Chapter 145 WEDDING EVE 3

Nari opened her lips to speak and Janjan walked back in, she frowned at the interruption. She thought Anna must have changed and maybe become more... Cunning and smart like the man she married. But she was wrong.

Nari loved to be wrong. She would deal with her this time and place her in a state of no return.

What a dummy...

She didn't think Anna would be here tonight, but since she was, she could work with her plan b. After all, it was better than the first plan anyway. One way or another she would get that movie role.

Just appearing in the next big movie in the country would elevate her to the next level. She would no longer be seen as just a model/influencer, the actress tag would be added to her name. She has always been a good actress since the incident with her family occurred.

Mack had helped her secure her identity saying her parents were dead when they aren't. To the public she's an orphan from a wealthy family, but to Anna and the few who knows her, she's nothing but a decietful liar hiding her family from the eyes of people.

"What's going on?" Janjan asked noticing the tensed air. Maybe it's a bad idea leaving both ladies in the room together, both of them seem to be throwing invisible daggers at each other.

This is the meaning of the phrase, 'If Eyes Could Kill',

"Nothing much, we're just thirsty." Nari said to her.

"I don't care if you die of water, I didn't ask you to be here anyway." She glared at Nari but Nari maintained her smile. She has been practicing this for days now and was glad she was getting so good at it. Faking her smile.

"She's right Nari. Can you ask the maids to get us some drink?" Anna said politely calming her friend and Janjan smiled at her. "I'll get it right away." She hurried through the door as her figure disappeared from their sight.

"Everything can be given back to you Anna." Nari continued. "But you must give me your role in the upcoming movie." Nari said. "You're married to Noah Declan, how about I borrow his name for a while and feign to be dating him for the time being. It'll help boost my visibility Anna, your aunt Kate will be very pleased. If you do that for me, maybe I'll say a word or two to grandpa, you know I'm his favorite at the moment." Anna rolled her eyes at her words.

Did this bitch really think she's a fool, she turned furious almost immediately, but she was quick to compose herself. Maybe Noah's punishment the last time isn't enough, this time, she'll make sure Nari ends up behind bars.

"Don't you think you're asking too much for something you wouldn't even do?" Anna asked ever so calmly just like her husband speaks when he's talking to his prey. She had no idea she had emulated a lot of special characters in Noah until tonight. She should stay a little far away from him before she loses the human in her.

"What are you talking about?" Nari turned furious. "You're the one who needs your inheritance and family Anna not me."

"I never said I needed anything. And even if I did, how sure am I that I would get it?" Anna asked to see her lose her character quickly.

"What..."

"Come on Nari, we both know you wouldn't do it. You need my families name and protection for your stupid games, just like tonight." Anna smiled.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Came Nari's words as she tried to calm down.

"We're here to celebrate Janjan aren't we? Unless you have a different motive. Janjan is not even your friend." Anna smiled.

"Aunt Grace said grandpa wouldn't attend the wedding ceremony because it's a Declan's wedding so how are you here?" Anna asked.

"Did your new mum sneak you in here to find a husband even if she's so against it?" Anna knew her aunt too well to know her games. This is one of Kate's stupid games, imposing marriage to someone and then taking you out to different events to introduce you to good family and maybe a long the line they get to introduce you to their sons.

Anna knew those tricks like the back of her hands.

"Well, unlike you Anna, the least favorite child, I can get whatever I want." Nari didn't smile this time, she was done pretending especially since she knew Anna already knows who she is and her intensions.

"Hmm, and unlike you, I'm not in need of money to be bribed with it. I have more than enough." Anna smiled.

"Don't think you're too clever Anna. I'll get that movie role whichever way I can whether you like it or not." Nari threatened.

At the same time Janjan stepped back in with a tray of juice in her hands. "I shouldn't have asked the maids to stay clear this room if I knew my night would be interrupted like this." Janjan panted as she stepped back into the room. She saw Nari adjust the rim of her dress as she sat comfortably on the sofa over there.

"We can still celebrate. We don't have to go to a club or hotel before we can have fun. We could do the normal bridal shower tradition and still have fun." Anna said.

"She's right, we don't have to do too much. It's a good thing I came. Anyways, here's your gift." Nari opened her purse to bring out a little gift box as she handed it to Janjan.

Cute Janjan who loved gifts didn't hesitate to take it as she opened it to see a diamond jewel in it. Janjan smiled and brought the jewel from the box, "It's beautiful Anna, isn't it." Anna's eyes turned wide at the familiar necklace.

A shadow diamond necklace with two diamond doves on it. It was none other than the necklace her mother had left for her. Anna gritted her teeth. She must have found it the day the maids moved her things into the basement. She had been too hurt that she didn't go back to get the important things before they threw it away.

Anna held herself from saying a word even if Nari's eyes were on her watching her every move. She wouldn't give her the reaction she needs. Maybe the necklace Is more safe with Janjan, but this is the only piece of her parents she had. This is the only memory she had of them after the accident.

Janjan would feel so bad if she takes it away, she would have to find a different means of taking it back. One way or another she would get back her mother's ring.

"It's so beautiful." Anna responded to Janjan's early question and her friend smiled.

"So, what games do we play, or should we seat all night and talk?" Nari asked staring at both girls who didn't respond to her. They would have had a lovely time conversing and sharing their secrets, but Nari had to come tonight.

"You haven't had your drink Anna?" Nari picked the vodka from the table as she passed it down to her friend. "No, no, I don't want that." Anna quickly said.

"What? You love drinking." Janjan was genuinely surprised about her friend rejecting the drink she brought. She had specifically chosen this drink from the many there since it was Anna's favorite.

"Then you would love your favorite chocolate biscuit." As the scent of chocolate neared her nose she held her mouth to stop the vomit that almost came out. Nari's eyes narrowed and Janjan gasped.

"You don't like it too?" Anna shook her head gently. "I love it, but I'm not in the mood for it." She said to her friend.

"Are you alright Anna?" Janjan asked worriedly.

"I'm fine, I've just been sick since the grand opening ceremony." Anna said. "It could be stress."

"B... But it's been a week since the event. Have you gone to a hospital?" Janie asked to see her friend nod.

"Noah took me there, he even asked his doctor to come see her and he said it was fever and I needed rest." She held her lips again, forcing herself not to puke. Nari who had been watching her from a corner suddenly frowned. She has experienced all of these before.

Anna could fool Janjan but now her, she's not a child to know Anna's pregnant. Her fingers curved and turned into a fist as she stared at her. She couldn't be expecting a child for that man after making her lose hers.

"I... I need water." Anna told Janjan.

"Let me get you some." Janjan stood up to go but her friend held her. "I'll get it myself." She needed air anyways from the disgusting smell of sweet chocolate and vodka.

As Anna move through the halls, her stomach turned again and she held it. "Stay still baby, I'll just get us water." She whispered to her baby.

Just a few days ago she hadn't felt a thing and even if now she barely felt it, the constant pain made her realize she was truly pregnant.

She approached the grand stairs and at the same time felt a hand that pushed her off the stairs and she stumbled to the floor.
