She had been worried about Noah faking all of these. Everything about his sudden engagement seems off to her but she couldn't tell why.
"Why do you say so?" Lionel asked looking up at her.
"Isn't it strange to you how your hard hearted son suddenly came home with a woman?"

"You were too distracted with the whole Cara marriage to even listen." Lionel defended himself. If he had spoken to her about it, she wouldn't have listened and would have infact set Noah up with Cara. Just like his father did to him.
Though him and Evelyn have grown to love each other as the years came by, they really hated each other that's the reason they weren't always around for their children. As much as arranged marriages were important with prestigious families for strong bond and lineage, Lionel didn't want any of his children to experience the emotional abuse that came with it.
Especially one couple that might never end up living each other even in the long run.
"And you couldn't tell me about it first. Noah is also my son Lionel."
"I'm so sorry sweetheart. No one is taking that away from you. Noah will always be our son, and I'm sorry I hadn't told you when I found out." He got close to her. "Noah had already gotten married to the girl when he told me and his grandfather." He explained holding her hands in his.
"You know I'll never hide anything away from you my love. Never." Evelyn's frown settled a little bit. And even if she was still angry at Lionel, she tried to act normal.
"When do you think I should announce the engagement party? I was thinking next week."
"So soon?" She rolled her eyes.
"It's not like they'll be in attendance. It's just us, her family and a few guest." She stated to see her husband nod in agreement.
"We only have one little problem." Lionel rose from where he sat to escort his wife down to the executive lounge in his office.
"What problem?" He poured some orange juice into her glass adding a little whiskey as he handed it to her. Evelyn watched him pour raw whiskey into a glass as she waited for his response.
"Her family." Lionel said softly finding his way to the couch and his wife sat next to him.
"What about her family?" She asked again wondering what her family had to do with anything. It's not like they were asking them for a dime for the engagement party. Do they know who they're messing with.
"They should be happy we're allowing our son married to their daughter." She had no idea when that word left her lips but it did. She had aired out her thoughts. She felt disrespected thinking of the Sui's rejecting their proposal.
"Calm down sweetheart. They're in the right at this." Lionel said.
"What are you talking about?"
"They're the family father tried to eliminate years ago. It seems the little girl survived and is now married to our son."

"Noah please." Anna tried to run away but Noah held her still. She has never been this scared in her life. She has had her fair share of Noah's member, she has seen how humongous that thing was and that is what has scared her.
He couldn't possibly want to break her back with that thing. Oh, she would die from pain tonight.
