"That daughter of yours, I hope your child wouldn't turn out like her cause I would disown him." Shen yelled at both his wives. Janjan's mother had only visited after their separation because of the news of her missing child. She was too heartbroken to worry about her husband's words.
"Honey, don't speak that way. Janie is a good child." Shen shot Mia a glare and she pressed her lips together to rub her stomach. She might have been the second wife or as they call them, home wrecker, but it didn't mean she didn't love her step daughter and her new husbands first wife.
Shen searched and searched for days, but no one could find her. He swore to skin her alive if he sets his eyes on her, but all of his threats ended when he recieved a call from his son in-law.
Chalamet hadn't only told the man he would still marry his daughter, he had found Janjan himself and was bringing her home.
Shen stood outside with Mia standing beside him, both people watched the black car move in to only stop at the entrance of the mansion. Shen smiled brightly when he saw Chalamet through the glass. The young man removed his glasses before stepping out of the car.
In Shen's eyes Chalamet is an angel sent from heaven, but I. Janjan's eyes, he was just a man who is obsessed with her after one accidental night with him.
"Good day father in law." Like a well trained child, Chalamet greeted his father in law and then went ahead to open the car for his fiance. They had one hectic night last night, Janjan couldn't forget the unforgivable things Chalamet had done to her.
He had even threatened to have sex with her if she tried to escape again. She didn't know why her father liked this man out of all the people that had come for her, or the ones she introduced to him.
"Let's go sweet heart." Chalamet stretched out his hands with the brightest smile displayed on his lips. He had forced his ring on her fingers this morning and threatened her not to remove it either.
He and his cousin were the same, Janjan thought. She could already imagine what Anna was going through too. She probably wouldn't be able to walk anymore by now. Oh her Anna. She wished she could save her, but she had her own problems to solve.
"Don't keep your father waiting for too long now dear, we don't want that for the old lad." Janjan hesitantly took his hands and stepped out of the car. With heavy steps she walked towards her parents.
As usual, Shen frowned on seeing the girl. If he hadn't already given collected her dowry, he would have hit her with his stick by now.
"You." Chalamet called the Butler. "Park the car." He threw his key at the man and smiled towards his father in law.
"Chalamet my boy, welcome home." Shen greeted expanding both his hands to hug the young man. Knowing his family will be related to a Declan. His grandchildren will have the blood of the Declan's was enough reason to smile.
The Declan's are one the biggest families in the world who wouldn't be happy to be married to them. His daughter wouldn't understand now, maybe later she would thank him for it.
They will know no more suffer in their life. Right now, he cared less if he had a son. He had an able son in-law who could run his businesses and manage his finances.
Staring at Janjan at the moment, he realized he wasn't even mad at her anymore. The anger that once settled in his heart was all gone. He could die a happy man tonight, knowing his daughter is married to a big shot.
"Janie." Mia whispered and her step daughter rushed to her side leaving the men to talk.
"Come let's go in." Shen said. He and his son in law were about to walk in when Chalamet gave Janjan one last warning look before disappearing with his new father in law.
"Where have you been?" Came Mia's question as she dragged Janjan's ears. "Ah ah ah.." she held her step mother hands sipping the air.
"What have I done this time?" Janie cried out.
"Do you know the trouble you put I and your mother through because of your disappearance?" Mia asked glaring at the girl. "She almost got an heart attack thinking you have been kidnapped." Mia scolded.
"I'm sorry." Came Janie's apologetic voice.
"What were you thinking? You embarrassed me before the guest." Mia was mad at her step daughter for running away, but she was angry at the fact that Janjan hadn't told her about Chalamet.
"I wasn't thinking?"
"Why didn't you tell me about him? Why didn't you tell me about the trip either?" Mia asked.
"It was impromptu." Janjan sighed.
"What do you mean impromptu?" Mia asked.
"I met him once in college but I forgot about him and recently I met him again the night I followed Anna to Evelyn Declan's party." Mia couldn't contain her excitement.
"How romantic." She sang blinking her eyes many times at her fullness of heart.
"No it's not romantic." Janjan frowned, maybe if she had listened to her father and not work or even decide to be Anna's assistant, maybe she wouldn't meet this devil anymore. She doubts he would ever leave her, especially since her father loves him so much.
"Of all the men in the world to like, why does father love him?" Mia smiled at her step daughters words.
"Because he's perfect for you. And by the way, your father accepted your dowry with his family while you were away." Mia chimmed in.
"What are you talking about?"
"You're married to Chalamet traditionally."
