ANDREW POV:

"Do you still want to visit your parents?" I ask Tessa after a while and she looks at me stunned.

"Yes, I want to visit them… Can I?" She asks excitedly.

"If you want, I can drop you but… You have to be sure to not discuss your visit with anyone, not to Ann, and neither to Miss Celine." I tell her cautiously after all I don't want Ann to scold me later for my impulsive decision of taking her to her parent's house and honestly I have no idea if she would come back with me after knowing the truth or not.

"Done," She agrees happily and I ask for my kiss, maybe our last kiss, I hope not. Our kiss was long and full of passion. I am trying my best to keep this memory of her kiss in my mind. I am really starting to like her now.

Just one night with her and she has changed my feelings. What would happen later?

I have no idea.

"I will drop you and then go straight to the office. Don't contact me, I will contact you when I come to pick you up. I don't think you will be able to stay until dinner, so kindly don't blame me later."

I explain everything to her briefly, "As you say," She replies like a good wife, great.

After dropping her off, I drove straight to my office. Lillian looked surprised when she saw me walking into my office and then raised her brow suspiciously, "What happened? Did the surprise go wrong?"

I shake my head, women and their guesses.

"No, Lillian. Nothing happened. I am just being ambitious towards my work." I tell her and she snorts, seriously Lillian.

Only Lillian is the person in my office who has the privilege to roll her eyes on me and also snort at me, even mock me and tease me except her no one dares to say a word in front of me.

But, as Lillian is with me from the start and she has always been like a sister to me I always allow her to be however she wants with me. We never actually share the boss and employee bond, we are like a family.

I switch on my laptop and start typing an email when I notice Lillian still standing in my office, I look at her and then raise my brow, "What?"

"I can see you are wearing your wedding ring now." She notices and I shrug embarrassedly after all her words are getting true. I am falling for the woman that Ann had chosen for me the way it goes always.

I am getting used to the things that Ann got for me but Tessa isn't a thing but a human being and my legal wife too.

At Tessa's thought, I remember about her father and then call Ron to my office, "Ron, could you please check the timing when Tessa's father leaves the office? I mean Mr. Dylan Will." I give him his full name even though I know he doesn't need it. He will automatically find his name after all he has detective skills added to his job.

Today, my mood is happy and I couldn't help but think about Tessa and my night with her, this woman is really gorgeous. I wish I had met her in different circumstances. I tried to reach Ann but her phone is off.

I need to check on her after all I have made such a big decision without her consent.

"At 6 ' o'clock, he would leave the building," Ron informs and I nod my head.

At 5:30 I leave my office and drive straight to Ann's office building where Tessa's father works. I wait for a while and then notice him walking out. He probably takes a bus from here to Arvada.

I drive towards the bus station and then press the honk.

HONK… HONK…

Everybody notices my presence except him, seriously. I roll down the window and then shout his name, "Mr. Dylan… Mr. Dylan…"

Finally, he looks at me bemused, "Sir… Sir Andrew…" He stutters and bows his head respectfully.

"Get inside," I gesture with my hand and he quickly comes over and sits inside the car.

BOOM

I drive away feeling a little nervous but keeping my calm and composed face, I keep looking at him from the corner of my eyes.

"How's Tessa, sir?" He asks, breaking the silence between us.

"I dropped her at your home in the morning. Now, I am going to pick her up." I reply.

"Did Madam Boss allow her to come to us?" He asks, confused.

"No, I didn't tell her." I tell him and he looks at me in hesitation, "You shouldn't disagree with Madam Boss's decision after all Tessa is…"

"A contracted surrogate…" I fill in the blank frowning in displeasure. Tessa is so talented yet her father decided to sell her womb to Ann, so shameful. How could a father do something like this?

For a moment, I feel rage and hatred towards her father but somehow for Tessa, I gulp it back trying to keep my calm and focus on the thing because of which I had offered him a ride.

"I was helpless." Before I am able to speak, her father blurts out bitterly.

"No father is so helpless to sell his daughter's womb for the sake of his son." I sneer in disdain. His cruelness reminds me of my father, the way he sacrificed Ann for my sake, his son.

"Tessa loves her brother, she could happily give up her life for Cyril. I know her." Her father says and I correct him immediately, "Her life not her child's life."

"She will forget about everything." He says dismissively.

"How?" I ask, curious yet unpleased.

"I will send her to Chicago where she will pursue her career of becoming a jewel designer. Tess is a very ambitious and hardworking child." He explains and I scoff.

"Oh, so you think sending her to Chicago would make her forget about everything, her child, me, our marriage."

He looks at me for a moment and then asks, "Why are you being so concerned for her?"

F**k, I press the brake immediately at his question what type of father is he? He should be the one being concerned about his daughter instead he is showing displeasure while I am being concerned for her.

"She is my wife, the mother of my child," I emphasize each word with force.

He looks at me blankly for a moment, surprised, shocked, and frightened too.

HONK … HONK …

We were in the middle of a heated argument when the cars behind me started to honk, making me irritated and frustrated. I drive away.

"Do you love my daughter?" He asks and I hold the steering wheel tightly trying my best to not press the brakes this time.

"I am starting to accept her as my wife," I tell him truthfully dodging his real question, like what am I supposed to tell him that I am in love with your daughter's body, she is fabulous in bed and I am thinking of keeping her with me just because of this reason.

Huh…

"So then you should protect your wife and your child." He states.

BOOM

"She has the right to know the truth," I state firmly with a clenched jaw. F**k, I am getting so mad at this moment.

I thought as Tessa's father he would help her and reveal the truth so that she won't be hoping for the things that are never going to happen later. Also what if she won't let go of me or the child or what If I am the one who wouldn't want her to go?

Multiple question marks and doubts arise in my head but there is no answer for this.

I park the car outside his home finally, "Take care, Sir Andrew." Her father says politely and then gets off but my emotions feel like a roller coaster as again I attempt to convince him, I don't want to reveal the truth to Tessa, it has to be her father.

"I am still requesting, think about it, you have to tell her." I step out of my car trying to pursue him again but as usual, he is stubborn.

"No, this isn't the right time." He replies, making me frown, and just as again we are going to start our heated argument, Tessa's voice takes our attention, "Dad.."

She greeted him and then hugged her tightly. My heart tightened. I could see how much she loves him, and what will happen when she will know the bitter truth of her father's actions.

"Are you ok, Tess," Her father asked as he cupped her cheek and I suppressed the urge to pull Tessa away from him instantly. "I am good and happy and you don't need to worry about anything. Andrew takes care of me a lot."

She looks at me with a smile and even though I am filled with flames of anger somehow I manage to squeeze out a small smile to her.

"I know, he will protect you." Her father says as he looks at me, Wow, seriously, you are the one who has created this mess so it's your responsibility to clean up, don't put everything on me. After all, I am not a God damn savior at all.

"Mom has been waiting for us, Let's go." Tessa tells me excitedly as she pulls my arm but I am completely done with everything as I stop her abruptly, "Tessy, We need to leave now."

"Now?" She asked.

"Yes," I seethe. She looks up, her eyes pleading and I look away F**k.

"Tess, go with your husband. I'll handle your mother." Her father's voice comes up and again my anger rises as I hold Tessa's wrist and pull her towards the car. I didn't let her go until I made her sit inside the car and then putting on her seatbelt I slammed the door hard.

BOOM

With a hard glare toward her father I drive away recklessly, F**k my mind is going to explode at any moment.

I shouldn't have come here and talked with him, it just spoils my mood further and added to my worries for our future.

Now, this marriage isn't up to me Tessa, your father has decided your fate and I am just a helpless pawn in it who can't stand against anyone and neither protect you.

I am not a warrior who would fight I am a weak pawn who just knows to hide.
