Chapter 217 WANT HER BACK
1674words
I should be calm, I should be patient, but no, Tessa's behavior has broken all my barriers, I have started to get nervous and afraid. She has the determination in her eyes to leave me again. I thought that my kiss would let her know how much I love her and not want to leave her but no, she looks persistent in not seeing my emotions at all.
I saw her taking the elevator and going to the terrace as I follow her quietly and then watch her from afar. Finally, I decided to talk to her. To clear her assumptions and let her know that I am not in favor of her leaving me.
I want her back, I want my family back together and happy.
I had sacrificed my love, my happiness for 4 years but not anymore.
I want her back at any cost.
I try to explain to her, wanting to convince her to change her mind but no, her calmness has started to sweep away all my hopes for her, for us.
"No, I don't want this." I start to shake my head like a stubborn child losing all my calm.
"Andrew, stop." She holds my shoulder firmly and snaps furiously at me.
Finally, I loosen my grip on her legs and then lean back to meet her cold eyes on me.
She looks unmoved by my words and my emotions, another hit to my heart, crushing my hopes completely.
"I love you," I confess emotionally as I hold her hands in mine petrified of her indifferent behavior toward me.
"And I don't." She says and my heart skips a beat, I blink my eyes in complete disbelief when she pulls her hand out of my grip and then says each word clear and loud.
"I DON"T LOVE YOU ANYMORE."
BOOM
A huge rock seems to press on my heart all of the sudden and my mind goes numb completely, she moves her lips but I am not able to hear a single word coming out of her mouth.
I don't love you anymore... She doesn't love me now... Even when I have confessed my love for her.
She doesn't look impulsive, nor angry, she seems calm, utterly calm, determined, decided, and firm on her words.
"You're lying," I mutter in disbelief.
Yeah, this is all lie, she is pretending just wanting me to leave her alone. That's all.
"No, I am not." She looks irritated making me snap my head up to her.
"You confessed to me that you loved me," I argue stubbornly.
"I did, indeed... But...." She pauses, her eyes getting dim and she flinches from discomfort as she blurts out finally, "You have betrayed me, broken my trust."
BOOM
Another heavy rock lands on the top of my chest as I start to realize that this conversation won't take us anywhere, she is stubborn to not listen to my explanations, she just keeps on repeating the same thing again and again. There is no way I would be able to change her mind. Perhaps, I should quietly give her what she desperately wants.
Leave Her Alone.
Yes, she doesn't want me near her so I should leave her alone, I won't show up to her and neither try to engage her in any conversation at all.
"I know our past has affected you a lot. But, I had tried to keep you away from it. I had tried, Tessy." I stand up and then touch her soft cheek, her face flushed, her deep blue eyes piercing my soul. I lower my head as I peck her forehead gently.
"I am sorry for everything." I breathe heavily and then hurriedly march back to my room afraid that she would stop me and then things would turn worse for us.
Sigh...
Why things can't get better between us?

RING ... RING ... RING
The phone at the side table keeps ringing but today I am not in the mood to attend breakfast at the table with Ann. I need some alone time, already I am exhausted from what happened last day. I glance at the clock it shows 6, and Aaron wakes up after 8 so I'll join him for the breakfast then. I make a silent mental note and then hugging the pillow tightly in my arms I attempt to sleep again trying to gather myself some peace.

"Morning..." I lean and kiss Aaron's head, he is up and ready. He smiles at me and then greets me morning politely, "Morning, Daddy."
"Did you have your breakfast, yet?" I ask him as I sit beside him.
"Uhmm, no, daddy... I am waiting for Mommy." He says and just then I look around and notice that again Cyrus is gone from his place which means he must be in Tessa's room.
It is going to take some time to make Cyrus used to sleeping away from his mother. Just like Aaron.
"Let us both have breakfast then, first," I tell Aaron as I pick him up and march towards the elevator and then straight to the kitchen.
At the door, I bump into Selina she has arrived early today.
"Morning, Sir." She greets me politely and then pats Aaron's head lovingly. "And how are you feeling now?"
"Super Super Fine," Aaron says overconfidently and I and Selina chuckle together at his childishness.
"Mommy, look Daddy is here." As I enter the kitchen with Aaron in my arms and Selina beside me Cyrus shouts in excitement pointing his finger at me.
I smile at him, keeping Aaron beside him, and then kiss him morning, he smiles shyly at me and then greets me back.
"So, you again sleep in your mother's room, last night?" I inquire and he shrinks from the embarrassment.
"There was a ghost under my bed." He exclaims and Aaron looks at him in astonishment.
"Are there really ghosts, Daddy?" He looks at me, his eyes eagerly waiting for my response.
"No, there aren't any ghosts at all. If there were any wouldn't they harm Aaron last night? Did you see something last night, Aaron?" I turn to Aaron and ask.
"No... nothing, Daddy." He answers me back gently and then I turn to Cyrus, "See, there isn't anything, Cyrus. Your little brother also knows this." I pat his shoulders trying to make any sense and let his fear go away but Nah, instead he looks at me hurtfully, and then his gaze shifts from me to his mother.
Bravo...
Why this little man can't be obedient to me for once?
"Mommy, Daddy thinks I am a liar but I'm not." He wraps his arms around him looking offensively at me with his lips puckering in an angry pout.
"Cyrus..." Before I am able to clear the misunderstanding, his mother jumps in and then picks Cyrus up in a kind of protective way and I look at her suspiciously what was that for?
"I have prepared Cheese Toast for my lovely son. Come, let's have it."
Very well, ignoring my appearance completely.
Her actions made me furious, yet satisfied, it's better this way I guess.
The trio leaves the kitchen leaving me and Selina alone, "Would you like some toasts too, sir?" She asks politely and I realize that Tessa hasn't offered the breakfast to me and neither Miss Celine is anywhere to be seen.
"An egg toast with a cup of tea, light please," I tell her and she obliges.
Thankfully, I have the backup in Selina's face otherwise I would be starving while watching all three eating together and savoring their food.
"Mommy's food is always delicious." When I reach the table I hear Aaron praising his mother's cooking skills and who else knows it better than me I had tortured her a lot once upon a time.
A faint smirk appears on my lips as I take my seat beside Cyrus who was busy wolfing down cheese toasts, such a refreshing sight to watch. Aaron sadly could never cherish his food like him.
But I notice that Aaron is also eating the same toast but with less cheese and butter, I guess. It's slightly different from Cyrus's toast which means Tessa is taking his diet into her consideration.
No doubt, she is a good and caring mother.
"Eat, daddy." Aaron politely offers me a piece of cheese toast, I glance at Tessa she is eating silently with no expression and then I watch Selina coming over with my breakfast as I softly refuse Aaron's request.
"Selina has brought my breakfast."
Selina placed my breakfast in front of me with a polite smile and I thank her. She leaves with a blushed face, I know she must be brewing things that I couldn't help to stop.
I devour my breakfast, Thankfully, Selina is a good cook, at least the tea and toast are well cooked and have satisfied my hungry stomach quite nicely.
Everyone eats in silence and after they finish eating, Tessa picks up their empty plates and walks back to the kitchen to keep them back in the basin for wash leaving only my plate remaining at the table.
Wow, why she always has to show her hatred so openly to me?
Sighing, I pick up my plate and cup and scurry to the kitchen to keep it back.
Seeing me approaching, Seline walks toward me with an overwhelming smile, "Oh, you should have called me." she says looking nervous.
"Oh no, that's fine. I was just leaving for the office." I inform her. "Uhm, the breakfast you made was very delicious, Thank you very much Seline for making my day." I intentionally sweeten my words as I praise Selina a little loudly so that Tessa could hear them properly.
She doesn't move an inch nor show any reaction to it at all.
Sigh, she has turned into an icy person that is never going to feel the warmth of my love towards her at all, sadly.
