Chapter 73 THE HOSPITAL

Mack didn't know how to tell Nari about everything that happened. Their lives changed drastically in the blink of an eye. Mack has been reduced from a mighty billionaire to nothing. So have Nari who have been reduced from the biggest model/face of the country to a maid.
"Mack, come." Henry Yong called his son as both men stepped out of the room. He has thought about everything that happened and all he could think about was Anna Sui.
When Nari told him of how the general had embarrassed his son, Henry called General Sui who told him everything Mack had done. Henry had apologized, but he apologized to the wrong person. He felt like this is Anna's way of destroying their family.
When both men reached the top of the hospital building, Henry finally spoke.
"Have you found out who's behind this?" Henry asked and Mack shook his head.
"Think Mack, do you have an enemy that threatened to destroy you or do something bad to you." Mack shook his head. He never had issues with anyone except Anna, and he knew Anna didn't have the right resources to destroy him.
"Who do you have in mind?" Mack asked his father.
"Anna Sui."
"What's going on between them mother?" Nari asked the woman that haven't glanced at her since she woke up. It is unlike Veronica to ignore her no matter the situation.
Veronica who sat frustratedly on the sofa glared at the girl she once loved. Nari had been the reason their properties have been seized by the authority and no one is willing to help or associate with them.
She would have yelled at Nari is the doctor hadn't warned them about how easily she could lose the child if she's stressed. Mack had said he would relay the information to her himself and that his parents should not say a word to her.
"Say something mother. And why am I in this slum, there are so many good hospitals in town. What if someone sees me in here and takes a photo?" Nari panicked and Veronica ground her teeth. She tried to control her lips from loosening on the girl.
"No one would bother taking pictures with You Nari." Veronica said disdainfully and Nari turned sad. Her mother in law is right, she is not the most hated person in the country. But that can change. If Anna could clear her name and turn the people's heart back at her, she could do it too.
She would make a public statement and deny everything Anna had said. She smiled. Her team might be looking for her right now to co trol the media. At her thought Nari searched for her cellphone but she couldn't find it around.
When she had passed out last night due to the shocking news on the internet, she had dropped her phone.
"Where is my phone mother?" Nari asked staring at the old woman who has been acting strange since she woke up. It is so unlike Veronica to ignore her like this.
"How am I supposed to know that?" Veronica asked. "Besides why do you need the phone, the doctor said you should avoid stress or the internet for now till you're recovered." Veronica said.

"That's not possible. Anna is not that powerful to destroy me." Mack said as a matter of factly. The Anna he knew couldn't even hurt a fly or have the knowledge to take revenge on him and Nari. Besides she didn't even know they he was part of the people that destroyed her career.
"You forget the Anna you see now is totally different from the one you have been with." Henry said hoping his son would understand him but Mack didn't want to listen as always.
Mack stared at his father as he thought about what the old man had said. If Anna is the one that has done this to him, then she should be ready to pay for everything she has done. He would get back at her and destroy her for good this time.
Mack had tried contacting his friends, relatives, but no one had agreed to pick his calls. It's almost like everyone is avoiding them. He didn't have the money for Nari's hospital bills, he was stranded and he couldn't possibly leave her in here.
He had no other means of assisting his family. Everything they ever owned has been taken away from them. And just as Mack stood there, the thought of his father's company which he had sold crossed his mind.
He owned 2% of the companies income even it has barely started. He was already working for Noah Declan, he could just ask for assistance and the man would help. From the little he noticed, even if he was yet to see Noah himself, he knew the man was a generous person.
When he gets his life back on track, Anna Sui will be dealt with terribly. He would get back at her and the entire Sui's family.
"Maybe we should head back to my father's mansion for now, there's more than enough room there to carry all of us." He rybsaid to his son and Mack nodded.
"That's a good idea. I'll take you and mother there first thing tomorrow morning. But Nari will still stay in here till I'm done paying her bills." Mack said.
"Then there's no point leaving our daughter in law alone in here with my grandchild. I and your mother are more than willing to stay with her till you've paid the bills." Mack nodded at his father's words.
Both men discussed about other things as they stood there and watched the city ahead. They both never thought all of their money and properties would varnish in the blink of an eye.
