will still be here. It's best to invest in the living than the dead."

The sound of Grace's palm striking Kate's cheek echoed across the room. Kate's calm demeanor shattered, revealing a menacing glare. She raised her hand to her stinging cheek, her eyes burning with fury.

"How dare you?" Kate hissed, stepping closer to Grace.

Grace stood her ground, her face flushed with anger. "How dare I? How dare you! That girl is fighting for her life, and you're already planning her downfall. Have you no shame, Kate?"

"Shame? You talk to me about shame?" Kate spat back.

"I'm certainly not the one who adopted a public nuisance into the family. You are."

"Public nuisance is what your favorite neice have been all this while and a public nuisance is what she would remain. It's high time you all understand that Nari is now a part of this family and she's not going anywhere." Kate picked her bag from the couch where she sat.

This would be the second time she was receiving a slap today all for what?

For adopting Nari? For making her own daughter stand out?

"Nari will get recognized whether you like it or not."

"Recognized for what?" Grace snapped. "For lies and deceit? For trying to replace Anna while she lies in a coma? You think this will make things right? You think you can erase Anna like she never existed?"

"Anna is a liability," Kate said coldly. "And liabilities need to be cut."

Grace shook her head in disgust. "You're sick, Kate. Truly sick. And I won't let you get away with this."

"What would you do about it Grace?" Kate smiled.

She didn't understand why her family hate her Nari so much if everything Anna had said about her was a lie?

Nari had told her everything that happened between herself and Anna and how Anna posted her nude pictures on her page to shame her but the world shamed her instead. Kate being one who listens to others than her neice fell for Nari's trick too and has been bullying her neice ever since.

She suddenly hated Anna, and the more resentment Anna or anyone showed Nari the more she hated Anna.

"Oh we shall see." Grace said and started walking away. She didn't just blame Kate for any of these, she blamed her father too. If he hadn't approved these, Anna wouldn't be treated this way by her family.

"Mother." Nari called walking over to her mother's side. "What going on?" She asked worriedly.

"Nothing, let's go."

By the time Noah arrived at the hospital, the place was already abuzz with the latest gossip. He stormed through the corridors until he reached Anna's room. He found Grace waiting outside, her expression already told that she had seen the news.

He was equally angry as well and was at the verge of losing it all, but he thought of his wife first. He thought of her reaction if she wakes up to see her family destroyed. He would wait a little.

Just a few more days before she gives him the go ahead.

"You're back." Grace smiled at him. The Declan's are totally different from what her father told them about, they were kind and accepting. And even if they are bad people, they're as equally bad as her family right now.

"How is she doing?" Noah asked Grace as they both got inside. He could see his wife sleeping so soundly, her skin was still a bit pale, but it's better than before. There was at least a few changes on her and he was glad about that.

"The same as always." Grace responded as her eyes moved to her neice.
