It was a contract Marriage after all, with no parties involved except both of them and his assistant Paul.
She was glad their marriage was not public, that way they'd go their separate ways peacefully without anyone being harmed.
She needed Noah to start up her career but she wondered why he married her if he didn't need her for anything.
Did he marry her cause he felt bad for having sex with her?
Anna glanced at the man staring at his phone. She wondered what his life used to be like before she came in.
"Why did you suddenly get married to me, Noah?" She asked. He wouldn't dare say he married for love like the others cause she hadn't met this man a day in her life.
When she got married to Noah, at first she thought it was a blessing in disguise, but now she knew it couldn't just be a coincidence. There must be a reason he had offered to marry her.
Noah wasn't a cultured person to pity her cause he slept with her. In fact, he's the most worldly person she's ever met.
She has been curious to know his reason. It couldn't be just her that was using him right?
"So that my grandfather could stop sending blind dates to me." He said lazily.
"But that's the old intention, I..."
"Service up! A trolley was pushed into the room immediately interrupting his words. It was the same waiter who had taken their order earlier. But this time he was here with the chef.
"Welcome to Fooding once again." The chef greeted them with the best smile and Anna returned it.
"We've prepared your fruit..."
"We don't need an introduction to the food you can leave." Noah cut in glaring at the man for interrupting his words and the chef quickly bowed.
"Mr Declan." He bowed again and hurriedly left the room.
The waiter placed the food on the table quietly and left the room for the couple.
"You didn't have to be mean."
"Would you love your food being discussed when you can just eat and know what they put in there?" He asked nonchalantly and Anna took a bit from the broccoli on her fork.
Noah stared at his food with a raised brow, "How did you know I love potatoes?" Noah asked.
"The first time we got married. I asked Lurch and the maids if they knew your favorite food and they said no. So I prepared a bunch of foods to find out the one you liked." She has indeed done that but unfortunately, Noah didn't taste her food that day.
"And you didn't even have a bite of the food." Thinking of that day all over again, sadness appeared on her face.
"I had no idea," Noah confessed and she smiled.
"It's nothing. I couldn't even eat a thing either after everything that happened."
"Still, I'm sorry." He said. "I should have at least had a bite." He added.
"It's nothing, Noah, really."
"Why don't I make it up to you, how about another dinner date on Thursday?"
"That's not necessary Noah I'm fine." She was no longer interested in getting close to this man, especially after being told the reason he married her. She wouldn't let her heart be broken again, or be deceived by his kindness.
At least she could say they're even now since they're both using each other.
"I insist." Anna couldn't say no, especially since Noah was persistent about it.
"Alright. Where are we going to?"
"It's a surprise."
Once both people were done with dinner, they stared out the window lost in their thoughts. Noah thought of what his wife would do if she found out his family killed her parents. And Anna thought of the next plan to get her life back on track.
Lola had asked her to live on the low for now till they were ready to expose Mack and Nari.
"Do you dance Noah?" She suddenly asked and Noah shook his head.
"I'm not much of a dancer." He confessed.
"It's not hard, I know you're a fast learner. Plus we can't let the music go to waste." He saw that smile on her lips. The one that was different from the rest of her smiles.
"Alright." Noah rose and stretched his hands to her which she took and he twirled her into his arms. He led her to the center of the room, the musicians who noticed this changed their tune into a more soft and romantic one.
Under the soft glow of the fairy light, the couple fell in step, letting the rhythm control their movements. Everyone and everything in the room disappeared as it felt like they were the only ones in there.
Her blue eyes glistened, and a smile spread across her beautiful face.
Uncontrollable feelings surged through his body, and his fingers tingled in delight. His hand brushed across her cheek. His body was acting on its own, with no chains to hold him back from this pure paradise.
Noah drew her close to his chest, and she wrapped her arms around his neck.
A few strands of her blonde hair fell over her eyes, like a curtain blocking out the sunlight. He desired to see those blue eyes.
She began to withdraw her hand to brush away her hair, but his hand clutched onto hers. He carefully laid her thin hand on his shoulder. He delicately tucked her hair behind her ear, and her blue eyes twinkled back at him in greeting.
Her lips went to his ears as she whispered ever so softly.
"What are you trying to do hubby."
"What do you think?" Noah asked back breathlessly. Every fu**ing thing this woman did did something to him.
Was she deliberately seducing him?
She placed her head on his shoulder her hot breath touching his skin. They continued to dance, too lost in the music to halt.
Time passed as our feet moved in the steps of the foxtrot.
Anna brought her head up and sleepily opened her eyes. She leaned in and planted her lip on his for the briefest moment before pulling out. "That's the kiss I owe you, we're good now." She smiled and tried to walk away, but Noah had other plans in mind.
She can't just seduce him and think she can just walk away.
He pulled her back to himself and Anna regretted why she kissed him in the first place. One arm wrapped around the back of her neck and the next held her waist tightly as he leaned in and kissed her.
He had waited for this moment for days and she had willingly given herself to him. How sweet of her.
Anna blushed in embarrassment, Noah was kissing her before this many people and he didn't mind if they stared at them.
He didn't stop kissing her till he was sure she had turned breathless.
