The doctor had strictly warned him, they had only a few days to be over the rough part of it but he didn't want to hurt her. The events of the past few days played over and over in his mind, each repetition intensifying his guilt.
Noah ground his teeth in frustration. It was all his fault. If he hadn't sent her there, she would be fine. His wife, his child... The very thought of them in danger was unbearable.
The car sped through the streets, and as soon as they reached the airport, Noah hurriedly boarded the jet. He couldn't tell Chalamet about it, but he'll be sure to send another jet to them as soon as possible.
Hell will break lose if anything happens to his wife and child. He would destroy everything and everyone who's involved.
The engines roared to life, and the jet took off, slicing through the skies with a sense of urgency that mirrored Noah's own.
Noah's fists clenched and unclenched as he thought about what might happen if anything went wrong. Hell he would go berserk.
He was so filled with rage that he had no idea his grip on the glass in his hands was too tight which had the glass shattering. Some broken pieces of bottle pierced his flesh, but the pain did nothing to him. Nothing is more painful than the thought of something bad happening to your family and there's nothing you can do about it because you're in another FUCKING country.
'WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING? He yelled in his head.
He picked up his cell phone and turned it on. He should have called her when he had the chance to. He should have followed his instinct. Something will always go wrong with Anna Sui, she isn't just anyone but his wife.
"Sir." The air hostess rushed up to him with a towel and first aid kit as she started treating his wounds and cleaning the blood already dripping on the floor. The man on the chair staring out the window doesn't seem to care if he's hurt. He's been acting all crazy since he got on the jet and they couldn't understand why.
"Check on my wife in the Shen's mansion and find out what happened to her." Came Noah's cold voice.
"Yes sir."
"Make sure there are no press around there or around her. Send another jet immediately. Prepare for any contingencies. Do not let anyone know of my movements."
"Yes sir." Paul responded and hung up. But when Paul checked the news, he could already see different headlines of Anna Sui involved in an accident. Someone had already called the press on her and they had no idea who.
Sitting in the jet, Noah stared out of the window, watching the clouds pass by. His mind raced with thoughts of Anna. His patience was running dry with each passing second. 30 minutes has never been this long in his life.
Finally, the jet began its descent. As soon as the jet touched down, he was out of his seat and headed for the door. The moment the stairs were lowered, he descended with long strides, his eyes set on the car waiting to whisk him away.
"Take me to the hospital." He said to the chauffeur and the car accelerated out of the jet terminal. After a few minutes, they arrived at the hospital and Noah stepped in. He's never been this scared his entire life but his heart raced as if a million dinosaurs ran through it.
Fear of the inevitable...
"How did they get here?" He muttered staring at the reporters piling up before the hospital. It's a good thing his cars now have packs of nose mask since he got married to a celebrity. He picked one and placed it around his nose, he wore his shades and stepped out of the car.
His guards didn't need to be told twice to surround him immediately as they cleared the path he walked through. "At least this would be the focus for another three hours." He murmured and stepped in.
But just as he had said, his image was immediately spread across the country as everyone wondered who the mysterious man was. He had stepped in the same hospital she was in.
Is he the boyfriend she had talked about. Anna was known to tease them a lot about leaving Mack and having a new man. Is this him?
"Where's my wife." Noah asked the receptionist as he reached the woman's table. "P... Pardon." The woman said intimidated by the overwhelming presence before her.
"Where the fuck is my wife?" Noah smacked the table unable to control himself. For the first time, he couldn't keep his emotions at bail.
"Sir." Paul called his boss as he rushed to him. "Where is she Paul, how is she?" Noah asked staring at his assistant. Paul's lips quivered as he stared at Noah, he didn't know how to relay the news to Noah without him destroying this place. Noah would go berserk and he knows.
"S... She's fine Sir." Paul said.
"And my child?" Paul pursed his lips again.

"Tell us what really happened to her Nari?" Grace who just arrived asked her new neice but the girl looked terrified too. She couldn't tell if this was just an act or if she was terrified by what happened. Anna is truly in a bad shape right now and they couldn't tell what happened to her since neither the doctor or nurses would let them in.
"She's told you a thousand times she doesn't know. One minute she was in the room with the other girl and the next they heard screams from a maid." Kate defended her daughter. Grace stared at Nari who hugged her sister disdainfully, she has always known this girl would being nothing but sorrow to them, she could only hope she wasn't involved in whatever happened to Anna.
Janjan who was seating next to Grace sobbed softly, her wedding was just in a few hours and this had to happen. It's all her fault Anna was like this, maybe if she had gotten the water herself her best friend would've been okay.
She could easily blame Nari for everything, but the girl didn't leave the room. Nari was with her through out. She only went into the bathroom and got out before they heard the scream.
"What really happened Janjan, why is no one talking to me?" Grace turned to the girl tears falling down her eyes. She was scared for her neice, she didn't want anything happening to her. Anna has been through so much to go through this again.
"S... she wanted to get water and left the room. One moment i... I was in there waiting for her and the next moment we heard a loud scream coming from the hall." Janie paused to lick her dry lips. She has been crying for hours blaming herself for everything that happened to her best friend. "W... we rushed out of the room to find Anna on the floor in a pool of blood. I didn't know what happened." Janjan said wiping tears from the corners of her eyes.
"She slipped and fell off the stairs." Mia concluded patting her step daughters back. She would not let Janjan take blames for everything that happened. Besides they had a wedding to attend to, the doctor has already said Anna was stable for now, they'll handle everything after the ceremony.
"How could you say that Mia?" Grace asked staring at her.
"She's right Grace, you know how clumsy Annabelle can be. She tripped and fell, a maid saw it." Kate added.
"A maid? You would believe the words of a maid? Our daughter was almost killed in the Shen's mansion. She's in there fighting for her life and you'd believe the words of a maid?"
"If you have forgotten Anna is no longer a Sui, she's a Declan now. I'm only here because Nari is traumatized, we have a wedding to attend to Grace, we'll deal with this mess later." Kate barked.
Grace couldn't believe what she just heard. "What has come over you Kate? You used to love her, she used to be your favorite."
"Not anymore! I have a daughter to take care of at the moment." Kate held Nari and helped her up and was about to leave when Noah stepped in with the doctor. Behind them was Paul and a few guards.
Everyone in the waiting room rose the moment they saw him. This place was enclosed that they were unaware of the mess he had done in the reception, turning the entire hospital in chaos. He didn't take off his mask or shades matching the long black coat he wore.
"M... Mr Declan." Shen called astonished to see him here this early. They should have been gone before he arrived but they were told he was far from the country. Shen had called Chalamet to stall the man and make sure he didn't hear what was happening, but who knew the information would still get to him.
"Lock them all up except Grace, I need to find out what happened to my wife." Noah ordered and stepped into the theater room with the doctor.
