Chapter 41 A FATHER AND SON CONVERSATION

It's been more than 6 years since Noah last visited this place. When he left, he didn't leave to be back. He left to never return. This place held different memories he didn't want to remember.
As much as he hadn't stained his hands with any blood yet, it didn't mean his family didn't. And knowing his wife's parent's blood could be a part of the spilled blood made him furious.
The car moved silently till it arrived before a silver gate. The guards standing by the gate with big touches and weapons moved closer to the car, to know who had dared visit at this time of the night.
"Who are you?" The first guard's voice rumbled loud enough for anyone around to hear.
"State your mission here." Another guard with him said.
"The young master has returned." The chauffeur announced but the guards didn't look convinced enough. They couldn't count the number of trespassers that have used the same means to try to enter this place in the past. They didn't want to go through the same punishment they went through the last time for a similar mistake.
Noah wined down his glass without looking at any of them or uttering a word. The guards stared at him with wide eyes. It's been more than six years since their young master left. No matter what happened in the mansion, this man never returned.
He ghosted the entire family after he left like they didn't exist.
They bowed deeply and immediately quickly opened the gate and saw the window wined up again.
Noah had been sitting idly in the car for almost an hour of their ride lost in his thoughts and had no idea they had arrived till the guards demanded to see him. He knew they were only doing their job, plus he wasn't in the mood to taunt anyone tonight. Otherwise, he would have made them frog jump to the mansion and back to stressing him.
He had settled everything with the Sui's before he left and he hoped they would keep their end of the bargain. It would be a shame if they didn't.
Once he confirms his family is responsible for her parent's death he would know how to deal with the matter at hand. It's not like she can leave him anyway, he won't let her.
"Never." He muttered moving his hands through his hair at the crazy state he was in at the moment.
The chauffeur drove past the ornate gate, venturing deeper into the expansive estate until they reached a regal castle.
The chauffeur's eyes went wide in awe. This wasn't just a mansion; it was a palatial residence of grandeur, surpassing anything he had encountered in his life.
The Declan's were truly a powerful family to be reckoned with. He felt pity for anyone who would enter the bad side of these people, cause they would crush you to pieces and nothing could be done about it.
Once the car stopped at the entrance of the giant fortress, Noah stepped down.
"Park the car, Morton, Arnold will get you a room for the night." The chauffeur bowed at his boss and stepped back into the car.
Noah walked towards the fortress where the butler and a few maids stood, waiting to receive him.
Years ago, Lurch used to be the butler of this mansion, he was the one Noah had grown up with. So when he left, his mother had insisted their butler go with him and that they would find a new butler.
She had given Lurch to be her news channel, but the old butler loved his master so much and decided to serve him instead of his mother. After all, she couldn't harm him when he was with Noah.
"Welcome back Master Noah." Arnold stretched his hands to receive his young master's coat and bag.
"Where is Father," Noah asked immediately.
"He just returned and is having his dinner with Elder Vincent," Arnold announced and saw his young master nodded.
He has heard things about this young man, though he barely knew who Noah was. From his observation, he knew he was different from the rest.
Maybe that's why he left. Who knows...
Noah let out a deep frustrating sigh as he stepped inside the fortress. The place was not so different from what he remembers, even if a few changes had been made. Like the pieces of furniture, his mother loved to change them after every three months. According to her, it gets outdated and needs to be changed.
"Noah, my boy." He heard that familiar voice and turned to see his grandfather walking up to him with his hands stretched out to hug him. It was the first time in years the old man was happy to see him.
"I'm so glad to see you, my son." Vincent hugged his grandson who didn't return the hug and just stood still. Noah was no different from his father when it came to expressing affection, maybe because of the loveless childhood he had but the old man pitied him.
Any woman who can tame his grandson is God-sent.
Since he was shorter than his grandson, he had to drag Noah by his tie to his level and whispered, "How is she?" In his ears, peeking around to make sure no one sees them.
"She's doing great Grandpa. She asks about you every day." Noah said to see the man jump in joy.
"Such a sweet girl. Oh my heart Noah, it's too tender to receive such sweet news." The old dramatic man patted his chest. Noah could tell if Anna was his wife or this old man.
"You're not dying." Noah rolled his eyes.
"Who says I am? Not yet Noah. I have to see that pretty woman again and of course my grandchildren. At least I'm certain that thing is not useless too." Vincent eyed his grandson, his gaze shifting between Noah's face and his manhood.
"If one thing our family is known for is their active member. When it's time for use...."
"Where's father?" Noah cut in, not wanting to hear another crazy active manhood story from his grandfather.
"Leave that stupid man alone." Elder Vincent frowned at the mention of his son.
"I am forever glad I passed all of my inheritance and company to you, rather than him. Do you know your father wants to send me to an elderly home?"
"It was a suggestion and in ten years. I'm not sending you to an elderly home, I'm building it for you." Noah turned to see his father walking from the dining room.
"Oh please, I never treated my father this way you know. Your karma is coming Lionel, it's coming." Elder Vincent glared at his son.
"You need a wife or a woman. Something to keep you busy father, you're too old to be acting like a child." Lionel rolled his eyes at his father.
Noah on the other hand patted his grandfather's shoulder to calm the man. The man was fuming, if one looked closely they could see invisible smoke evaporating from his head.
"You're lucky I'm old. Back in the day I would have cut off your tongue." The elder spat.
"I'll be in my study if you need me, Noah." At this, Lionel walked away.
