"I don't like this one." Anna stared at the leaves on her plate.
"Why not?" He chewed it and placed another cooked leaf on her plate.
"E... hem." Evelyn cracked her throat gaining everyone's attention and then all eyes turned on her.
"The engagement party has been shifted indefinitely till we settle the little challenge we have as a family." Evelyn tried to keep a calm composure. She had yelled at Lionel on why he had allowed their son marry a Sui.
The daughter of the man, she herself had helped her father in law kill was now seated before then. Judging by the little things she has seen and what Noah is doing right now, she could see how much he loves Anna.

"We shouldn't disturb you or Anna with an issue we can resolve. It's nothing you should worry about." She smiled and then turned to Anna.
"We would also love to see your family Anna, to at least talk to them." Anna nodded. It wouldn't be hard to I form her grandfather and aunt's about it. Right?
The last time she was there, they were strongly against her marriage to Noah and haven't called since then. She was sure they must have seen the news and everything going on.
Her family were stubborn. They miss her, but again she's married now and they last thing they want to do is disturb her.
"Since the engagement is cancelled we'll be going back home today." Noah announced and Evelyn nodded. She didn't oppose to his words this time. It's even a good idea Noah was taking Anna home.
At least they'll have a little time to discuss more on the trouble at hand and how to deal with it.
Evelyn couldn't face Anna, not since she heard about the truth. She couldn't believe her past would come this way to hunt her. She didn't want to hurt her son more than she has already. If Anna ever leaves Noah, it'd be the end of their relationship.

"Of course." He pulled her close to lay on his chest as the chauffeur drove them to his office.
