Chapter 240 SHOCKS AND REVELATIONS

1505words
ANDREW POV:

Even though I shouldn't be worried, but I am. What she did yesterday by disobeying me and the kind of situation she was in when I arrived. If God forbid, I would have reached a little later. She might have ended up in the hospital bed or maybe worse than that.

It makes me terrified and angry at the same time.

She should learn to not disobey me when I ask for something wiser.

I watch her back disappear feeling anxious in my heart. I hope things will be better, I hope she will be able to forgive her father and step out of this misery.

I sat back in the car watching my both sons curled into their sleep. I could never imagine, that one day I would have a family, two sons, my children.

I feel so proud in watching them, those are my gifts from GOD, my precious assets.

I am lost in admiring them when a light knock on my window disturbs me, I tilt my head annoyingly just to see Tessa's mother standing and staring at me through the window.

OH, F**k !!

"Hello…" I open the door and jump out hurriedly greeting her enthusiastically.

"Oh, Andrew, what are you doing down here, come up. Let's go." She takes a hold of my arm and I look at her happy face and then at my car where my children are asleep.

"Oh, actually…" I start to think, there is no way I should be lying now, tell the truth.

Enough is enough now, Andrew.

"Tessa is here," I tell her and she looks at me, stunned. She opens her mouth in disbelief and then closes it again not knowing how to react to this piece of information.

"Where is she?" She asks while looking around emotionally.

"She has gone to meet Cyril," I avert my gaze towards the hospital's door and she shakes her head with worry, "Oh no, Dylan is up with Cyril. I have come here to send him back home." She reveals and my hair stands in panic.

"What? Cyril isn't alone?" I exclaim.

"No, Dylan is with him." She replies.

F**k, no…

Tessa shouldn't be encountering her father first, she already looks so tense. I wonder how she will react when she sees him first instead of Cyril.

"I need to go to Tessa, could you please keep an eye on the children," I tell her hurriedly while opening the driver's door for her to sit. "Children?" She sits inside and asks while staring at me blankly.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, Tessa and I had twins, you are grandmother to two boys," I tell her quickly and close the door.

Then I rush inside the hospital, on the second floor. Hurriedly I climb the stairs. I shouldn't be behaving so impassively but somehow I am having bad vibes, something bad surely is going to happen.

Oh please God, let it be my misconception, please.

Panting, I reach the door and notice Tessa standing at the door, her jaw drops, face pale, and as I lift my foot to reach her she stumbles from her place losing her balance terribly.

BOOM

"Tess." Her father calls out and holds her in time, I come over and take her from his hands quickly.

"Tess… Tess…" He looks shocked and surprised and keeps calling Tessa instead of helping. I look around, it's utterly quiet and I think she has fainted after seeing her father from the shock, I guess.

"Nurse Lea…" I yell, no response.

Considering my only option, I take her to the nurse's station, it was empty and I immediately settle her on the chair with my support, "Water, can you bring water?" I look at her father who is now looking at both of us anxiously.

He nods his head in hesitation and then rushes to bring the water.

"Here." He hands me a water bottle and I try to sprinkle some water on her face. "Tessa… Tessa…" I pat her cheeks slightly and she frowns, her brows twitching making her look distressed.

Very slowly, she blinks her eyes and then finally open them, "Andrew." She breathes and I hold her closer, "Yes, I am here, are you ok?" I ask, scanning her tensely.

"Hmm…" She nods and I hand her a water bottle to take a few sips, "Tess." Her father calls her out excitedly.

COUGH … COUGH …

At his voice, Tessa coughs out the water she was just drinking, sprinkling it all over my clothes.

Bravo, Mr. Dylan Will.

"Tess, dear, are you ok?" He leans and touches Tessa's shoulder worriedly, but Tessa angrily pushes his hands away from her as though she is disgusted by his touch.

Oh, poor old man.

"Stop pretending that you still care, because now I know that you only care for Cyril, your son, not me." She vents out her anger and it's a good thing, instead of keeping it inside she should take it out.

I stay as a silent watcher looking at the miserable father and a furious daughter.

"Tess, dear, I was helpless… Cyril was on the death bed." Her father starts to explain to her but she snaps furiously at him, "And what about me, I was also on the death bed, did you bother to come over and check on me, for once."

All the blood from her father's face drains at her revelation and he turns to me for the verification.

What? Why me?

"What? Why are you looking at him? I am your daughter, you should have kept an eye on how your daughter was living, no?" Tessa scoffed in disdain and her father flinches looking guilty, I could notice he has turned older since I last visited them.

"You have thrown me to wolves, didn't you feel any mercy for me, Dad?" She chokes and I look at her in the offense.

Come on, Tessy, be fair, I had been good to you, even tried to save you. Don't insult me by calling me a "Wolf"

I try my best to stop the urge to roll my eyes at her. This isn't the right time.

"Tess, dear, I was helpless, forgive your father, forgive me." Her father crouches down, holding her knees and apologizing like a small child, his eyes red and I am sure he is going to cry out soon.

"Father?" Tessa laughs out painfully, "Fathers don't sell their daughters." She states bitterly and then pushing away his hands from her knees she finally stands up.

"You both men have ruined my life, I will not forgive any of you neither I will allow you both to interfere in my life. I wish I had never been born to such a cruel father like you." She says with a red face and tearful eyes and then turning she marches towards Cyril's room leaving me and her father alone in misery.

"Tess, my dear," He cries out behind her but she doesn't budge at all.

Sigh

I look for the tissues and then offer him a few politely. The man has turned into a mess of harsh words from Tessa, it's ok, she will be fine soon.

"How dare you still stand here." His father growls at me and I give him a surprised look, Like really?

"It's all your fault and your sister's. You both have ruined our family, taken away all our happiness." He started to scold me continuously and I frown badly.

"This won't make things better, you know." I try to sound as calm and respectful as I could and he turns his head, glaring at me, I could even see his nose flaring fire.

Woah, the old man is mad.

"I will make things better now," He says with gritted teeth and I ask, curiously, "How?"

"Now, Tessa will stay with me, I will try her best to convince her and she will never ever go back to the wolves."

Wolf, there is this word again.

"For your kind information, your daughter is still married to this wolf," I tell him with a sneer and he looks at me with wide eyes.

Shocking, huh?

"She will divorce you." He states firmly.

"Oh, I doubt that, and besides you should focus on your apology first, Mr. Will," I tell him with sarcasm and he gives me a stern look.

"She is my daughter, she will definitely forgive me." He says with confidence and I really want to laugh out loud, but somehow I restrain myself, let him live in his bubble world.

"Best of luck then, I need to check on my kids, now." I wish him luck like a gentleman and then walk away from him when his shout comes from behind, "Children?"

"Oh, yeah, you are grandfather to two boys, My and Tessa's sons." Turning my head, I give him a wolfish grin and then walk away with my head high.

This day is full of shocks and revelations.
