Chapter 258 MORRIS, A RESPECTFUL NAME

1648words
ANDREW POV:

"I thought you quit," Jethro says from behind me, making me frown further in distress.

"I had," I tell him expressionlessly as I stub out the cigarette in the ashtray and then turn to him. I hadn't touched the cigarette since Tessa went through that terrible time close to her death but now, now her disappearance is completely killing me.

"I know it's hard for you." Jethro gives me a sympathetic look and I snap unhappily, "Where the hell is she? Why didn't you save her too?"

Jethro's brow twitches showing his displeasure and then taking a deep breath, he finally reveals, "Your dear sister took her away." His tone gives a strong sense of sarcasm.

BOOM

"Sister?" I raise my brow in disbelief.

"Anna Swan it is, right?" He mentions her name and I subconsciously nod my head but inside my head, it feels like exploding, how could Ann scoop so low?

She had things against Tessa, but my kids, why did she bring my kids in this mess? Does she have any idea how much Aaron and Cyrus are terrified at the moment? They didn't let me leave them for a single second all the time when they were awake.

"Any clue, anything, Jethro… Don't tell me you have come empty-handed." I look at him displeased and he gives me a silent look for a moment and then opens his mouth.

"There is a clue… A place actually… We have footage of her car and at one point her car disappears, so between that area, she might have stopped or put your wife somewhere in between there… I guess and …"

"Where?" I interrupt him in the middle and he looks at me in hesitation, "It's a little far from here, an abandoned place. There were several buildings there, all abandoned and old." He speaks slowly and then again pauses, making me more irritated.

"Can you speak faster, and actually why are we discussing this? We should go to that place right now." I say impatiently lifting my foot to leave when he suddenly holds my arm and stops me from leaving.

"It's dark, and people usually don't go to those places at night." He explains and I look at him puzzled for further explanation.

"Some people… they say some supernatural powers control that place, some witches maybe, people have heard some weird noises, a woman laughing or yelling. But all my men are hell scared they won't step there at night. And I think you should also wait till the sun rises."

"It's been a whole day since she got abducted, how could I waste more time?" I groan in distress.

"You have to wait or you'll lose her forever." Jethro tries to calm me but I feel so mad.

Again, I have failed her, disappointed her so miserably.

Fisting my hand, I punch at the pillar behind Jethro and he looks at me stunned, "F**k, are you crazy or what?" He squeals in shock.

"I am so mad, so f**king mad…" I look at him clenching my fist tightly trying to control my anger.

"Well, in that case. I have something for you." Jethro gives me an evil smile, making me frown more deeply.

****

"Say "Hello" to the man who had kidnapped your family." Jethro takes a fine yet harsh hold of the man's hair and then shows me his face.

The man is shirtless, he has multiple tattoos on his body and his face shows a weird scar making him look like an evil person.

Jethro shakes him violently trying to wake him up and finally he does.

"Ahhh…"

"See the bag is awake." Jethro grin and the man looks up at him in confusion, "Bag…?" He lets out a small sigh and before he is able to say another word, Jethro grins, "Punching Bag."

BOOM

And there I blow a heavy punch on his face as he let out a painful shriek.

****

"Hah… It's been quite a while since I have beaten someone with bare hands." Jethro says thoughtfully while fisting and unfisting his hand.

"How does it feel?" He tilts his head towards me.

"Good," I reply feeling a little light, beating this man makes me a little calmer.

"So now the talking." Jethro says meaningfully and then pulls a chair for me, "The man of the night." He says in a respectful way and I roll my eyes, he could never stay serious and normal.

"Name?" Jethro again takes the hold of man's hair and this time his face looks uglier not because of the scar but because of the bruises given by me and Jethro.

"M…orris…" The man stutters with difficulty.

PAA

Suddenly, Jethro slaps him hard which makes him turn his face to the side, "How could you keep such a respectful name like Morris." He looks at him with disdain and I look at him coldly.

Mafia Maniac.

"Who asks you to kidnap my family?" I ask him straight and he gives me a sheepish look and then suddenly he chuckles, "Andrew Jack… An idiot brother still has no idea who did this…" He mocks me and Jethro raises his hand to hit him again when I raise my hand to gesture for him to "Stop"

"No, I have no idea, please enlighten me." I lean back calmly watching him.

"Your dear sister, Anna, who else?" He blurts out with a bright smile and I notice something in his eyes when he mentions her name.

"Ann…" I look at him with a puzzled look, "But she said, it was you who kidnapped all of them including Ann."

The man blinks his eyes in shock at first and then gives a meaningful smile, "She can't… She won't ever give me any harm." He says confidently.

"Are you really sure about this?" I ask him back calmly with a firm gaze and he looks back straight into my eyes, not losing his confidence for a single moment.

"Well, then, I guess, I need to hand you over," I tell him dismissively and then stand from my place as I take out my phone and pretend to call someone.

"Who are you calling? What are you doing?" The man starts to get anxious.

"The police, who else, Ann has been restrained there. She has put all the blame on you so now you will pay for everything." I tell him expressionlessly and then again pretend to call someone.

"Hello…"

And there he breaks, "Stop…"

I tilt my head and raise my brow at him, "I have something to confess." He says in a low deep voice, "I'll call you back." I pretend to end the call and then sit back at my place.

"Speak."

"I used to study with Anna in Chicago, we both were lovers." He begins and I shift in my seat feeling uncomfortable, lover? Does Ann have a lover?

"His father… he… he used to abuse her and I was her antidote until one day she informed me about her real family… but then… her real father didn't do anything to save her and to punish that bastard, I killed him." He confesses and my eyes widen.

Those dark memories start to envelop my mind, the blood, jolt, and pain.

F**k

I close my eyes to calm my nerves and he continues, "But… then later, I got into an accident and fell into a coma leaving my Anna alone in this cruel world. Finally, when I get my consciousness, I start to find her and I do find her but she is no more my Anna, now, but Anna Swan the CEO of Jack And Swan Co, op," He pauses, his mouth getting dry.

I look at Jethro and reluctantly hand him a glass of water.

"I had no idea about your family or anything about you… She tells me that you were unfair to her all the time and planning to kick her out because of the woman so she needed help and I did help her." He explains briefly and I try my best to not kill that bastard at that instant.

All my life I thought it was an accident but who would know that it was all planned?

"Who are those men who were guarding my family?" I ask him calmly.

"Those were my people, what do you think I made here from Chicago without any legal document with me, huh? Do I look like a decent man to you?" He says with a bright smile showing his teeth and I look at Jethro.

PAA

"Told you, Morris is a respectful name, MF…" He groans, giving him a few more blows.

"So, how many are left?" I interrogate. I am damn sure Ann isn't keeping Tessa on her own, there must be people protecting her, but how many we have no idea.

"Few…" He spat some blood looking terrible.

"Few?" I raise my brow in questioning and he smirks, "You will know when you reach there."

Jethro pulls out a gun pointing at his head, "How many?" He questions in a cold dead tone that would literally freeze people to death.

His grin vanishes and immediately he blurts out everything he knows.

After a whole hour of interrogating and beating him tremendously, I and Jethro finally walk out from the cage he has built under his house.

While climbing the stairs, my stomach growls badly from hunger and Jethro looks at me with a raised brow, "When did you eat last?"

"No idea." I give him a blank look and he looks at me furiously, "I am not going to risk my life with a hungry man. You need to eat, Andrew."

And with that, he drags me to the dining table and didn't let me leave until I finish the food which he had filled on my plate.
