"Come Noah." The general called him and he walked away with him. He could tell why Anna is so well organized and mannered, she must have grown up in a strict yet lovely home. A girl who can easily get swayed by sweet talks from men, it's probably how that fool had gotten her.
He frowned at the thought of him. Mack is an asshole that he would deal with him personally.
He followed the general out of the mansion and all the way to the back of the yard. There was a garden at one corner and then next to it was a large green field. At the far end of it were four dolls standing and standing to the wind.
The general had his private shooting range which Noah found to be impressive.
"Beautiful." He said. He could already tell the kind of lifestyle general Sui had when he was young. He's no different from elder Vincent, he still couldn't understand why both men didn't get along.
Noah smiled when the general shoved two guns to him, along with the ear protection, shooting eye range protector and tactical gloves.
"Revolver or woodsman?" General Sui stared at the young man before him who smiled. He maintained his gloomy face as he wore his gloves and ear protection.
"To give a man you don't trust a gun..." Noah stared down at him.
"I'm not stupid not to know you wouldn't dare do a thing to harm my granddaughter. The downfall of every man is when he falls in love." The general said picking a revolver for himself. He started loading the bullets one after another before wearing his eye protector.
"You get happier a fufilled in love. Yes you get weak and soft but not that weak, especially when it comes to protecting what's yours."
"That is exactly what I did and see where it got me?" General Sui looked forward and shot one of the dummy's without warning.
"My grandfather is deeply sorry for everything." Noah said.
"Did he tell you everything he did?"
"He didn't leave a stone unturned."
"Why are you still yet to tell my Anna? Your gun is empty." The general pointed out and Noah started loading his gun himself.
"I'll tell her soon."
"Or you're scared she would leave you for another man?" Noah shut a dummy with gritted teeth. He didn't need the any of the protection kit the general had given him. It's not the first time he was shooting anything without protection.
"She would never do that."
"Do you believe that? Anna was once in love with a man before you. I hear first love always wins at last." Noah shut the dummy again without looking. He sniffles. He knew the general was tempting him and he hated he was working.
Anna Sui. He had no idea what that woman did to him from the very first day of their meeting, but he had fallen in love with her and proposed marriage to her.
He could have easily paid her and get the hell out of this mess, but he didn't. Even without knowing who she is and what she wanted he loved her. And he hasn't stopped loving her to this moment.
She made him feel things he hasn't felt before.
"That's not first love, that's a fling. She's over that and loves me now." Noah said proudly.
"I don't think she would when she finds out you're the grandson to the man who had murdered her parents. Do you know how much of a problem that is?" Noah pointed his gun right on the generals forehead.
He had removed his fingers from the trigger but right now, it held the trigger.
"You will not say a word to her or I'll kill us all." Noah threatened.
"Noah!" Anna called.
"Noah please don't do this." He heard her say with tears rolling from her eyes and he quickly took the weapon away. It's abvious he isn't going to pull the trigger, he was only going to threaten the old man not to say a thing to her.
Anna rushed to hug her grandfather. "Are you alright father." She asked cupping his cheeks with her hands to see her grandfather nod.
This old man... Noah sighed. He was poking on purpose and now he has the reaction he's always craved for. Noah couldn't tell why he get out of control. The thought of losing his wife was driving him crazy.
He would rather die, than lose his wife. He didn't care what previous fight or whatever both families have done but no one is taking Anna away from him.
"I'm perfectly fine, I didn't know a little chat with your husband would get to this." General Sui said to his granddaughter.
"I've never seen an old man be a real pussy." Noah said calmly and Anna met his gaze.
"You almost killed my grandfather Noah." Anna met his gaze.
"I wasn't going to pull the trigger sweetheart. He said some...."
"That's not what I or my aunt's saw." Anna said. As much as she loved Noah, she wouldn't take it if he hurt her family, she would be er forgive him. Her family are precious to her as he is. She has lost important people and didn't want to lose more.
"If I hadn't arrived you would have..." A drop of tears ran down her face.
"You should leave Noah, we'll talk later." Anna held her grandfather and took him back into the mansion. She still couldn't believe what she has found Noah doing.
What if she hadn't arrived when she did?
What if Noah had shot him?
She knew he didn't mean to. Maybe her grandfather had annoyed him, but at the moment, she didn't want to see him.
"I keep telling you that man is dangerous and not the man for you Anna." Kate said still trying to shake off the shock of what she had seen.
When they heard the first gun shot, all women had run out of the room to know what was happening. They had heard from the maids about Noah and the General in the shooting range.
Grace has insisted they see to be sure for themselves. Series of more gunshots were heard and they arrived to the scene of Noah pointing his gun to the general while speaking to him.
"He's done more than enough to this family Anna, it's time for you to file for a divorce." Grace said.
"Your phone." Anna turned to look at the man who audaciously walked back into the mansion after what he just did. This man wasn't scared of anything or anyone.
Grace who saw him walk in ran to hide behind her sister Kate as she hide her face from his gaze.
"The boldness to walk in here."
"Call me when you're calm." She turned her face from his as she took her phone away from him. Noah walked away without another word.
"You don't want to be with a man who tried to harm your family Anna. If he did this tonight, I wonder what he would do next. He might even shoot me." Kate said.
"Are you sure you're okay Grandpa?" Anna asked ignoring the rant from her aunties.
"I'm perfectly fine Anna. Do you believe Noah would have shot me tonight?" He asked staring at his granddaughter.
"Noah cannot harm my family, everything that happened is a misunderstanding." Anna said calmly.
"You would pick your husband over us Anna?" Kate asked.
"He said he would kill me and everyone if I told you the truth." General Sui said.
"What truth?" Anna asked.
"You don't know who you're married to." General Sui said.

"We need to find a unique way of apologizing." Mack said settling on the floor the moment they arrived back at home. They all had to visit the boutique they rented their attires from with the loan they were given today.
Mack had no idea Noah Declan would decline their apology, he would have never taken such loan from anyone. He hasn't even thought of paying back.
"We're not apologizing to anyone. I will never stoop so low to apologize to Anna Sui." Nari said. Seeing Anna today made her heart boil even more. The same Anna she had ridiculed and reduced to nothing before.
Noah Declan had called her his wife tonight, and asked her to choose their punishment herself. Anna now had a certain boldness and irked Nari so much.
She would never serve anyone, not to think of Anna Sui.
"Stop with the confusion Nari, you heard what Mr Declan said himself." Veronica said.
"For how long do we apologize, you can clearly see they're mocking us. We'll never get our lives back again. We're broke and useless, Anna Sui won and had finally destroyed us like she promised." Nari barked.
